The restaurant has remained true to itself over the years, with the same furnishings, and walking through the door conveys a pleasant, slightly retro feel. Retro here is meant in the most positive sense: spaces that tell a story, meticulously crafted, immaculately clean, and with nothing left to chance. The owners—restaurateurs with a capital "R"—each perform their duties with impeccable professionalism, just like the wait staff, who are always top-notch. There's nothing to complain about regarding the cuisine: this isn't the typical restaurant where beauty is the order of the day, perhaps even sacrificing substance. Here, quality is the key. I ate divinely: the freshest fish, expertly prepared, and simple yet perfect desserts. My well-known obsession with zuppa inglese leads me to try them all: well, this is definitely among the best I've ever had. A special mention goes to the grilled dishes: those familiar with the place know it's their true "load of 11." The extensive and varied wine list is presented with impeccable expertise by Giuliano Poli. We all tend to feel like experts with a wine list in hand (and sometimes we really are), but here you can confidently trust his recommendations: satisfaction is guaranteed.
