Chef Giovanni's recipes are waiting to be discovered! I recommend the La Tartaruga Restaurant in San Giovanni di Posada to all those looking for quality and friendliness with a splendid view of the sea!
29/10/2023: We were coming from a walk along the sea, it was lunch time, we wanted to eat something but the restaurant was closed.
However, there was a kiosk and we only had an aperitif.
Nearby there was a pine forest with plenty of shade.

31/12/2023: È stata una serata veramente speciale.abbiamo prenotato eConsiglio di prenotare perché col fatto che si mangia benissimo era pieno. Noi in vacanza e senza conoscere il locale abbiamo preso tutto pesce... Vi dico che avevo il mare in tavola per quanto era fresco e buono e soprattutto abbondante!!! Prezzo giusto!! Da ritornare sicuramente

10/10/2023: Per il 4 anno torno al moletto per chiudere la mia vacanza in Sardegna.
Ma questa volta nn ci siamo proprio.
Prima i piatti di crudi erano abbondanti vari e straordinari , adesso invece un misero piattino con 2/3 varianti e basta.
La fregola era praticamente annacquata e di pessimo gusto.
Ho pagato in media 25 euro in più delle scorse volte ma se il servizio è questo addio moletto.
Peccato … era veramente un posto fantastico

Fregola fantastica, gulugiones anche di più.
E poi tonno pancettato, esperienza unica.
Da tornare assolutamente.

13/10/2023: Wir waren an vier Abenden essen gegangen. Die sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung und das sehr gute Essen waren immer top.
Nebst dem Ristorante Lungomare das beste Ristorante in Orosei.
Bei schönem Wetter mittags im Lungomare und abends in der Taverna und die Ferien gelingen.
06/10/2023: Wir mussten 1 Stunde auf das Essen warten (Melone und Schinken & Calamari) und als das Essen endlich kam, waren die Calamari kalt. Auch die Kartoffeln im Hauptgang waren kalt. Nach einer weiteren Weile und etwas Mikrowelle ging es dann. Erinnerte aber mehr an die Raststätte einer deutschen Autobahn als an die erwartete gute italienische Küche.

raffinato ma informale, cucina dal sapore "famigliare" molto buona e con porzioni generose ( se non si riesce a finire tutto ti fanno la "doggy bag") Consigliato oltre che per la cordialità dei proprietari anche per l'ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!

20/01/2024: I have been to this restaurant several times. Today I asked if the dog could come in and I was denied. I won't set foot there again! In another restaurant he was welcomed very willingly and I also saved significantly on the bill, given the prices at Ciusa. Shameful!

16/10/2023: I don't know if it was worse the wine so airy as to be "marsalato", the pizza made with chewing gum, or the cold fish appetizer from the freezer.
The dishes in the photos on this site are not even on the menu.
I highly doubt we will return.

08/04/2024: The most lovely place. Located on a hill in the outskirts of the small town of Dorgali, surrounded by woods and with an amazing view on the valley. The owner is super nice and an endless source of interesting information about the area. The rooms are quite basic but large, well lit, and spotless. The restaurant offers a selection of delicious home-style local specialties and pizza. Cannot recommend this place enough.
29/11/2023: The review only refers to the restaurant, which is beautifully located on a mountain peak. The arduous climb is definitely rewarded with a spectacular view! When we arrived the tables were still being set, but we were still warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a table. For wine I had the sparkling Dorgalese rosé, my companion drank water. The starter platter with a selection of sausages and green olives was tasty, the various pasta dishes were well prepared, although the tomato sauce on the ravioli overpowered the taste of the cheese filling too much. The suckling pig (although we were only able to order it if we ordered it in advance) was incredibly good.
Unfortunately, one dish (steak and fried potato slices) was completely forgotten and arrived late. The mixed fried fish plate that we had originally ordered was also forgotten, but that turned out to be an advantage because we were quickly full. The other forgotten dish was fine, although the steak really seems to be designed for ravenous guests as it is huge! Unfortunately, the fried potatoes that came with it were a bit thinly sliced and greasy.
Unfortunately, after the main course, the waiter didn't come to our table and the wine glass remained empty for a long time. A pity!
The restaurant is well maintained (including the sanitary facilities, there is even a baby changing area), and the staff was very friendly. The older waiter even spoke some German. Unfortunately, something was missing for 5 stars, especially the attention that we received at the beginning of the visit could have been maintained. It's a busy place with good food, although we've had better food elsewhere.
