05/04/2024: Popped in randomly Friday lunchtime and although there were plenty of other diners (a good sign) the manager found a table for 4. We enjoyed a mix of dishes: Tuna, fritto misto and zuppa di mare. Sides were chips, side salad and oven roasted potatoes. Service was really quick and everything arrived nice and hot and tasted delicious. We were all delighted with the meal and coffee to finish. Definitely recommended!

07/04/2024: Without a doubt I appreciated the fact that they don't send you away at 2pm, like most restaurants and trattorias in Italy alone do, because the kitchen is closing. We arrived precisely at 2.00 pm and they refused us in a couple of trattorias in Viareggio. Instead they replied: "Why not?", but the mixed fried fish we ordered arrived in five minutes and, in fact, we could feel that it was heated (not enough) and rather full of oil. The price of said dish is 16 Euros each but they kindly offered us coffee
06/04/2024: Spartan environment, but both the dishes and the price are truly excellent.
Traditional, but still every dish has that "extra" flavor that makes it excellent. Friendly staff and fast service, despite the crowds.

30/03/2024: I was there for the first time celebrating a birthday, there were 13 of us, we ate the fish cooked in a superlative way at a more than fair price, I ate the real cacciucco from Livorno, the staff were very kind, we will definitely return, highly recommended (5 stars)

03/08/2023: What an illegal place yesterday on Halloween. If you expect 1,500 people to attend, you pre-sell tickets and then create several lines to enter with a QR. But come on, I'm not going to be the one to tell you how to run a nightclub because it's very brother-in-law. It's a shame to have to stand in line with people pushing and the crowd about to enter leaving simply because of the stress, then we regret when things happen like what happened this weekend in Seoul. Thank goodness I didn't pay €15 to enter.

05/04/2024: Dinner with my partner last night. Full atmosphere even on a Thursday evening. The food was very good despite some dangerous gastronomic vicissitudes (I must say very successful). The only demerit only if I have to find the flaw, the lack of a sommelier or waiter expert in wines. The girl had an approximate education of the type: "I tasted it good". The customer who intends to enjoy a good wine, even spending considerable sums, is left wanting. I hope it's a constructive criticism, to keep the place on a high profile like the rest of the cuisine.

04/04/2024: After many years I returned to this seaside restaurant, excellent quality food, good service, only one flaw, you can't bring the salad and then leave the place to chat, we had to ask for the dressing, for this reason I only give 4 stars for the service, 3 stars for the environment because I believe that a restaurant like this deserves more space.
01/04/2024: We went for Easter lunch.
Very kind staff. The waitresses are a little "immature" but always very kind and helpful.
What is not acceptable is the lack of cleanliness. We had lunch with wine glasses that were visibly not very clean but given the glasses of the other tables and since we are decidedly rustic, we did not ask for replacements.
Personally and from experience when I ran a restaurant, the fault lies first and foremost with poor maintenance of the glasswasher and then with those who put the glasses on the table without looking at them.
Good quality food with normal plating. The only suggestion is to avoid decorations with ground pepper on a flat edge. Personally I love pepper but there are people who don't like it.
Would I go back?
YES for cooking No for cleaning.
I'm sure that with little effort they will improve the aim to deserve 5 stars.

17/03/2024: i piatti, pur realizzati con ingredienti modesti, risultano gradevoli. In particolare i fondi di cottura sono saporiti ed equilibrati. Anche con cozze "striminzite" (forse a causa di cottura ripetuta) e con gamberetti microscopici nel complesso le relative pietanze sono appetitose

Piatti molto buoni e ben preparati, cucinati espressi. Buone anche le porzioni.
Servizio molto attento e professionale, complimenti al capo sala!
Tempi di attesa medi, probabilmente dovuti al fatto che tutti i piatti sono preparati espressi sul momento.
Ci torneremo sicuramente!

10/03/2024: The seafood appetizer was very badly eaten and looked like a pre-packaged dish.
Seafood rice and spaghetti with seafood prepared with definitely frozen fish, non-existent flavour.
Experience not to be repeated.

07/04/2024: You book because you know about the Sunday rush, you arrive 15 minutes early and are told "come at the appointed time". But in the meantime you seat couples of guys without reservations. You are "saved" only for food. Very grumpy staff.

04/04/2024: I went to these restaurants for Easter with my family, the location is large and beautiful, the veranda has incredible light, they offered an à la carte meat menu with higher prices than their usual, I imagine for the special occasion, I ate a tartare with stracciatella and truffle as a starter, good, but the real highlight was the first course, the pici with lamb ragù, truly delicious, while the others had the polenta crostini and the mixed starter, generous portions, good quality but there was that something that didn't make us say wow, furthermore the first mushroom dish unfortunately arrived with overcooked pasta, but oh well in the Easter chaos we understood it. The super confidential waiters make you feel in a homely atmosphere. I will definitely come back to try their classic menu which also includes fish. (Will update)

The staff is super welcoming and attentive, the food is truly delicious and the atmosphere is just right for a special dinner. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an exceptional dining experience in Lucca!
