11/10/2024: Sono stata in questo splendido locale per un matrimonio. Location splendida, servizio eccellente. Unica pecca: il mio menù vegetariano. Pietanze belle solo nell'aspetto ma veramente scarse nel gusto. Ormai anche guardardo qualche reel su instgram è possibile trovare delle ricette gustose senza carne o pesce. Un peccato davvero. I dolci buonissimi e anche i menù di pesce e di carne sembravano ottimi (confermato anche dagli altri ospiti). Consiglio sinceramente di arricchire la conoscenza di ricette vegetariane e vegane, capiscono che non è probabilmente il vostro target di riferimento ma un locale d'eccellenza come questo dovrebbe almeno avere delle alternative vegetali buone, non superlative ma buone. Per il resto tutto super, davvero.

02/09/2024: This hotel is located in the village of Scopello, offering an excellent location if you want to reach bars, restaurants, and even the Tonnara on foot. If you book a room with a sea view, you will be amazed—this is the most beautiful view I've ever seen from a hotel. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. There are several issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The building is old and desperately needs renovation. In our room, the beds and wardrobes were made of old wood, seemingly from the 1960s. Closing the windows and doors was a challenge because the fixtures were worn out and difficult to manage. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was quite dirty, which is a health concern. The hairdryer in the bathroom was unreliable, working intermittently, which was another disappointment. When visiting Sicily, you expect a wide variety of fresh, local food, but unfortunately, the breakfast (8 euros) did not meet these expectations. The selection was limited to some fruit, store-bought yogurt, a few cakes and croissants. The only highlight was a homemade (I assume) yogurt cake. The service at the hotel left much to be desired. One notable incident occurred when my mother requested an extra bedsheet so we could sleep separately in the two beds provided. The receptionist was visibly unhappy about this request and simply left the sheet on the bed, forcing my mother to make it herself despite being a paying guest. On the second day, we requested a functioning hairdryer as the one in our room was faulty. Instead of apologizing, the same receptionist responded curtly, stating it was the first time someone had complained about it. Eventually, he gave us another hairdryer, although it was also in poor condition. Lastly, during breakfast, an international couple politely asked for scrambled eggs, a common and simple request in hotels worldwide. The staff member informed them that they couldn't prepare scrambled eggs and offered only boiled eggs. This experience was partly disappointing, especially because I am Italian and half Sicilian, so I have some understanding of Sicily’s landscape and culture. It is unfortunate that such a beautiful region does not consistently offer tourists the quality facilities and services they deserve. Too often, it feels like locals expect you to be grateful just for the opportunity to stay in their beautiful region and you have “to make do with what you have”. My advice, especially to international tourists, is to look for better alternatives where you will be welcomed and have all your needs met. Here, you won’t find that experience. Paying €75 per person per night is not worth it, considering all these issues.

20/10/2024: Generous portions for a meal that remains correct but nothing more. Everything was very salty including the pizza and pasta. Honest prices for the place.

20/10/2024: The first disappointment was that we arrived just after 19:00 and they sent us away, that 5 more minutes... we came back in 10 minutes. While we ordered, we waited about 20 minutes, while there were three tables occupied and 6 waiters. We ordered lasagna and pizza. The pizza arrived almost immediately. The pizza was good. The lasagna came later.. and a big disappointment. Nothing but spices could be smelled. When paying, we found out that they give tips for service of €3/person. We usually give tips always 10%.. but this time the service gave 0 points, so we were surprised.. Unfortunately, the expectations were high, but the disappointment came.

16/08/2024: Nice place located in a splendid strategic position; a few minutes from Selinunte and other places of interest, convenient for couples or families. Surrounded by greenery, with swimming pool and everything you need to spend days full of relaxation. What makes the difference is the people who manage it, you feel at home from the first moment. Excellent cuisine with very fresh local products, carefully selected day by day. A special thank you to Amir who was essential and gave us special treatment for the entire duration of our stay, sharing with us precious information about the area or places to visit ♥️ We will definitely be back! 01/08/2024: Il servizio è eccellente! I camerieri sono attenti a tutto. La cena è buona, e l’atmosfera bella, specialmente la caponata il tonno al pistacchio e pesce spada sono buonissimi. La porzione di cozze impepate è grande e buonissimo. L’unica cosa che non va è la caprese…. Dei pomodori troppi verdi e senza sapore.

31/07/2024: Dopo una mattinata trascorsa a scoprire Favignana sotto il sole cocente, io e mia moglie decidiamo di fermarci per pranzo in questa osteria, che devo dire si è rivelata un'ottima scelta dove abbiamo mangiato delle ottime busiate allo stufato di tonno rosso (leggermente salate), ed un fritto di calamari, servizio celere e super disponibilità delle cameriere, quindi consiglio questa osteria se andate a Favignana

18/10/2024: Primo giorno in Sicilia. Una calda giornata di autunno. Locale sul lungomare con una bellissima vista. Deliziose le pietanze arrivate al nostro tavolo. Servizio rapido e cortese. Il conto però decisamente troppo alto. Non credo che tornerò. Peccato.

03/10/2024: Wir haben wieder vorzüglich in diesem Restaurant zu Abendessen. Wir waren in unserem Aufenthalt in San vito schon des öfteren. Der Fisch war super lecker. Die Nudeln auf den Punkt und geschmacklich ein Traum. Wir kommen wieder

06/08/2024: We always park there when we are in San vito lo capo and take 2 loungers + 1 parasol. The food there and especially the staff, top... I can only recommend Peppi's Center...

05/08/2024: Poorly maintained place, mediocre food, but above all rude and unprofessional staff, who do not know the basics of hospitality in catering. The bread, which is part of the cover charge, is not served, you have to request it at least four times, but they make you wait at least 20 minutes to serve it at the table, ignoring you anyway, and if you dare to request it they attack you. Bad experience, not recommended.

01/10/2024: Il locale è carino. Io ho preso un cous cous e mio marito una frittura, le porzioni davvero misere per il prezzo, 16€ per la frittura con 2 gamberi e una ventina di calamari, questo è un antipasto non un secondo come dicono dal menù. Manco fosse stellato! Il cous cous molto speziato e con 4 pezzi di pesce. Insomma, secondo me per essere in Sicilia, dove ho mangiato più abbondante a buon prezzo questo è l’eccesso dall’altra parte. 05/10/2024: Negative! We booked a pizza tour well in advance, for a group of 50 people they brought perhaps 20 burnt pizzas with the poorest flavors: margherita, marinara and Neapolitan. Only coca cola included in the price, the request for a can of orangeade was charged separately, as were two pan pizzas for lactose intolerants!!! Electric, hasty and sulky staff. Our complaints were dismissed with aggressive, uncaring and smug attitudes. Place to avoid!!!

15/12/2024: Tradition, hospitality and authenticity: the excellence of "U Pittusu" *** Last night I lived an unforgettable experience together with Ale, Miriana, Clara, Antonino, Veronica and Vincenzo at "U Pittusu", a traditional Sicilian restaurant recommended by our dear friends Fedela and Mario. A place that knows how to combine the truth of Sicilian cuisine with a warm and sincere welcome. The environment, heated by the live fire of a wood-burning fireplace, welcomed us in a family atmosphere, where each dish tells an authentic story. The Fixed Menu of December 14th, Saturday, which surprised and delighted us: - Bruschetta and aperitif - Tasting of Rianata and mushrooms. Abundant and flavorful starters: - Parmesan - Broad beans with mint - Roasted peppers (“ammunniscati”) - Tripe - Meatloaf with sauce - Accupatello broccoli - Omelettes - Dried tomato. Extraordinary first courses: - Meat ravioli with bacon and pistachio, served with pistachio cream and chopped pistachios - Fettuccine with mixed mushrooms, fennel and bacon. Traditional second courses: - Hare with mushrooms and capers - Rabbit with cherry tomatoes and olives - sliced ​​beef. Authentic desserts that end on a high note: - Crumbled quinces - Cassatelle with sheep's ricotta. All accompanied by wine, water and coffee served with generosity and care. "U Pittusu" is easily accessible, located in Via Vincenzo Fazio, 48, 91016 Ballata TP. The Fulgatore motorway exit leads comfortably to this jewel of Sicilian gastronomy, with a perfectly asphalted road and ample parking. 17/11/2024: Returned this evening with friends after years of not going to this pizzeria. I have to say that everything went very well. The pizza was very good. The service, despite it being Saturday, was really good. The staff is friendly and professional, in short there really is nothing to say. My most sincere compliments, I will definitely return!

17/08/2024: Un ristorante in collina con una terrazza panoramica accogliente. Abbiamo prenotato la prima serata prima di partire, perchè ristorante segnalato da vari siti. Le nostre aspettative sono state più che esaudite, tanto che abbiamo voluto tornare anche un'altra sera: il menù è talmente sfizioso che avevamo voglia di provare altre pietanze. Propone cucina tradizionale trapanese, non solo eseguita a regola d'arte ma curata nei dettagli e nei prodotti! Impossibile non assaggiare le caponate, ce ne sono diverse .... sono buonissime e rimangono croccanti ... una sinfonia! I primi sono favolosi, della tradizione trapanese.... che favola! purtroppo non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare le arancine: le porzioni generose non hanno lasciato spazio... la carta dei vini è ricca sia di produttori locali, sia di vini italiani ed esteri. Noi siamo rimasti sul territorio, assaggiando due etichette locali che ci hanno soddisfatto. Il Personale è gentile, sorridente, ti mette a tuo agio: ci siamo sentiti davvero accolti. Le Lumie merita una cena (o anche più di una!) Noi siamo arrivati abbastanza tardi, dopo le 21.30, ma se si riesce ad arrivare prima si può godere il meraviglioso tramonto dalla terrazza.

28/07/2024: Cena squisita, prodotti di qualità e km 0 , pesce freschissimo, cosa chiedere di più ?! Consiglio di provare un bel crudo di gambero rosso e il cous cous di pesce ( peculiarità dello chef). Tutto buonissimo dall’antipasto al dolce( consiglio il panettone estivo) . Da non perdere !!
