It's fine that you play on the fact that most people are just passing through, but not everyone is used to eating in the cafeteria; in fact, it's worse.
Never again.
01/04/2026: We were here several times in 2024.
Now we've been back twice in 2025. The staff is very friendly and the food was good. We'll definitely go again if we're ever in the area again.

20/05/2026: The view of Lake Garda is breathtaking. Since we only wanted a cappuccino, we were relegated to the back rows under the waiter's stern gaze, even though there were still seats available at the front. A shame, but okay. I didn't feel welcome at all. It seemed to me that attention was only given to the locals and well-known guests. Not even a smile for us. Passersby had asked about ice cream – apparently, they don't have any; I found that hard to understand.
I then wanted to pay and had to do so inside. Our waiter, who was still taking his time, printed out the receipt for me, and I asked again where I could pay. "Right here," he indicated. Only when I reiterated that I wanted to pay by card did he take out the card reader. Still with a stern expression. Sorry, but that kind of attitude doesn't deserve a tip.
20/05/2026: I have never in my entire life been served so rudely by someone in a restaurant, and by the owner himself, no less. Bread rolls were slammed onto the table with an irritated expression. The order was placed with an irritated face and a hand gesture indicating what we wanted. We asked for Parmesan cheese for the pasta, but when it arrived, a small bowl was conjured up with a tiny leftover in it, which he scraped together and threw onto our pasta. When we asked for more, he spoke irritably to another waiter, and ultimately, no cheese arrived. The entire time, he was irritated and rude, not only to us but also to two other families who were treated exactly the same way. Eventually, we confronted him about it, along with the two other families, and he said in an angry voice, "Yes, yes, fine, pay up and get out," with a hand gesture multiple times, and then threw the receipt on the floor. This was done to the other families as well, including an elderly couple, where the old man had to bend down to pick up his receipt. Regular customers came in in between; you could tell by the way he cheerfully welcomed them, shook their hands, and was talking to them with a cheerful smile—he was a completely different person, unbelievable to see. The waiters and waitresses were also treated rudely by him, and they apologized to us for his behavior; it is terrible that these people have to deal with someone like that every day, and I wish them strength. The view was beautiful, though (photos of the owner are not allowed: small man with a big nose and glasses).

28/10/2025: A restaurant overlooking the Scaligero Castle. We had lunch for four, sharing an appetizer (very good fried gnocco and excellent hand-sliced raw ham) and pizzas. Nothing exceptional, but good and well-cooked. Excellent value, especially considering the central location and the prices of other restaurants.

05/04/2026: The 4.5 rating appears to be from the previous diner.
We visited the restaurant to try the classic dishes on the menu. Lured by the inviting ambiance with its beautiful white tablecloths, we had high expectations. The fact that there were only a few guests at the time initially led us to attribute it to the higher price point – however, in retrospect, this suggests other explanations.
The dishes in retrospect:
• Vitello Tonnato: A very minimalist approach was taken here. The meat was the absolute focus and had a very firm texture. Since the sauce was used very sparingly, the meat's natural flavor remained completely pure and dry.
• Caesar Salad: A dish for those who like it rustic. The meat topping was remarkably firm and offered extreme resistance when chewing – definitely a departure from the usual succulence.
• Spaghetti Carbonara: This variation was very meat-heavy. The sausage component was so dominant that the pasta and the actual sauce were almost completely overshadowed. Unfortunately, the dish lacked any balance from a technical standpoint, as the excessive seasoning completely stifled any hint of Italian lightness. A very unusual experience that, sadly, failed to impress.
In conclusion:
The kitchen here takes a very unique approach to textures, intense seasoning, and the proportions of ingredients. For lovers of classic, succulent Italian cuisine, however, this presents a challenge. We've had the experience once and will leave it at that.
Fortunately, we found a fantastic restaurant just a short distance away in town that completely satisfied our culinary desires – we immediately made a reservation for our second evening there.
18/03/2026: The Risorgimento restaurant in Sirmione no longer exists. It has changed ownership and its name.
Now, that place is a tourist restaurant like so many others.

05/05/2026: Everything was impeccable, the manager was extremely courteous and the quality of the food was excellent, all in a welcoming environment.
03/05/2026: Very nice place.
We definitely had a satisfying lunch...
We ordered first courses, including carbonara, tagliolini with ragù, and ravioli... all very good and plentiful, except for the ravioli, which were a bit small, but good.
Those who didn't order first courses also ordered Fassona beef sandwiches and a smash burger... very good, very good.
The staff were friendly and polite.
As for the price? Let's just say that for the area and the food we ate, which was especially good, we were happy to give it a try.

16/04/2026: The food is very good, with generous portions that are enough to fill you up, so good value for money. They also serve pizza for lunch.
12/04/2026: We came for breakfast. We ordered cream croissants and cappuccinos. Fifteen minutes later, we were told there was only one plain croissant and two bombolone left, even though there were four of us. What they brought us were cappuccinos that turned out to be latte macchiatos! And when we went to complain at the bar, an arrogant old woman remained completely indifferent to our remarks, looking down on us and saying, "If you say so." It was a nice little moment in the morning before leaving this beautiful region and heading home, but it put us in a bad mood and ruined the end of our stay. Where is the Italian hospitality? Where is the impeccable service and the typical products that the Swiss envy and come to Italy to find? While the campsite is fantastic, this bar-restaurant is best forgotten!

18/05/2026: The owner was very rude and insulted me. The cutlets were raw. I paid anyway, but instead of apologizing, she didn't give me a receipt and attacked me because I didn't want the same cutlet again. A terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it. The waiters were very kind.

06/05/2026: Initially a good place and nice atmosphere, then after the food order went down, I ordered a pizza with sausages on top, in my opinion frozen pizza and 4/5 sausages on top, (there was also pizza with pineapple on the menu...) the prices do not reflect reality at all, a classic tourist trap
06/05/2026: the staff is very rude, we were told after we already ate that we connor split the bill, afterwards i was told to shut up!
then suddenly it was possible to split the bill.
all in all - the food was tolerable BUT the service is inacceptable and i will definitely NEVER retour again!!!🤬

27/06/2025: Ormai è tradizione una volta l’anno venire a cena qui e la qualità rimane sempre ottima, sia per quanto riguarda i piatti che per il servizio.
La carbonara di mare è assolutamente da provare!
27/06/2025: Non posso dire nulla sulla qualità del cibo perchéottimo! Arriviamo alle 13.30 (dopo una mattinata all'ospedale civile di brescia) ordiniamo abbondante (di fatti 153 euro spesi) alle 14.20 mentre ancora pranziamo la titolare si avvicina dicendo che alle 14.30 chiudono completamente tutto anche il locale! Praticamente ci caccia! Sbigottiti abbiamo chiesto di portare via tutto nei contenitori! Senza parole...

22/07/2025: Sono stato ospite di questo ristorante su suggerimento di amici. La struttura gode di una posizione privilegiata, situata nel centro storico di Sirmione e affacciata sul suggestivo scenario del lago di Garda, offrendo così un contesto ambientale di grande fascino.
Il servizio si è rivelato nel complesso cortese e sufficientemente attento, seppur privo di elementi distintivi. Per quanto concerne l’offerta gastronomica, essa appare orientata prevalentemente a un target turistico. La mia compagna ha gustato un piatto di chitarrine con gamberi e pistacchio, risultato equilibrato e piacevole. Personalmente ho optato per il primo del giorno a base di cozze e pesto: una proposta non sgradevole, ma priva di particolare carattere, probabilmente penalizzata dall’utilizzo di pasta precotta, elemento comprensibile in contesti ad alto flusso ma comunque poco valorizzante.
La nota più negativa della serata è stata il dessert. Invogliato dall’aspetto dei dolci esposti nel frigorifero, ho ordinato una panna cotta ai frutti di bosco. Purtroppo, quella servita al tavolo non corrispondeva affatto all’aspetto del dolce esposto: era evidentemente non fresca e presentava persino tracce di muffa su uno dei frutti.
Ciò che più mi ha deluso, tuttavia, è stata la mancanza di attenzione nella gestione della segnalazione: né un gesto di cortesia né una semplice scusa da parte del personale. Il dolce è stato semplicemente sostituito con uno più fresco.Un comportamento più premuroso avrebbe senz’altro contribuito a ridimensionare l’accaduto.
A titolo costruttivo, invito la direzione a prestare maggiore cura alla qualità dell’offerta e alla gestione del cliente, affinché l’eccellenza della location sia rispecchiata da un’esperienza all’altezza delle aspettative.
