14/05/2025: SiciliArteGusto is a true hidden gem in Sicily. The food is absolutely delicious – especially the saffron cheese with pepper, which was a standout. Giuseppe and his father are incredibly warm-hearted and welcoming. They treat you like family and make sure every detail is just right. The portions are very generous, so come with an appetite! Everything they serve is full of flavor and clearly made with love and local passion. And the wine? Fabulous. A perfect pairing for the incredible food. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Sicilian hospitality and cuisine at its best.

11/05/2025: Exquisite tasting cuisine based on Sicilian products: ricotta, cold meats, olives, pizzetta, vegetables in olive oil...Biscuit to dip in a sweet wine and Cannolo to finish with a coffee: sublime. Tasty Nero d'Avola and Etna rosso among a collection of high-end bottles. Typical and refined decor to match. All for an unbeatable price. Recommended! Complimenti!

Excellent food as well as the welcome and service. Highly recommended. They also organize cooking classes especially for foreigners

27/05/2025: Small restaurant above a pastry shop. Don't be surprised – to get into the restaurant, you have to go inside the shop and up the stairs at the back. Very good service with great food. Apart from us, there were only locals there. The portion of pasta was more than sufficient and reasonably priced.

The "cover" at the cost of 2 euros is absolutely worth the price because the tables are set very well (and not like those places where for the same price they put tablecloth and paper napkins). The best I tried in the area!!!

02/05/2025: We had lunch on May 1st 2025. A wonderful discovery, a small but welcoming place, it feels like being at home. The owner is very kind and always ready to please the customer. Quality raw materials, prepared properly. We hope to return soon

29/04/2025: Homemade starter for two, very good and varied. House white wine with a good quality/price ratio. The portions of the first courses were enormous, they must have been at least 250 grams each. One with sausage and fennel, very tasty, the other with black pig ragout, good. If I can leave one piece of advice, a little less pasta, and a few pieces of meat on the plate, it was practically all tomato, but overall good service and good food, I would go back.

22/10/2024: We went because the reviews were quite good. The food is OK, but nothing more than basic home cooking. We paid €10 for vegetables and we got a plate of watery and overcooked cavalo nero. Unless you are too tired to walk further into town I would skip this restaurant

23/05/2025: Awful attitude by head waiter. He forced ZBruschetta on us though we had no intention of ordering it. He derided us for eating the bread rolls when these were served in the table. Our main dishes did not come out together, but over a period of 15 minutes. Some of my party had nearly finished before I got my plate !

22/05/2025: Unacceptable Treatment at Da Carlo — A Humiliating Experience I rarely write reviews, but what happened at Da Carlo left me no choice. We arrived as a group of 11 and were seated promptly. We received the menus and asked for some water. Shortly after, we were offered bruschetta. We politely declined, wanting to look through the menu first. A second waiter came to offer it again, and we declined once more. Then what appeared to be the manager or owner approached us. For the third time, he insisted on the bruschetta. When we declined yet again, he turned to me and sarcastically said, “Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay,” and proceeded to ask me how many pieces of bread I had eaten so far — a completely inappropriate and humiliating question, especially in front of others. As we tried to place our food orders, things only got worse. We asked for pasta with vongole (clams) and another with cozze (mussels). He refused to take the order as requested, and instead shouted that he would make a mix of both, and that we could just give the parts we didn’t want to someone else at the table. The tone was aggressive, loud, and deeply disrespectful. At that point, I had enough. I have never been treated so rudely in any restaurant in my life. I felt bullied, embarrassed, and completely disrespected — especially in front of other diners who turned to look. I made the decision to leave. Dining out is supposed to be a pleasant experience — not one where you’re shouted at, belittled, or pressured into eating something you don’t want. Da Carlo not only failed in service, but in basic human decency.
