23/09/2023: Pasamos una velada estupenda en Il Ghiottone. El sitio pequeño con mucho encanto al lado del puerto. El trato muy agradable y la comida simplemente espectacular. Fue un gran descubrimiento. Sin duda repetiríamos.

09/05/2024: A restaurent of poor value for money. The octopus was not fresh, for a price of 24€. And we were regretted to choose a pasta (mussel taste) recommended by the restaurent, which is “oddly” not in the menu, for 28€. It was tasting like a fast food !
=> comments added following the owner’s reply : I add the photocopy of the bill. I wasn’t commenting at the wrong restaurent. Instead of denying and ignoring, better to think about how to improve your integrity, food quality and services.
20/04/2024: Insanely overpriced. 21 euro for couple of pieces of tomato and pasta. The fish dishes were tasty but we were charged 12 euro for coperta (couple of pieces of bread) staff were friendly and kind but would not come back due to value for money

A La Maddalena nessun ristorante in inverno è aperto … bah .. non so come facciano
per fortuna che ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorantino sulla costa
il titolare gentilissimo ci ha trattato super bene facendoci guatare le
prelibatezze della bellissima terra Sarda.

Ristorante Nido d'Aquila

07/10/2023: We were on a day trip to San Maddalena and came across this restaurant by chance. We were personally greeted by the boss, who took care of both the kitchen and the service, which was no problem in the low season.
The food was really good and there was an idea behind every dish. For us, the semifreddo was a little highlight, especially at the end; it really tasted very good. But the fish starter and the fried calamari were also very good.
We felt really comfortable and in terms of hospitality, it was the best restaurant we have experienced.
We would definitely come again.
17/09/2023: In the context of a daily motorcycle tour on the splendid island of La Maddalena, we were intrigued by this restaurant outside the tourist context.
We meet the owner, Giuseppe, a passionate chef who tells us about his life and long-term experiences in the restaurant sector. A particular empathy is immediately born, also due to his extremely kind and humble manner. A rarity.
Food and dishes? From a starred restaurant, a refinement in the search for flavors and in the combination of truly excellent foods. Here you don't eat the banal, but you savor local foods prepared with great passion such as sautéed mussels with myrtle or gnocchi with scorpion fish and almond flour.
What can I say, we will definitely return to say hello to Giuseppe and enjoy his dishes again, but we will stay more than one day.
Thanks Giuseppe, see you next June.

16/08/2023: Esperienza sempre molto positiva, dopo diversi anni, qualità e rapporto qualità/prezzo sempre eccellente!
Paccheri ricotta e spada, spaghettoni allo scoglio eccellenti e ricchi di pesce, per secondo grigliata mista, apparentemente un piatto costoso ma eccezionale, pesce fresco abbondante ben cotto e servito!
Si sente molto il ritorno di Fabio in cucina, frequentiamo da anni i ristoranti della Maddalena ma il top per posizione fronte mare, qualità e aria di casa rimane La Roca.

13/10/2023: We found this restaurant not far from the harbor towards the center. We arrived just before closing time and yet they were kind enough to seat us, prepare a table for us and serve us. There were five of us.
The food was TOP, I have never eaten better grilled octopus 👌👍👌
The other dishes were also very tasty, we were all delighted.
It is definitely a place to visit. Plan your meal time and enjoy the atmosphere of beautiful LaMadalena 🫶
08/10/2023: Saturday 7 October I stop for dinner. I had already had dinner in the past and was quite satisfied overall. Having read the list, of the 6-7 main dishes, 2 are not available. I ask for a seafood parmigiana and a mixed fried dish (as per the list it includes "paranza" i.e. small fish of various types left in the nets and excellent for fried foods and soups). The parmigiana is good and plentiful. The fried food, abundant, does not contain any fish, just a small piece of cod. Pointing out that it is not a mixed fry as requested, I was apologized for and brought a plate with two pieces of fried cod. And the fishing boat?!?! On the bill, not cheap 39 euros (parmesan, fried food and 33ml commercial beer), the fried food remained mixed (it costs more than plain). I hate being made fun of. I will avoid going back. Sin
