23/06/2025: So good that we returned several times during our Elban holidays.
In addition to excellent and abundant food, we found attentive service, the waitress was very kind and cordial.
We definitely recommend the rice (exceptional), the tuna tartare, the paccheri and if you can order it the day before, the cacciucco! The cod and sea bass were also excellent.
In short, we really liked it! Excellent value for money.
We will definitely return during our next Elban holidays.

23/06/2025: Today Monday June 23 we stopped for lunch. Fast service, friendly and professional waiters. Food with generous portions of both fish and meat dishes. The only thing I found expensive 2 liters of water, in plastic bottles 6 euros. I recommend it!

The service was rather below average, except when the chef personally took care of things, in which case it worked.
The restrooms were okay.

30/05/2025: A lovely and charming seafood restaurant run by a family that’s been doing this for a couple decades! The owner who is the head chef is truly wonderful like the rest of the staff and we loved everything we had for our dinner. Every course was mesmerizing and I truly think this restaurant has the best seafood on the island. I can totally recommend the soup that everyone has mentioned in the comments but everything else is also equally delicious. We had amazing shrimp, mussels and clams, bruschettas with anchovies and mozzarella, seafood soup, shrimp risotto and fish with potato crust. The latter was the highlight of the dinner.
The staff was also super friendly and sweet which made the whole experience wonderful. I look forward to coming back when I return to Elba island.
25/05/2025: It was recommended to us for the fish soup, the best on the island! We had a soup for 2 and two fillets of sea bream with potatoes. Abundant and delicious dishes!! Really super soup! We will return, thank you!

07/06/2025: Wow, that was truly amazing. From the service—every dish on the menu and daily specials was explained to us—to the creativity and flavor of the dishes, to the ambiance of the restaurant. There was also a very broad wine selection. The staff also provided patient, detailed advice. The prices are a bit high, but absolutely reasonable considering the service. You get impressive Tuscan cuisine—congratulations!

24/04/2025: Servizio di sala impeccabile! Notevole sperienza gustativa e visiva, abbiamo apprezzato tutto, anche l'abbinamento con un ottimo vino elbano che non conoscevamo. Squisito il polpo adagiato sul millefoglie di patata e il totaki di tonno. Serata particolare!
22/04/2025: Porto azzurro ed in genere offrono una grande gamma di locali dove mangiare pesce molluschi e crostacei alla maniera tradizionale dell’ isola con sapori tipici del luogo. Non mancano anche le trattorie che servono piatti poveri dei minatori e dei contadini di una volta.
Ma sono pochissimi i locali che offrono una cucina di alto livello, elaborata ed innovativa con la possibilità di un menù ricco di crudite, di primi e secondi curatissimi nella presentazione e nel mix di gusti che esplodono in bocca, pesce freschissimo e lavorazione efficace della materia prima.
Uno di questi è la Botte Gaia, situato in una ex chiesetta sconsacrata, con pochi coperti (indispensabile prenotare) ed uno staff estremamente competente e prodigo di spiegazioni. I dessert fatti in casa sono originali e creativi. Grande carta dei vini con gemme locali e dei distillati, compreso un whisky ottenuto da luppolo locale.
Esperienza fra le migliori in assoluto.

- I ordered gnocchi. To be honest, canned ravioli would have been just as good, if not better.
- The salad starter was delicious and beautifully presented.
- I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
08/06/2025: We had dinner there with five adults, a toddler, and our dog. The service was very friendly and attentive from the start.
The pizzeria is located right on the harbor, so you can enjoy the evening sun for a long time.
The food was delicious; the lasagna for the child even got priority and was served immediately.
Cozze was the best we ate on the island! The pizza was very good, cooked directly in the wood-fired oven. The restroom was very clean.
Water for the dog was brought without asking.
We can absolutely recommend this restaurant; we felt very comfortable! 🤗

05/07/2025: Characteristic restaurant by the sea. Classy atmosphere, very accurate service, helpful and very friendly staff. Excellent food, fresh fish, well presented dishes. Good value for money. Recommended.
27/06/2025: The food was good. The place is very spacious and has a great view of the harbor. The price is a bit high. The dishes are not very substantial. The staff is courteous.
