08/11/2025: Last week I was in Padua for work and, while looking for a restaurant to have dinner with colleagues, I stumbled upon Ristorante Zafferano. What a stroke of luck! For seafood lovers, it's a must-try: excellent quality ingredients and incredibly fresh fish. The raw seafood is pure poetry. Absolutely excellent value. Friendly, attentive, and always available service. I can't wait to go back!

29/11/2025: Just a minute's walk from Santo, this blissful oasis awaits. Greeted by the smiles and friendliness of the staff, we spent a truly enchanting Saturday lunch. The atmosphere is charming and refined, and the menu ranges from pizza and fried foods to first courses, second courses, and desserts, with some very inviting options. After a delicious fried dish, we opted for spaghetti with clams, broccoli, zucchini flowers, and an excellent pizza. I can't wait to return!

08/12/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance on our way back to the hotel and managed to get a table without a reservation. The service team was exceptionally friendly and competent. The food was outstanding, and our meal was excellent. By the way, we've never eaten such light and airy gnocchi anywhere else. A must-visit for us on our next trip to Padua.

It's a place where tradition meets excellence in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. ​The appetizer was a triumph of flavors: the pumpkin tart with cheese fondue was pure poetry. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of sweetness, enhanced by the enveloping creaminess of the fondue. A simply exquisite start. ​We paired everything with two excellent glasses of wine, a red and a white, which perfectly complemented each course, demonstrating a carefully curated and quality selection. ​Continuing, we enjoyed the Angus and venison carpaccio, a bold choice that demonstrated the mastery of the kitchen. The meat, incredibly tender and of the highest quality, melted in the mouth, offering a balance of gamey and refined flavors. The highlight of the dinner was undoubtedly the iconic Florentine steak. Perfectly cooked rare, with a flavorful crust and a juicy center, it confirms the exceptional quality of the ingredients. Served with freshly cooked vegetables and golden baked potatoes, every bite was a true pleasure. In short, "La Locanda Antico Tram" offers more than just dishes, it offers true culinary experiences. 02/11/2025: I wasn't entirely satisfied with this medieval-style pizzeria. The first thing that bothered me was the music: heavy metal, totally out of place for a place like this. And when the music wasn't playing, radio commercials would come on. A serious restaurant, if it wants to create atmosphere, doesn't simply tune in to any radio station—and above all, it doesn't play commercials to customers who pay to enjoy a pleasant experience. The second thing I didn't like was the owners' attitude. Outside, there's a sign warning that separate receipts are not issued. I can understand that; in a city of students, it can be complicated. But finding the same phrase on the first page of the menu changes everything: from a simple request, it becomes a hostile attitude toward the customer. Browsing the menu, the situation gets worse: it's written in large letters that "additions and modifications to pizzas are charged from €1 to €3"—nothing wrong with that—but immediately afterward, the phrase "please keep extra requests to a minimum" appears, clearly making it clear that the customer isn't the focus. In fact, it almost seems like they're bothering you. It doesn't matter that the table service was courteous and the pizza was actually good: with a premise like that, you're already off on the wrong foot. And the heavy metal music, in a medieval-style restaurant, was truly the straw that broke the camel's back: either turn it off completely, or at least choose something consistent with the ambiance.

16/11/2025: Excellent drinks, delicious cicchetti, and unbeatable prices! It's a shame the place is a bit small, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff makes up for it.

25/07/2025: I stayed at this hotel last year, and since I closed my TripAdvisor account, I'm sharing my experience here. The room I stayed in felt like a hospital clinic; all rooms should meet minimum standards, even if they're standard rooms. When I had a massage, I could hear the entire conversation of the client in the booth next to mine, and even the cell phone in the other room could be heard in my room. The breakfast was very good. The reception staff were very arrogant. I didn't like the common areas; they were also open to outsiders, making it more crowded. Highly discouraged. The quality-price ratio is nonexistent. In my opinion, this is absolutely not a hotel that reflects the quality it offers.

08/11/2025: I'll start by saying I come here quite often for both breakfast and dinner. And 3⭐️ is for breakfast! The line is endless, and so far no problem. It's known and we wait. Then she arrives. She skips everyone and says, "We sat over there and I'd like..." and lists the things to order. No one said, "Ma'am, first you order and pay (like everyone else does), then you sit!" That's because that way they can go around the tables and the poor souls who order have to sit down! But it doesn't end there! The two of them, the Misses, arrive, sit down, obviously without ordering, go to the cashier, see the line, and stop a waitress to place their order. She nicely brings them what they'd asked for. Double standards, in short. Personally, I think the place is good, the staff is kind, but this needs fixing. It's simply a matter of honesty, of people who do things well and respect others!

30/10/2025: I have some experience with the restaurants run by the Alajmo brothers today, and their father before, and what always makes the difference in places like this is the staff and the customer service, as well as, of course, the quality of the food. What I've always liked about their cuisine is that it's always simple, yet never banal or predictable. The onion soup with white truffle and the pumpkin risotto with Castelmagno cheese were excellent. The sore point this time was the service, alas. For a dinner of two glasses of Chianti, an appetizer, and two main courses, the bill came to €195. At first, it seemed strange, but since I was with my partner, I didn't want to discuss the bill in front of her. Two days later, thinking about it, it seemed truly outrageous, and indeed, instead of two glasses of Chianti for €9 each, I found a bottle on my receipt for €98. I called, and they actually confirmed there had been a mistake on their part, and they apologized and said they'd wire me the difference. I would have expected a breakfast invitation as an apology instead of a simple email, but that's fine. The important thing is to always check, even in places like this.

08/12/2025: We've made it our annual meeting place, every November, for over 10 years now, where all of us friends and colleagues can get together! This is the first time I've reviewed it, because it's truly my duty! I give everything 5 stars because the food is delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere, even the outdoor area, has few, if any, rivals in the area!

01/11/2025: I went to this pizzeria with my friends. We ordered four different pizzas, sharing them. All were delicious and tasty, with easy-to-digest dough. The desserts were top-notch, delicious, and made to order. Excellent value for money.
