23/10/2025: The restaurant is found upon entering through Porta Trapani. At the door, a kind gentleman provides information on the complicated parking procedures (only one parking spot works with cards and debit cards).
Gratefully, we decide to go in.
Friendly staff, delicious arancini al burro, and a delicious Genovese for dessert.
Fair prices.

The preparations combine tradition and creativity, with special attention to detail. The staff was extremely kind, professional, and attentive to the customers' needs, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. The service was prompt and attentive.
A highly recommended destination for those who want to enjoy excellent local cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

RISTORANTE LA PRIMA DEA

24/10/2025: La Prima Dea in Erice was such a lovely surprise. The food was beautiful, full of genuine Sicilian flavour, and made with top-quality local ingredients. The olive oil was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted — I could have happily eaten it on its own!
What really stood out was the hospitality. The waiters weren’t pushy or trying to grab tourists’ attention like you often see elsewhere; they were genuinely proud of the amazing food they serve. Service was super quick too, which made it perfect for a relaxed but efficient lunch.
We tried the arancini, pane cunzato and panino — all absolutely delicious. And the friendly chap outside, calling people in with his charming Italian accent, really made my day.
La Prima Dea is one of those places that reminds you what good food and genuine warmth are all about. Highly recommended!
19/10/2025: We had the aubergine pasta and fish cous cous and both were amazing. We’ve had fish couscous somewhere else before and thought this was even better!

15/02/2026: Karaoke is something for everyone, and there are those who don't. Having two rooms, one practically half full where there's no karaoke and one where you can't even talk due to the chaos, it would have been right to let the customer know when making a phone reservation and ask where they prefer to eat their pizza 🍕. Absolutely poor booking management.
15/02/2026: Yesterday, my partner and I had a Valentine's Day seafood dinner with very high expectations given our previous positive experiences at the restaurant, only to be deeply disappointed. While personal tastes can influence the food, there were some obvious problems.
Water, soft drinks, and wine were immediately brought to the table, but unfortunately, they didn't open them at the table.
The appetizers were generally decent; the shrimp cocktail was a real treat, excellent, as were the swordfish pearl and the mussels au gratin. The octopus carpaccio was drowned in oil and flavorless, the salmon tartare with orange mayonnaise lacked even a hint of flavor, and the tartare itself was completely unseasoned. The tuna mousse was passable, as was the shrimp and crab fritter.
The first courses didn't impress us; the dressing seemed watered down. The trenette with shrimp, pistachio, and asparagus oil lacked the flavor of asparagus, and the lobster panzerotti weren't fresh.
The second courses were the same: the stuffed salmon roll was very dry and arrived practically cold. The filling was good overall, but the gratinated shrimp skewer wasn't gratinated and had a strong ammonia flavor. Unfortunately, the dishes left an unpleasant aftertaste. The side dish of baked potatoes with cheese fondue, without fondue, was simply melted cheese that arrived cold and with the consistency of plastic. It definitely wasn't a fondue.
Too much oil, too much garlic, too much disorganization.
The dessert had been there since the Paleolithic era; it tasted like something frozen years later.
I'm deeply disappointed, and I'm sorry because we've eaten very well here in the past, but last night I don't know what could have happened.

Ristorante Hotel Moderno

02/10/2025: Old hotel with minimal rooms and dated furnishings. Excellent location in the restricted traffic zone. The lady who runs it is courteous and attentive. Be careful about staying in the restaurant for dinner; prices are far too high for the portions.
14/09/2025: It seems to me that many of the reviews are derogatory. Or they refer to before the renovations, which took place around 2023 or 2024. What is certain is that the Hotel Moderno is now highly recommended. The rooms and bathrooms are furnished to a four-star standard. The restaurant has an enchanting view, both day and night; the menu is basic, but chef Baldo executes it very well. The wine and spirits list is basic but well-chosen, and we found the bulk white wine to be very respectable. The staff is friendly but discreet, the lobby is cozy and welcoming, and the background music is relaxing. Anyone who writes that parking in Erice is difficult and expensive either misunderstands or is not acting in good faith; for €12, you can park for a week in various parking lots. Erice is a medieval village, offering superb views, a pleasant climate, a relaxing atmosphere, and traditional cuisine and pastry shops that offer good value.

Abbiamo preso la pizza OTTIMA con un impasto eccezionale!!! Due passiti( 10 euro, un po’ cari) e un cannolo squisitoooo.
18/07/2025: Pizza gustosissima, impasto eccezionale, rapporto qualità prezzo ottima, camerieri giovani e simpatici, proprietaria dolcissima consiglio a tutti di passare da qui se si vuole mangiare una buonissima pizza e pagare poco per la qualità degli ingredienti e dell’impasto
