20/01/2026: Sal8 delivered one of the best meals of our entire trip. The cacao tagliatelle was, without exaggeration, the most delicious pasta I’ve ever eaten—perfectly balanced, earthy yet subtly sweet, and completely unforgettable. Truly next-level. We also had the sea bass with mashed potatoes, and both were bursting with flavor—fresh, delicate fish paired with incredibly rich and comforting potatoes done just right. The meal started with excellent Sicilian bread and olive oil, followed by thoughtfully paired wines that complemented each dish beautifully. We finished with a delectable tiramisu, the perfect ending to an already flawless meal. Beyond the food, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish. Sal8 is an absolute must-do in Agrigento—creative, soulful cooking done exceptionally well. 🍷🍝✨

The service is incredibly friendly and patient, especially with children – you immediately feel that even the youngest guests are truly welcome here. The waiters are helpful, offer advice, and pay attention to every detail, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious – fresh, aromatic, and prepared with great care. Each dish looks and tastes like a small work of art. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

09/01/2026: Unfortunately, I had to eat at this place for Epiphany. Needless to say, they'll never see me again. I paid €83 for two dishes, one of which was a crudité, BLACK PRAWNS, probably starved to death, and two small scampi, also of very questionable appearance. The fried food was neither praise nor infamy, but you know, fried food is fine even at a table. They even told me, seeing that I was photographing the PRAWNS, that I was "overdoing it." They didn't take the dish off the bill, and instead, to top it off, a small glass of Amaro Averna cost €10, something you wouldn't even find in a Milanese gallery. What can I say? If you want to spend a lot of money senselessly, probably eat some who knows how processed prawns, and end up with something unpleasant, this is the place to be! My heartfelt congratulations.

05/01/2026: We chose Akropolis Restaurant for our baby's baptism, and everything was perfect, from the masterfully managed organization by the very kind Cristina, to the menu preparation by the chef and his team, to the professional service of the head waiter and his team. The outdoor area is also wonderful, offering a breathtaking view of the Valley of the Temples. Thank you so much again!

22/11/2025: Had dinner for two this evening. Excellent value for money. The fish is incredibly fresh and expertly cooked. The sardines alla beccafico are delicious, as are the mixed fried fish and the raw ham from Mazara del Vallo. The caponata is the best. We really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

07/01/2026: Good value for money, worth it for a gem like this. Not to mention the view. Lots of appetizers, 2 first courses, and the grilled meat. The pasta with sauce was excellent. As for the rest, I have to say everything was good. The staff was courteous and attentive, with a special mention for Flavia. We'll definitely be back.

04/12/2025: Truly unbeatable value for money. For €30, the menu includes appetizers (plenty) and truly delicious first and second courses. Excellent Stigliola! The view is breathtaking, and drinking coffee on the terrace was very relaxing. I'll be back.

07/12/2025: I'm giving 2 stars only for the food; the rest is unrated. We had lunch at this restaurant with seven of us. I booked the night before, but when we arrived, the table wasn't ready. It actually seemed like they didn't know we were coming. We had to wait for them to set up the table. We sat down and were served after about 15 minutes. The service was practically nonexistent; the waitresses didn't speak. During service, I noticed that the meat display case was located near the entrance door and that a guy working in the kitchen kept going back and forth with pieces of meat in his hands (gloves on) but without even a tray (it's not pleasant to see). We finished lunch and waited for someone to come and ask if we'd like dessert, coffee, or a liqueur, but nothing, so we decided to get up and pay. I'm sorry because the food is good, but everything else needs updating. They were neither welcoming nor courteous, everything was very cold.

08/01/2026: A very nice place, a beautiful and atmospheric building. The room was pleasant and comfortable at a very good price, clean and fragrant, and the staff was very friendly! We were also pleased with the breakfast.

08/01/2026: A very good place to stay! Rooms at a low price in perfect condition. We paid less than 20 euros for a night with breakfast. The room was completely satisfactory, the breakfast was a bit sparse, but worth the price. Delicious coffee made by the breakfast lady, not from a machine. I recommend this place to everyone!

07/01/2026: On the Writers' Road, a lunch break worthy of Pirandello. The originality of the people of Agrigento astonishes once again. The search for fresh ingredients, generous portions, and culinary expertise are evident, beyond all reasonable opinion, in the kitchen of a gas station café. Fair prices, good food, and generous portions. Obviously, it's not a restaurant, but a place for a quick lunch break. But...if there were service stations in Italy, perhaps we'd be happier paying our tolls to eat at places like this.

25/11/2025: The place has a great atmosphere. The food portions are decent, though some of us (6 of us) were left half-eaten. We ordered pasta and fish (sea bass). Delicious. Unfortunately, we arrived before closing time (3 p.m.) and the dishes were undercooked. The pasta was too hard, and the potatoes served with the fish were also hard. Hence the only 3 stars. The service was okay.

30/12/2025: Went for a birthday, good pizza, unfortunately they didn't have Coke Zero or peach tea (but I hope it was because they had run out), overall a welcoming and nice location.

19/10/2025: Table booked for 4 arrived on time we ordered 4 pizzas (2 Quattro Stagioni and 2 Tropea and two medium beers and a bottle of water). After an hour of waiting we said that we had a train at 11pm they told us that they were cooking (false) we got up and asked to put them in the box.. we waited some more.. in the end the bill 40 euros..... MADNESS.. INEEDIBLE PIZZAS.... (THEY DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE)

29/08/2025: Had a bad experience here 2 years ago. Maybe it was the yeast, but I had a bad night visiting the bathroom a few times. To give it credit, I had a takeout recently which was fine after. Maybe it was just that one bad pizza. But I guess we all have to take our chances!
