29/07/2025: We went for dinner for the first time last night for my birthday, very nice atmosphere, decent food but the maître d' doesn't seem capable to me, I asked for a medium/rare steak, I received a steak completely burnt black, let's say that I pointed it out and they brought it back to me cooked as I wanted, but it didn't end there, I had asked for grilled vegetables, they never arrived so I asked what happened to them, the waiter (poor thing he took the blame, but it wasn't his fault, the usual maître d' who I don't know what mess he made). The rest of the group was treated very well, the food was good, the prices are excellent but I can't give a high score, sorry :(

04/07/2025: Everything is good except the cuisine, which tries to imitate the best restaurants: unfortunately, putting small portions on beautiful plates is not enough to create great cuisine. The dishes are generally flavorless.

05/06/2025: Prezzi quasi da ristorante stellato, ma la qualità è ancora lontana da quei livelli. Alcuni piatti sono ottimi (come lo spaghetto alle cozze), altri belli ma poco saporiti (come la triglia di oriente), nessuno geniale o sorprendente. Servizio un po' caotico e macchinoso, formale ma non particolarmente attento a captare le esigenze dei clienti. La cosa più strana è che i camerieri non presentavano i piatti che ci stavano servendo, e quando chiedevamo spiegazioni non sapevano rispondere adeguatamente; quindi non sapevamo cosa stessimo mangiando, anche perché i menù pubblicati sul sito sono completamente diversi da quelli che ci sono stati proposti. Bravo il sommelier, che propone una carta adeguata per varietà, ricerca sul territorio e abbinamenti. Terrazza panoramica, ma con vista sul terminal dei traghetti. Conto finale di 140 euro per chi aveva preso il menù degustazione e sui 75 euro per chi aveva mangiato à la carte, quindi consiglio questa seconda opzione.

17/07/2025: On our 2-week trip to Italy, we find this gem in Ancona. Pure flavors, bordering on naked trust in the ingredients and fantastic service frame the picturesque restaurant in a way that opens both mind and soul. I am very impressed by the service and the simple but fantastically delicious food and will visit Del Pozzo again if I am in Ancona.

16/07/2025: A place that doesn't look impressive from the outside, but once you enter, you fall in love! It was recommended to me, and I couldn't have found a better recommendation. The atmosphere inside is refined. The dishes are simple yet full of knowledge; you get the impression that the person behind the stove is more than just a great chef; they love eating fish. I tried a first course with sardines, pine nuts, raisins, etc., and on the second day, the baked cod. The side dish is always cabbage with anchovies and capers, a discovery that captivated me. There's no shortage of daily specials. The staff is discreet and friendly, and the background music plays pleasantly, accompanied by the calm chatter of the various guests. I always get the house white wine, which is good. In short, if you're passing through Ancona and don't know where to go, come here. I was alone, but if you're with more than one person, I recommend calling to book.

18/07/2025: Me lo ricordavo più suggestivo! Ok, abbiamo prenotato il giorno stesso della cena, non pensavamo di avere il miglior tavolo del ristorante. Ci hanno detto che i tavoli fuori erano tutti occupati e che ci avrebbero fatto accomodare in veranda dove avremmo comunque avuto i lati aperti. Stare all'aperto non era la nostra priorità ,quindi abbiamo confermato la prenotazione, mai avremmo pensato ci avessero assegnato il tavolo che ci hanno dato..... un tavolo all'interno, davanti al carrello del pesce fresco, se allungavo un braccio toccavo la bilancia come se mangiassi in pescheria, e poco distante dal bancone del forno a legna e dalla cucina. Abbiamo sempre visto e sentito il via vai dei camerieri intenti, giustamente, ad andare e venire dalla cucina per servire i tavoli e per consegnare l'asporto delle pizze. Più che una cena al mare abbiamo gustato una cena nelle retrovie rumorose del vero ristorante sul mare. Gli antipasti freddi discreti, cozze buone ma pochine, dolci abbondanti e buoni Evito la zona nei week end per evitare queste sorprese, era un mercoledì , di luglio ok, ma potevano fare di meglio, o dire che erano al completo.

29/06/2025: I have never been there, but I still leave a star for the extreme rudeness and aggressive tone expressed in a post on Facebook in which he was looking for a dishwasher. The lack of empathy and respect towards a potential employee certainly does not have much difficulty in reflecting on the dishes he serves to his customers. Judging by the posts, he also seems to be looking for a new dishwasher twice a month, suggesting a climate of exploitation that I sincerely do not want to fuel.

02/08/2025: I had dinner last night at Ulderico, a very basic place, just like a typical trattoria, but the food was delicious. Exceptional value for money! Excellent service! Friendly and courteous. I had a great time and highly recommend it! Remember to book, it's always full.

28/07/2025: We were here in June. It doesn't look inviting from the outside, but I can assure you the food is divine and the portions are generous. It's frequented by locals, and that says it all. We ate: three-course spaghetti with seafood, three fried dishes, one seafood skewer, one salad, one French fry, two fried cremini, two stuffed olives, one fried vegetable, one mussel, house wine, and water. Everything was delicious, and we spent €133! Highly recommended!

15/07/2025: Really lovely restaurant with friendly staff and tasty food. We stayed in Poggio and went to Mafalda three times, enjoying the lovely atmosphere on the terrace and great food. The menu offers a lot of fish/seafood meals and also few for the meat eaters :-) The seafood apetizer was very good and great to share!
