05/01/2025: In my opinion the best restaurant on the Trabocchi coast. I often choose it for important occasions and it is always a confirmation. Professionalism and kindness of the owners and accuracy in the choice and research of the raw material. Each of their proposals is a pleasant discovery. The photos I will publish concern a cod themed evening from a few weeks ago.

10/12/2024: I don't know if we were unlucky, but in this very beautiful overflow the food is very bad for what we spent (62 euros each). Bland, anonymous dishes perhaps an attempt at novelle cousine? Fixed menu, very small portions, sufficient service. To conclude, the chef came into the room and didn't greet anyone except a couple of her acquaintances. I would say rude!

10/11/2024: Unfortunately, after this experience, I can say that I have definitively put an end to what for years was a fixed appointment for me at Cavalluccio. Every summer it was a tradition to go and eat there, but this year, due to what happened, I won't be going back again.
Last August, I went to lunch with my few month old baby. Once seated at the table, we ordered a fish first course. While I had my son in my arms, the dish, very hot, arrived and he, for a moment, put his hand inside, burning his finger. In a panic, I jumped up to protect him, and in the process the plate fell to the floor. I immediately took my son to the bathroom, who was crying desperately from fear.
Upon my return to the table, I expected to find a more attentive situation and at least an apology or intervention from the staff. Instead, I found nothing. No one approached me to ask if anything had happened or to offer to fix the situation. When the waiters came to collect the dishes, they did so without even cleaning or making the slightest gesture of attention, as if nothing had happened.
I was really disappointed by the behavior of the staff and, unfortunately, this experience has convinced me that I will never return. It's a real shame, because for many years it was a place I loved, but this time it was too much.

01/09/2024: Finalmente abbiamo pranzato bene con prodotti freschi e ben cotti della tradizione marinara abruzzese. In apertura un antipasto di cozze, un primo di sagnette (pasta abruzzese senza uova) in guazzetto di pesce servita con scampetto e cannocchia, per secondo una spigola con patate, e poi un bis di dolci. Il dolce "bocconotto" è conosciuto localmente come “castellino”, è un dolce tipico di Castel Frentano con saporito ripieno dal sapore di cioccolata-marmellata, abbiamo chiuso con un caffè. Il pranzo si è svolto in esterno (un caldo esagerato purtroppo), nel loro giardino ho visto la pianta di Cetrangolo (agrume abruzzese). Mi è piaciuto e lo consiglierei, suggerisco la velocizzazione nel servizio, un pò troppo lento e magari coadiuvarsi di ventilatore esterno perchè grondavamo di sudore (anche la plastica delle sedie ha peggiorato la situazione).

24/10/2024: Saputo dell’apertura di questo nuovo locale, da alcuni amici, abbiamo subito voluto provare la cucina. Devo dire che la freschezza del pesce e la genuinità delle materie prime, si assapora dal primo morso. Vivamente consiglio
29/09/2024: Esperienza pessima eccetto per il panorama. Materia prima non di qualità. Antipasti caldi inqualificabili e antipasti freddi, appena tirati fuori dal frigo, senza sapore. Buona la Frittura del pesce nella frittura mista, il resto troppo cotto. Non lo consiglierei e non ci tornerò.

02/01/2025: One of the historic restaurants on the Trabocchi coast specializing above all in brodetto which is really very good.
The quality of the fish is excellent, the menu has a fair range of dishes and is cooked very well.
Also on the choice of wines, many from the area and for all budgets.
Young staff but with a good margin for improvement.
I definitely recommend it.

Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio

10/11/2024: Unieke ervaring om te lunchen op een trabocco, voormalige visinstallatie boven de zee. In veruit de meeste zit tegenwoordig een restaurant, maar deze is niet alleen prachtig gelegen (geen doorgaande weg of fietspad te zien), maar ook het eten is hier bijzonder goed. Het vaste lunchmenu bestaat al allerlei vis, schaal- en schelpdieren en wordt in een prettig tempo geserveerd. Reken op minstens 3 uur voor de lunch. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk. Reserveren noodzakelijk. Toiletten op het vasteland zijn bereikbaar via de loopbrug. Er is een prive parkeerplaats bij het restaurant. Er is ook een pittoresk klein strandje direct voor de trabocco.
28/10/2024: Tuvimos una excelente comida a la hora del almuerzo en Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio un sábado a finales de septiembre. La ubicación, el ambiente, la calidad de la comida y el servicio fueron un punto culminante de nuestras vacaciones italianas.
Tuvimos algunos retrasos de tráfico en nuestro viaje y llegamos tarde para nuestra reserva. Sin embargo, nos sentamos rápida y amablemente en una mesa que miraba a la orilla y el océano.
La comida que llegó durante las siguientes dos horas era fresca, perfectamente cocinada, maravillosamente sabrosa, y extraordinaria en su cantidad. En total teníamos 13 mariscos diferentes, servidos tanto de manera tradicional como no tradicional. Me encanta el vongole italiano. Los que llegaron fueron de los mejores que he tenido - extremadamente pequeño y dulce. Las otras porciones fueron igualmente buenas.
Apreciamos que éramos los únicos estadounidenses allí ese día. Dos grandes familias italianas estaban celebrando cumpleaños - prestando a un ambiente verdaderamente alegre. . Fue ruidoso, estridente en el buen sentido y tremendamente divertido.
Cuando llegó nuestra factura le señalé a nuestro servidor que pensé que se había olvidado de incluir nuestras copas de vino en la factura. ¡Indicó que estaban incluidos en el precio de la comida! Tuvimos varias comidas mientras estábamos en Italia que eran cerca de $ 200 euros por persona. Ninguno era tan bueno como este y para 60 euros por persona esto era una ganga extraordinaria.
La experiencia de Trabocco es imperdible y nuestra visita a Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio no será olvidada.

27/08/2023: Eravamo in quattro, con due bambini. L'ambiente è molto familiare, ma con suggestiva vista sui trabocchi. Servizio gentile e rapido, cortesia da parte dei ragazzi della sala. Cibo buono, porzioni giuste e prezzo onesto. Da consigliare!!!!

Piatti di pesce concepiti senza senso e insapori.
Anche la quantità era poca. Speso 25 euro a testa. Rapporto qualità prezzo negativo. Sconsigliamo.

27/10/2024: Il ristorante è molto accogliente, pulito come pochi . Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto a base di pesce , sapori che avevo dimenticato. Il pomodoro che non copriva i sapori ma li esaltava , la cottura del baccalà perfetta , una vera esperienza per il palato . Vivo a Roma e ogni volta che tornerò a marina di Ragusa tornerò in questo luogo così accogliente. Ringrazio la mia amica Lia di avermelo fatto conoscere .
