28/09/2025: We dined at this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What can I say? The atmosphere is romantic, the setting elegant, the food excellent, and the staff friendly and ready to offer the best possible service. The fish is fresh and uniquely flavorful. I recommend the raw fish appetizer, an explosion of flavors. I highly recommend it!

05/08/2025: The quality of the fish is truly excellent, not to mention the great attention to gluten-free options. The location is a little out of the way, but I highly recommend it. The staff is very helpful and friendly, demonstrating great professionalism and dedication. I definitely recommend it!

04/07/2025: Unforgettable experience at MA.TO – Fish Food Evolution! We started with an amazing tuna tataki: perfectly cooked, intense but balanced flavors, truly an appetizer to remember. The first course — tuna tartare with lime and grated black olives — was a true masterpiece: fresh, original and with a surprising balance of flavors. The service is impeccable: courteous, fast and always attentive staff. The highest quality of products and an excellent quality-price ratio. My sincere compliments to all the staff. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to anyone who loves well-made fish!

09/09/2025: Historic restaurant with super-fresh fish and traditional cuisine at reasonable prices. I don't understand the negative reviews. A lovely atmosphere and efficient staff. I recommend it to lovers of good food. A few words, a lot of dishes.

07/09/2025: We ordered three first courses (two spaghetti with clams and one spaghetti with seafood), a bottle of pecorino wine, one lemon sorbet, chocolate panna cotta, and two Jefferson bitters that never arrived. The portions were good, but the spaghetti with clams didn't have any parsley—perhaps a house custom. The sorbet was too thin, perhaps another house custom. The dining room was scorching hot; the air conditioning was off. When we asked the waitress, "Can I turn on the air conditioning?" she replied, "I don't know if I'm capable of turning it on," so it stayed off and we were scorching hot. The dining room was full of mosquitoes, but they told us they'd offer us lautan, but we politely declined... Total paid 75 euros for three. We won't be returning.

28/08/2025: Unfortunately it looks good but when it comes down to it, we weren't offered a tasting menu, then they bring you appetizers in a way that's not very clear and I'm not even talking about the first courses where first they ask you for a type of pasta, then since they make an industrial quantity for everyone and add fish, it's not good, we are and if you ask after an hour when the second courses arrive, you get the answer that the first courses and the others still have to finish, so in conclusion, we left before getting to the end, it would have been enough to say that they gave us an à la carte menu or even give us verbally options outside of the tasting menu!

25/08/2025: We were on Saturday 23 August, 4 of us plus my dog😁, many types of menus with various combinations at excellent prices 25 euros for a tasting of 3 very original starters, a first course, spaghetti with mussels and clams and finally a metre of fried food, wine, water, coffee and a truly excellent sailor's coffee, what can I say, everything was balanced in the right way, very kind and helpful staff

28/08/2025: I've known this place for a long time...it's a beautiful beach resort. Inside, there's an elegant bar and an equally elegant restaurant...outside, there are sofas and tables for enjoying excellent aperitifs. Excellent service. Under the new management, we only had an aperitif, but we've already planned dinner, after which I'll write a review.

27/08/2025: After seven years, I'm sadly forced to revise this review. The restaurant has significantly lowered its quality. I'll start by saying that I don't eat fish, but it seems truly inconceivable to me that I couldn't get two different dishes out at the same time. Today, my partner and I met here for dinner. My dish arrived 10 minutes after ordering. I waited five minutes for my partner's, but it hadn't arrived yet. I started eating. I finished eating, and my girlfriend's dish still hadn't arrived. About 45 minutes passed between the two dishes. We didn't get to eat together. First, she waited and watched me eat, now I wait and watch her eat.

27/08/2025: Even though I've known this place for a few years and have eaten there both in-house and for takeout—the food was good, no doubt—today I found myself with my partner having an unpleasant lunch. I'll start by saying that the wait for a waitress was long; I had to call her personally to have our drinks brought and our food ordered. A lack of hospitality from the start, but we're off to a good start. My partner ordered a simple dish, cutlet and fries, and I ordered spaghetti allo scoglio. His dish arrived less than 10 minutes later. We were impressed by the speed of service until a good 45 minutes had passed since my order arrived. I noticed that it wasn't just me; the wait at other tables had gotten very long. The unfortunate thing about this terrible service is that, thanks to this wait, I had to watch my partner eat, and vice versa, he had to watch me when my dish arrived. It's not nice not to be able to eat together, but to have to wait for each other's food because "the kitchen wait times are like this." I pointed out to the waitress how much this annoyed me, even though she wasn't responsible, but I politely asked her to report it to the kitchen or whoever was cooking, assuming there were more than two people. Terrible, rude, and intolerable service. It's a real shame to see this place lose quality in service; the food today was good, but the pasta was strangely overcooked. Food and service can't match the quality of their work.

08/08/2025: Every year (for 30 years now), I absolutely can't help but stop by! I've always had a great experience, but I have to say that this year Vincenzo and his team have outdone themselves. What you see in the photo is a simply grilled tuna fillet, and some of you might say, "Well, come on...what's the big deal?" But I disagree. The service begins as soon as you set foot in the chalet, when, very hesitant, you don't know what to order. Vincenzo advises you, pampers you...he makes you feel at home (not something you can take for granted). Shall we talk about the choice of raw materials? Excellent! Shall we talk about the type of cooking required? Perfect. Shall we talk about the presentation of the dishes? (Because, yes, the eye also wants its part) Careful and fun in the combination of colors. My husband and son were invited here (I was invited too, but I couldn't make it 😩) for birthday parties, and they came home beyond thrilled with what they tasted. While they were telling me about all of Vincenzo's delicacies, I thought, "Damn my job! Next time, I'll do anything to be there 😩" Sorry for being so long-winded; I'm off now because I have to choose dessert 🤗🤗 UPDATE: I came back and tried their grilled vegetable skewers... I WANT TO BE ADOPTED BY THEM 😋😋😋😋😋

25/07/2025: 28 (from 26 to 30) I might return when I'm in the area, but I'll also consider other options first. Location 7: Clean, plenty of space between tables. Menu 7: Mainly seafood, but also pizza. The first course is good and the portions are generous. The second course is adequate, but the portions are a bit small. The desserts are very good, especially the cremolada. Service 7: Friendly and not pushy. Bill 7: Overall, reasonable for what we ate.

09/09/2025: Excellent cuisine, abundant and very good dishes, kind and very helpful staff, very good fried food, I recommend it to everyone, and then the view directly on the sea, excellent experience.

12/08/2025: Two of us went to this restaurant. It was the best restaurant we dined at in San Benedetto. We had two appetizers: sea bass with lime and monkfish tripe. A first course: spaghetti with clams. A second course: roast Adriatic fish. A side of grilled vegetables. Two desserts: semifreddo and panna cotta. Water and two glasses of Passerina pasta. We paid €88. Everything was delicious. The appetizers were exquisite and very unique. The spaghetti with clams were the best, among the best I've ever eaten. The spaghetti was al dente, the sauce was well-creamed and truly flavorful. I would have ordered another dish immediately. The grilled fish was also excellent and plentiful. And the homemade desserts are also worth mentioning. This is definitely a place not to be missed. Had we discovered it earlier, we would have returned every night, even if it were far from our hotel. Unfortunately, the only downside was a group of uncontrolled, unruly children running around the restaurant, disrupting the waiters' work and annoying all the customers, while their parents sat quietly chatting at the table, oblivious to anything. Never mind, the problem is never the children, but their rude parents.

08/08/2025: Randomly parked 10 meters from the chalet. We asked if they had room for three...even though everything was booked, they gave us a table (7:50 PM). Octopus and potatoes, spaghetti with clams, mixed fried fish, bottle of passerina, water. Total €66. Excellent service, tonnarelli with clams, TOP quality, you can't find them made this well anywhere else. Highly recommended. The menu has a few dishes, a sign of particular attention to the raw materials. Knowledgeable staff...they informed us that they had tonnarelli instead of spaghetti and informed us about the availability of today's catch. What more could you ask for? Well done guys, keep it up. Coffee on the house...just a small point, the passerina cost €17 (it was listed as €16 on the menu). Coffee not included...but the rating remains the same.

30/09/2025: Superb! The welcome and service were impeccable, the waiters were very honest and sincere in recommending dishes. Everything was fresh. SQUID INK SPAGHETTI is the recommended dish! And the BRODETTO is the BEST! Excellent tiramisu! Delicious dinner with a seafood flavor!
