10/06/2025: We had lunch here after a visit to the caves. Great service and a good menu, we had grilled calamari and an octopus salad. Took great photos from the restaurant of the view.

25/05/2025: Fantastisch eten met fantastisch uitzicht. Helaas vroeg in seizoen dus we waren met nog een ander stel en dat was het. Super goede bediening. Het eten was echt super lekker en vers. Enorme aanrader.

27/09/2025: The only place in Sardinia where they charge you for a glass of water with your coffee. So much for Sardinian hospitality!

22/09/2025: We stopped by chance on the road. No regrets, very good products, quality unlike what you can find on the coast. We left satisfied and very happy with our find.

16/09/2025: We only ate at the restaurant. The restaurant was full of people, but they made an effort and got us a table relatively quickly. The food was very tasty, except for the dessert, which was quite below average compared to the main meal and appetizer. At the end they served us a free digestif. The rating for service would probably be higher if the restaurant wasn't really crowded.

17/08/2025: Hotel San Francisco is a really nice place. We felt well-cared from the very beginning, and were given very good instructions on how to get to the hotel (we received a very helpful video). The communication with the staff was fantastic – we arrived in Cala Gonone really late but Mr. Maurizio was waiting for us and kept in touch with us, for which we were truly grateful. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast outside was very pleasant, with a beautiful view, very close to the sea. Mr. Maurizio was truly helpful with every issue – from small tips about the location to attractions around Cala Gonone. The location is excellent; despite the lack of parking directly at the hotel, finding a parking space nearby was never a problem – we were also very grateful for the staff's tips. We also highly recommend ice cream – the best in all Cala Gonone! We hope to return to this beautiful place, and if we do, we will definitely choose the Hotel San Francisco, where we could truly relax. Greetings Magda & Marek

03/10/2025: We received a friendly welcome and were able to communicate in half Italian and half English. It looked very nice both inside and out. The food was delicious and the house wine was good. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely eat here again.

17/09/2025: Incredibly rude staff & slow service but the food was very good and well-priced. It’s also a lovely setting. We will not return because of the poor service but make your own choice if you can handle the fact that the staff feel like they’d rather be anywhere else but working here!

16/09/2025: A very good experience and a restaurant with excellent value for money. Two people with 5 glasses of house wine between them, two main courses, a water, and a dessert for €51. Lovely atmosphere. There are cats on site who don't bother us and let you touch them. I recommend the spaghetti alla vongole (seafood spaghetti) - we really liked it. You can book via WhatsApp. And there are options to have your pasta made gluten-free. There is parking in the blue zone at the port, about a 10-minute walk away.
