03/06/2026: A relaxing and delicious experience to remember!

12/05/2026: We spent a week last June at the "Le Marmotte" hotel, and even a year later, I still have wonderful memories of it: a gorgeous, quiet place, cozy, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a varied and delicious breakfast and dinner. Alessandro and his wife are kind and available to help without ever being intrusive. I hope to return. And sorry I only wrote my review today... Best regards to the whole family. Tiziana Valenti

23/08/2026: Great for a post-walk aperitif!

21/08/2026: Spacious interior, overlooking the brewery and with plenty of tables available. Fantastic, tasty, and perfectly cooked dishes; the same goes for the desserts and bread, which are also homemade. Not all of the on-site beers were available at the time; the one we tried, Meja, was excellent (we bought a few bottles to go). Friendly and fast staff. Excellent value for money. An unmissable stop on the Val Maira tour (ample parking).

17/08/2026: When we booked, they told us we could choose between two seatings: 7:30 PM, 9:00 PM, or 9:30 PM until closing time. Traveling on foot and due to a heavy storm, we were delayed, arriving for dinner at 8:00 PM. We didn't even have time to get in before they told us we were late and had to leave the table for the next seating at 9:00 PM. We specified that we were willing to change tables during dinner or eat outside despite the biting cold (and a child). They told us they would advise us on whether to order food or pizza, depending on the kitchen's availability. When we ordered, they didn't raise any objections to our choice. The first courses arrived, and before the second course, we were already met by a waitress spraying the table where we were eating with disinfectant (it was a large shared table) and barking at her colleague that the next reservations were arriving. It was 8:40 PM, and they pointed out that we had 20 minutes. We couldn't order dessert and had to finish our wine quickly. Nothing to complain about the food, average but definitely not comparable to other options available just a few minutes away. Truly disappointed by the lack of hospitality in a place that should be a place for vacation and pleasure, we left with a bitter taste in our mouths (and not in our glasses). We'd like to thank the waitress who served our table because she was extremely kind and friendly in every way... but only her!

13/08/2026: Beautiful, good food and super welcome

22/07/2026: First let me say Gaia was so, so helpful. We asked for some thoughts on local hikes, and she was very knowledgeable and willing to give her time. Also, the food was super tasty! The only reasons we would give four stars are 1) the floors were super creaky which made it a little more difficult to keep the sound down; 2) it would have been nice to have an outlet in our room near the beds, though this is not so important; 3) breakfast was served with a delicious compote but only with bread as an accompaniment, making it the least nice breakfast we had seen across seven locandas/rifugios. As the last diners, we did ask for eggs, which were granted, but we noticed no one else was served eggs, and that was kind of unfair.

17/07/2026: The evening meal was exceptional. Delicious pasta with creamy zucchini and mint, zucchini omelet, polenta with pamiggiana (tomato, eggplant, and cheese), and... tiramisu for dessert (a very good meat dish for non-vegetarians). A very warm welcome and very friendly service.

17/06/2026: Brilliant place to stay. I was made most welcome even though I had not booked in advance. Owner and team helpful and friendly. I will be back. Grazzi Mille

14/06/2026: We stopped there for lunch during a hike. Because we arrived early, we were allowed to sit in the deck chairs in the enchanting garden and were served drinks and snacks. The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times. My gluten intolerance was no problem for the kitchen. The food was excellent and prepared with regional products. The bread is homemade and tastes delicious.
