20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.

19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

10/07/2025: I celebrated my birthday. Everyone was extremely satisfied.

06/07/2025: The location is the only plus point of this restaurant, otherwise an experience to absolutely forget. We went for dinner on Saturday night at 9 pm and, to our great surprise, we were told that two fish dishes we wanted to order were not available. We were therefore forced to settle for the grilled food, the only alternative offered. The raw fish appetizers were the first alarm bell: the tuna did not taste like tuna, the spider crab tasteless. Then, instead of the first courses, the grilled food was brought directly to us. After an excessive wait, we asked for the first courses: they had not yet arrived and, at that point, we asked to cancel them. The response? "You ordered them, so you pay for them anyway." One of the three first courses arrived shortly after, evidently reheated: hot dish, dry and tasteless pasta. When we observed this, the waiter responded rudely, sarcastically inviting us to go to the kitchen to check if there was a microwave. Unacceptable. The last two plates of spaghetti with lupini beans arrived even later. Freshly made, decent, but nothing that could improve the experience. After we expressed our disappointment, the staff began to openly show us annoyance. We were treated with condescension and rudeness. In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is the classic tourist place where the quality of the food is poor and the service leaves much to be desired. A wasted opportunity in a beautiful location.

17/06/2025: Wonderful location, clean, well organized, great staff

15/06/2025: Very friendly lifeguards, but TERRIBLE management at the reception. Parking in the sun because there are no tents and no discount. There are 3 of us, we ask for sunbeds and an umbrella. We arrive at the lifeguard and see that he has only put 2 sunbeds. I go back asking for the third sunbed and I find myself FORCED to buy another umbrella. Absurd and not very fair. We will not return.

27/06/2025: I do not rate the food because in two years that I show up I am rejected by the staff in a rude way asking if there is a time when we can book. They even told us to call for the following day. Today we did it and no one answered. I'm sorry. We will try again next year hoping to be able to leave an excellent review.

26/06/2025: Unkind manager. We had two plates of spaghetti with clams but it looked like spaghetti with butter.

Pizza 🍕, pasta 🍝, antipasti, fish 🐟 – this isn't cooking, it's magic. Anyone who leaves here hungry has either already eaten four courses or has forgotten their sense of taste on vacation. 😊 Service with heart (and language skills)! The staff is super friendly, funny, and helpful. 🗣️ English? ✔️ 🇩🇪 German? ✔️ 🇮🇹 Italian? Of course! 📍 Insider tip off the main road You won't find it right away – but that only makes it better. No tourist hustle and bustle, just real food and genuine hospitality. 🎯 Conclusion: If you don't try this pizzeria, you're missing out. And if you find it once, you'll definitely come back – with an empty stomach and a huge appetite!

28/06/2025: This was our 2nd choice of the night but the service was ALMOST impeccable. Great food and the ability to take home leftovers makes you want to eat even more.

22/04/2025: We had lunch on Easter Sunday with the whole family... We were immediately welcomed by the owner who advised us and followed us throughout the lunch The staff very professional and friendly As soon as we return to Chioggia we will certainly return

21/04/2025: Characteristic place, the owner is friendly and helpful, I recommend the starters and main courses with the catch of the day. For the first courses I was disappointed not so much for the quality, but because there was practically no fish as a condiment, specifically the risotto was cooked well and tasty but practically with four small pieces of cuttlefish counted.

13/06/2025: Service was very nice, food was cold and nothing special. Just for tourists.

12/06/2025: The food was good but there's plenty of room for improvement, but the service was definitely abysmal. We wanted a shandy and a Spezi. They told us we had to mix the drinks ourselves. He then charged us extra for each one. The total bill was split in half, which was also too much to ask. Well, all in all, the worst I've experienced in recent times.
