01/01/2026: We didn't get the welcome aperitif as I was told, I'm talking about New Year's Eve dinner, from one course to the next, it took over 45 minutes, too many people, the music was so loud that the tables on the dance floor were constantly vibrating, intense smoke was blowing out, the air was unbreathable to be able to dance, there were 8 of us, 6 slices of panettone and we paid for coffee and water, very disappointed
06/09/2025: We went to this restaurant last night. The place is lovely, right on the beach, and the staff was very kind. It's a shame we didn't have a good meal: the pizza was burnt, the tiramisu and the pistachio dessert weren't good at all. What a shame.

07/03/2026: The ingredients are of the highest quality, with incredibly fresh and flavorful fish, and there's a clear passion for their craft. The welcome is warm and the service is impeccable. The food arrives in a reasonable amount of time, a sign of home-cooked, express cuisine. We had two first courses and a mixed grill, which captured the aromas of the Adriatic. Everything was excellent! The prices are more than fair, and the location is lovely. Well done! We thank you again and reiterate our appreciation, recommending this lovely restaurant to other travelers.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

01/03/2026: We went in February 2026, on a weekday, for a business lunch. I noticed the interior was nice; we sat outside on the veranda. The food was good (we ordered a starter, main course, a drink, and a coffee) with a decent selection, and the price was more than fair. I recommend it.
08/02/2026: Terrible, dirty, food that's almost like canteen food, and way too expensive for the service. They sat us in a large veranda with paper placemats, sticky tables, chairs, and menus, all for €2.50. Spaghetti (broken 😲) with clams and some kind of thick sauce was €20.00.
Chosen only out of desperation, as Sottomarina has nothing to offer in the winter, and everything is closed. A disgrace for both the restaurant and the city.

01/02/2026: Four of us had lunch today at this lovely restaurant, quite small with about 30 seats. We immediately noticed that the service was a bit slow: from the time they brought us the menus to the time they took our orders, it was quite a long wait; the wait for the dishes proved to be long as well. We ordered two appetizers, four spaghetti with clams, and a bottle of extra dry Prosecco. They brought us a bottle of Brut, asking us to try it, as it was a very good Prosecco and not as dry as the Brut, but more like a dry one. Perplexed, I asked if the Extra Dry was out, but they told me it wasn't out, that we had to go get it elsewhere, and that they were simply offering us a different wine to save us any more time. The mussels with pepper sauce had a very salty sauce, while the spaghetti with clams lacked salt and pepper. The tiramisu had a delicious cream, but the ladyfingers hadn't been soaked in coffee. A lunch that could have been perfect, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Add to that the incredibly long service, and I honestly wouldn't return.
01/02/2026: Cristina is wonderful, the food is fantastic, and the service is impeccable.
A wonderful discovery... we'll definitely be back.

08/03/2026: We booked at 12:45 and ordered shortly after. The first courses arrived at 2:20, just as we were about to get up and leave. The food was acceptable, but definitely not worth the wait.
08/03/2026: Terrible. After an hour only the bottle of water arrived. We left the restaurant without having lunch.

23/10/2025: We stayed at the Grand Italia Hotel, and were often there in the mornings and for aperitif time. Excellent breakfasts and aperitifs, too. A special mention goes to Valentina, the bartender, who was incredibly kind and always had a smile. Highly recommended!

04/09/2025: I've dined at this restaurant/pizzeria several times and have always had a great experience 👍. The pizzas are good 🍕 (they also offer takeout), but especially the fish dishes (I usually prefer the mixed grill 🐟🐙🦐). The staff is helpful and courteous. The quality/price ratio is definitely good too. They also accept meal vouchers 🎫, making this place an excellent option for those who have them. RECOMMENDED 👍.

16/09/2024: Siamo stati una sera di settembre a mangiare da Alberto Capo.
Ottimo l’antipasto, eccezionali gli spaghetti alle vongole e superlativo il fritto, tra i più buoni mai mangiati.
Si beve anche bene, con qualche bottiglia di vino naturale.
Bravo! Torneremo!

03/02/2025: Posto carino servizio da rivedere in quanto solamente 2 persone in sala tra servizio tavoli e bibite, quindi impegno da apprezzare ma servirebbe una mano in più.... Per quanto riguarda le pietanze antipasto cicchetto del capitello per 23 euro una cicala una sarda in saor una mazzancolla in saor uno scampo 3 uova di seppia una capa santa e tre pezzetti di polpo, detta cosi sembra un sacco di roba ma vi assicuro che non lo e'.
Per quanto riguarda la qualità sinceramente non abbiamo mangiato male, il mangiare male è un altra cosa, ma essendo a 15 metri dall'acqua in una città portuale rinomata per la cucina marittima mi aspettavo decisamente qualcosa in più a livello di gusto e sapore....
Spaghetti con vongole pieni di sabbia, spaghetti allo scoglio sembrava un sugo surgelato, ma di quelli scadenti, sapore zero.
Spesa totale per un antipasto uno spaghetto con vongole una porzione per 2 di scoglio due branzini due contorni acqua e 1lt di vino 190 euro, poco meno di 65 euro a testa.
In conclusione se vi adattate andate a bacari che spendete meno e mangiate meglio.
04/01/2025: Lunga attesa, alla richiesta di pane dopo un'ora la risposta piccata è stata che avrebbero portato il pane non appena avessero avuto tempo essendo solo in due a servire.
Alcuni piatti buoni (scoglio e frittura) altri medio bassi. Conto importante con nessuna offerta di limoncello o amaro. Lunga attesa anche per caffè finale. Nota positiva la saletta dove eravamo seduti tranquilla e accogliente. Nell insieme esperienza così così

26/04/2025: Locale curato (pare, perché si mangia in penombra !) piatti curati ma se avete fame, non è il posto per voi. La cortesia delle cameriere innegabile ma non altrettanto quella del proprietario che ha un atteggiamento quasi infastidito e spocchioso . Un sorriso costa poco e almeno quando pago QUEL conto, potrebbe rallegrarsi .
Non ci tornerei .
22/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel centro di Chioggia. Il menu offre un’ampia scelta di piatti di pesce locale freschissimo. La cucina sa esaltare l’ottima materia prima. Buonissimi il gran bollito di Chioggia, il crudo di mare, la grigliata, come pure i dolci (consigliata la degustazione della piccola pasticceria). Il locale è elegante, i tavoli sono ben distanziati e il servizio è curato, professionale e gentile.

Per mangiare qui dovete prima fare un bagno nell’autan. Ci hanno mangiato le zanzare. Servizio poco attento. Bicchieri sporchi di rossetto. Una frittura 20€.
25/07/2024: Frittura mollica. Probabilmente l'olio non era abbastanza bollente. Credo che sei fossi andata io in cucina sarebbe venuta decente

04/05/2025: Sono stato per pranzo con amici...abbiamo ordinato 2 primi piatti e 2 crudi di pesce...i primi sono arrivati quasi subito, i crudi dopo più di mezz ora. Servizio troppo lento e nessun sconto in cassa.PESSIMO
02/05/2025: Tutto perfetto. Servizio e personale gentile e attento al cliente. Pesce fresco e cucinato molto bene,dolci buonissimi. Locale molto carino e pulito con posti a sedere esternamente e internamente. Rapporto qualità prezzo buona. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
