01/03/2026: The evening had been pleasant, and the food seemed good, albeit expensive (€40 per person), but the next day, out of six people, four had intestinal problems. And from what I've been told, it's not the first time this has happened to customers at this restaurant.

18/03/2026: Mexican restaurant in the center of Piacenza. The wait staff is friendly, and the food is good, but a bit pricey for small portions.
The cheese-stuffed jalapeño croquettes, for example, cost €7.50 and come in only four small pieces.
The margarita definitely doesn't measure up to the Margherita I've had at other places.

04/04/2026: Terrible experience! They sat us at a table at the entrance where there were no customers, and half an hour later the order taker arrived and started taking orders from the newcomers! We asked why he didn't come to us right away, and he arrogantly told us we had to wait while he did what he wanted. We got up and went somewhere else to eat...never again!
03/04/2026: Every now and then we come here and try to give it another chance, but to no avail: terrible service, endless waits to be escorted to the table, to have our order taken, and to be served. With perpetually angry faces. Once we pointed it out at the cashier and were told, "They know about it and there aren't many people; the owners are aware of it and do nothing." Need we say more? Bah.

the tortillas are really good, the meat is wonderful. and you should definitely try the Sangria and Tequila.
31/03/2026: We were greeted by the person who I believe is the owner. He immediately asked if anyone at our table had food intolerances, was vegetarian, or didn't particularly like spicy food (all of which were present), and was able to recommend the best dishes for us to order.
Everything was very good, excellent ingredients.
Good value for money.
We'll definitely be back.

23/04/2026: I booked a table for a bachelorette party. They contacted me again to ask if I was interested in the concert, and when I said no, they said they'd put us in the smaller room. We were under the stage. We found out on site that the menu for the evening was limited, no big deal, and that the concert service cost €5 per person. We asked if the chicken wings were spicy, and they said no, but surprise, they were, and we weren't able to finish them. It was my friend's party, and we had other setbacks during the evening, so I didn't want to make a fuss at the venue. The next day, however, I texted the number that had contacted me, saying it would be more appropriate to let them know about the €5 charge, especially since it was clear we weren't interested in the concert, and the response was "🤦"

15/02/2026: Quaint, homely restaurant run by a lovely, authentic couple who exude their warmth and passion for cooking through both their incredible service and sensational food. This place is usually quiet when I’ve been and that makes it feel like a hidden gem! Would highly recommend everyone to check Sombrero out :)

Wide selection of cocktails and spirits to choose from, but the non-alcoholic menu is a bit limited (two cocktails and a few 0.0 beers).

Prices are a bit high for the quantity and type of food.
01/05/2026: Not even a hint of the restaurant I used to be. I hadn't been back for about a year... but it was a total disappointment. The service was poor to say the least, the hot dishes arrived 10 minutes before the drinks, and some orders didn't even arrive... The quality and portions of the dishes don't justify the prices. I won't be returning.
