We visited Ai Porteghi Bistrot when we were in Padua two years ago. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to eat there when we visited again.
There were two tasting menus (Garden and Sea) plus à la carte. We chose the Sea Tasting menu. Each of the five courses was creative, delicious and beautifully presented. I also chose the wine pairings (three wines).
At the end of our wonderful meal we got to meet the chef, Matteo Merrazo.

A very refined and elegant venue without being pretentious.
Impeccable, attentive, and friendly service.
Lunch offerings with extraordinary value.
From the appetizer with a soft-boiled egg, to the first courses, the tasty cockerel with delicious crispy potatoes, warm homemade bread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, to the desserts like tiramisu and chocolate salami, both delicious.
The wine list is extensive and well-chosen.
When we pass through Padua, it's a must-see!

I often return to this restaurant; I consider it one of the best in Padua.
I recommend the tasting menu with wine pairings.
The location overlooks a very quiet street, and the restaurant is well-kept and authentic.
Impeccable service, with a level of customer service that many other restaurants in the city lack (a bag holder for ladies, and they take care of coats, which is not a given given the average service in the city). They also ask about any food preferences or allergies.
The à la carte menu offers a good selection; I recommend the tastings.
Excellent service.
I recommend it for a small dinner of 2-4 people.
We'll definitely return several times a year!

Very nice, intimate place, dishes that aren't great but are delicious, the spaghetti with Mazzarra shrimp are super delicious. The main course is excellent duck breast and the dessert is spectacular. Highly recommended. The price is super fair. SUPER!!!

I went to this restaurant for dinner; the interior is very elegant and refined. I tried the "Il Giardino" tasting menu, costing €65 and consisting of an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and a dessert. The dishes were all excellent and with very unique pairings. The service was very fast, and both waiters were attentive and courteous. Overall, a highly recommended place, especially for romantic dates.

Excellent welcome and service.

Dishes with personality that reflect the chef's originality. Portions are just right.
