10/07/2025: Tiny portions, an exorbitant bill... and the icing on the cake: they charged me for the olive oil "tasting." Just a few drops, as if it were French perfume.
10/07/2025: An experience to forget.
We went to this restaurant with high expectations, but we left hungry and in disbelief. The portions were ridiculously small, so much so that it felt more like a forced tasting than a proper meal.
The climax came when, after asking for a little olive oil to accompany the bread, we found that oil was added to our bill... as if we'd asked for a tasting of fine oils, without being informed or even interested. Absurd.
A small but significant gesture: instead of offering a drizzle of oil as is done in any trattoria with a modicum of hospitality, they decided to charge for it.
A shame, because it would have taken so little to make the experience more enjoyable. Instead, we felt cheated. We won't be returning, and we won't recommend it.

24/05/2025: Abbiamo mangiato all'aperto, angolino delizioso e piatti tipici, tutto molto buono. Servizio impeccabile e silenzioso, peccato...credevo ci fosse più vista da seduti...ma basta affacciarsi che la splendida Matera appare in tutta la sua bellezza.

01/05/2025: Dopo vari giri a vuoto nei locali di "ultima generazione" di Matera , ci siamo per caso e per fortuna imbattuti in questo ristorante "non improvvisato"....il titolare Mario ci ha accolto da vero padrone di casa, con gentilezza cordialità e simpatia....consigliandoci benissimo secondo le nostre esigenze....Abbiamo mangiato un super antipasto con prodotti tipici lucani di ottima qualità, tra cui un meravigliiso piatto di cruschi... Orecchiette alle cime di rapa altrettanto eccezionali...fino ad un ottimo dolce .vaniglia pan di Spagna e cioccolato fondente..Tutto davvero buonissimo... I camerieri attenti e gentili, locale accogliente e delizioso. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole mangiare bene nel segno della vera tradizione e a prezzi più che onesti. Grazie di tutto signor Mario, a presto. Da Catania con vera stima e simpatia .Piero e Lucia.

23/06/2025: Poor quality of poke, tempura shrimps without any flavor and rubbery, not to mention the salmon definitely frozen. The worst poke of my life!!

15/07/2025: Terrible experience. We were lured by a man pretending to be a guide and directed to this restaurant because it was said to be cheaper and had better food. After looking at the menu, we asked if the pizzas were gourmet (the only plausible explanation for the price). We were told yes, and decided to stay.
The pizzas were barely adequate, not gourmet, and the staff barely spoke Italian. AVOID ABSOLUTELY.
14/07/2025: Incredible view and very good service. The food could be better, but it's good.
The pizzas are good.

08/12/2024: Ci siamo fermati per una sosta durante il tragitto verso Matera. Qui abbiamo trovato ospitalità, un ottimo ginseng, un bel punto ristoro fornito di tutto il necessario, e personale sorridente e accogliente.
23/10/2024: Ci siamo fermati qui per un veloce pasto perché le recensioni sono ottime ma in realtà ne siamo usciti abbastanza delusi. Abbiamo ordinato una pasta e ceci e una parmigiana. La parmigiano era discreta ma un po' congelata al centro, la pasta e ceci assolutamente insipida e insignificante. Considerando che siamo nella zona dove i legumi li sappiamo cucinare bene lo trovo inaccettabile. Nulla da ridire su accoglienza, cortesia e servizio
