13/01/2026: Arrived by ferry from Trieste. Great restaurant with really good food. Reservations are essential, otherwise it will be quite difficult.
11/01/2026: We had a wonderful New Year's Eve with an 8-course meal. Very good wine list.

11/10/2025: Recommended trattoria, with tasty and beautifully presented seafood dishes. Friendly owners. We opted for mussels with chili pepper instead of pepper, and instead of the mussels with pepper, we opted for mussels with impeperoncina (a type of mussels with pepper), followed by fish gratin and sardines in saor (sautéed sardines). The house wine by the glass is good, both still and sparkling. Prices are reasonable. Free street parking is available near the restaurant. Worth a stop for some food and wine.

27/12/2025: We love this place, we’ve been two times, both service and food never disappoint. If you’re up for a bit of surprise with the “menu” (daily catch basically) this is your place. All of the fishes come out fresssssshhhh and mouthwatering. Mr Renzo is out favorite choice here and can only recommend!
21/12/2025: Always unique experiences; once or twice a year we go to Renzo and Roberta, departing from Venice.
The two owners are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and kind.
The fish is always fresh, the recipes are mouth-watering, and the atmosphere is perfect for spending a few hours in peace and quiet, with EXCELLENT food.

01/02/2026: If you are in more than 1 person, be prepared not only to wait for 1 hour, but to get the food one by one, so you can either watch others eat while you wait for your meal, or you can eat cold food if you wait for all to get theirs. Oh and there is no menu, they just tell you what they have, so you better have good memory and good knowledge of italian and/or slovenian because not one member of the staff speaks a word of english. The food was mid at best by the way, a bit tasteless, portions small to medium and no side dish, atleast for the 4 things from the vocal menu we ordered. The people from the tables beside us got their 4 course meal before we could get one meal for one person at our table, so keep your hopes up, you could be one of the lucky ones! Enjoy!
01/02/2026: There was no menu on offer. The waiter brought the food after a 1.5 hour wait. The fish was decent at best.

24/02/2026: Our favorite place, we feel at home here.
A welcoming and very well-kept place.
The staff—there's no word to describe it—are attentive to every request, friendly, kind, and above all, always smiling.
The cuisine is special, with fresh seafood, and it shows in every dish the chef prepares.
A wide selection of wines, from local classics to those from beyond the region.
The bar is well-stocked with every spirit.
I recommend going because your taste buds deserve it.
22/02/2026: The atmosphere was lovely, and both terraces overlooked their respective harbors: the local harbor and the industrial port. The food was good (after a 1.5-hour wait, it tasted great!), and the antipasto platter was excellent. I didn't realize that in Italy, one of two glasses of wine could be undrinkable and the next not very good. The service was okay, not impolite, but a bit rough around the edges – perhaps the local culture has rubbed off on them.

10/03/2025: Di ritorno in questo locale dopo alcuni anni mi accorgo che purtroppo la buona impressione ricevuta la primo volta non viene confermata. Si puo' comprendere che due persone ,da sole, tra cucina e "sala" facciano fatica a gestire 5/6 tavoli ma il servizio è lentissimo...se entri con fame rischi di dover chiedere 3 volte il pane prima che arrivi qualcosa in tavola. Abbiamo mangiato un buonissimo primo piatto di gnocchi con gli scampi e due piatti di frittura di calamari molto elastici ...non mi sarei mai aspettato di vedere che gli stessi provengono da una busta del congelatore. Siamo al mare , il periodo è giusto ...se proprio dovete metterli congelati almeno scongelati a dovere e friggeteli come va fatto invece , purtroppo una delusione.
22/12/2024: Luogo perfetto. Ambiente accogliente e retrò, servizio ineccepibile e cibo ottimo. Cozze, pasta al granzoporo,gnocchi agli scampi e tocai. Sorbetto offerto. 56 euro ben spesi. Torneremo!!! Maoooo!

09/06/2025: Als "Wiederholungstäter" wurden wir auch diesmal wieder nicht enttäuscht.
Schöne Terrasse, schönes Lokal, netter und zuvorkommender Service und last but not least viel Gutes aus dem Meer und aus dem Keller.
Wenn man in der Umgebung ist, unbedingt ausprobieren.
Die Preise sind übrigens der Qualität entsprechend.
05/06/2025: Könnte man mehr Punkte vergeben das Castello hat es mehr als verdient.
Wir waren eine Gruppe von sieben Personen
Und alle Speisen die serviert wurden waren einfach fantastisch . Das Thunfisch Tatar einfach lecker . Aber auch die Hauptspeisen einfach ein Traum .Mir viel die Auswahl richtig schwer,weil alle Gerichte auf der Karte sehr verlockend klingen . Empfehlen kann man auf jeden Fall das Risotto mit Meeresfrüchten ,aber auch das Rinderfilet war ein Gedicht . Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nächstes Jahr wieder wenn wir in Muggia sind .
