18/08/2024: Not a very large place located in an alley in the center of Cagliari. What can I say... everything was fantastic, really excellent food and more than honest prices. The staff was quick and very kind, in particular we want to thank the waiter Alberto, who welcomed us and looked after us with great attention, professionalism and friendliness. If you happen to be in town, you can't miss this restaurant!

29/09/2024: I would strongly advise against dining here if you're even remotely considering it. While the food is passable, though leaning heavily on the salty side, the portion sizes are laughably small, particularly for the main courses, making sharing virtually impossible. To make matters worse, two of the meat dishes were unavailable, leaving us with little choice but to settle for vegetarian or seafood options. The menu inside the restaurant was also drastically different from what was advertised outside and the outdated Google images added to the misleading experience. We contemplated walking out but felt awkward after they'd already served us water. What truly soured the experience, however, was the service. One server in particular, a rather unremarkable waitress with brown glasses, demonstrated a profound lack of professionalism, a trait you would think is basic in the hospitality industry. Her demeanor was standoffish, and it seemed her priority was to gossip with her colleagues behind the bar rather than provide decent service. Her colleagues, to their credit, were much more competent and pleasant—one from Tunisia, in particular, went out of her way to ensure a comfortable experience, even when dealing with the cramped table space. When it came time to settle the bill, the waitress with brown glasses addressed my partner instead of me, and even after being directed to me, continued to engage with others at the table rather than the person actually paying. She avoided eye contact with me entirely, which felt deliberately rude. I’ve never encountered such disrespect as a paying customer, and my family shared the same sentiment. It took everything in me not to call her out publicly for her unprofessional behavior. If customer service is too much to ask of her, she may want to reconsider her career path. I wouldn’t dream of recommending this place to anyone, and I certainly won’t be returning ever, props to that waitress.

14/09/2024: Nice atmosphere and relaxed music. The main dishes were tasty but small, the zuchini starter was uninspired and not worth it. The glass of wine for 7€ was only a quarter of a glass full. All in all slightly overrated

27/10/2024: Unique, elegant and refined environment Perfect service. Marino and all the staff were extremely kind and present. They spoke to us several times, giving us detailed explanations of the dishes. Huge choice of fine foods and wines. Adequate prices. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Cagliari (if not the best!!) We will return with great pleasure and highly recommend it Congratulations 👏👏👏

17/10/2024: Wonderful experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service was impeccable, thank you very much. The menu offers a delicious selection of dishes (with vegetarian options too). The excellent raw materials, well prepared and the final dessert was a real pleasure. I definitely recommend visiting it for anyone looking for a good dinner in the city!

23/11/2024: This is a classy quiet place for fresh seafood done Sardinian style. Fairly priced. Had fresh tuna that almost melted in your mouth but had a nice sear. Pasta with artichokes and clam. Deep fried octopus had a faint sweetness bc of freshness.

21/09/2024: Tuna tartar was really good! I ate the raw platter with red shrimp, langustines and oysters with was very fresh, though the oyster weren’t detached and everything was quite pricey (raw shrimp were 9€ compared to 5€ in other places)

11/10/2024: Dopo aver letto le recensioni ed averne sentito parlare molto bene decidiamo di provare questo ristorante a pranzo. Il tempo mite ci consente di mangiare all'aperto nella via pedonale. Il personale è cordiale e ci mette subito a nostro agio. Ordiniamo come antipasti: cozze, cannolicchi, polpo e fritto misto. Come primo pasta fresca fatta dal ristorante stesso, con cozze, scampi e gamberoni. Vino Karmis. Chiudiamo con amaro e caffè. Totale per 3 persone 120 €. Siamo stati molto bene. Lo consiglio e ci torneremo.

21/09/2024: Ceniamo in questo ristorante affacciato su corso Vittorio Emanuele, nei tavoli all'aperto. Subito rimaniamo piacevolmente colpiti dalla gentilezza e cordialità con la proprietaria ed il personale, tutti molto attenti alla mia problematica di intolleranza (celiaca). Prendiamo due antipasti (insalata di polpo, morbida e buona, e zuppa di cozze e vongole, porzione generosa con cozze belle gandi e gustose). A seguire, io prendo un filetto di orata con pomodorini, che mi viene servita perfettamente sfilettata. Il mio compagno un fritto misto. A seguire caffè e mirto. Prezzo onestissimo, atmosfera e feeling con la proprietaria! Quando torneremo a Cagliari, tappa obbligatoria.

04/12/2024: se si cerca cucina sarda autentica, questo è la miglior scelta. Piccola carta con piatti tipici regionali. ogni volta una gioia!

24/11/2024: Dopo un po’ di tempo in cui ci fermavamo per le colazioni in occasioni di passaggio, e che attendavamo il periodo giusto per organizzarci, oggi siamo riusciti a venirci per pranzo. Si mangia divinamente. Abbondanti e svariati antipasti di terra, primi , carne in umido, maialetto arrosto, cinghiale , verdure fresche , buon vino, dolci tipici sardi, caffè’ e amaro. Eravamo talmente sazi che abbiamo dovuto lasciare sul piatto, a malincuore, una parte della squisita carne di cinghiale. Prezzo assolutamente onesto in rapporto a tutto, dalla quantità alla qualità delle ottime pietanze, del servizio e del posto. Straconsigliato!

14/12/2024: Terrible service to say the least, particularly in the afternoon around 5pm when there are still few people. The place should be elegant, but only apparently it is, there is rudeness and even the furnishings leave something to be desired... in the bathroom the door doesn't close and there is no hand cleaner!!! dark atmosphere inside, the only positive note are the desserts!!

09/12/2024: Located in the heart of the Stampace district in Cagliari, Mondo & Luca is a welcoming restaurant that offers cuisine inspired by Sardinian tradition, with particular attention to fish dishes. The overall experience was pleasant, but not without some small imperfections. The food stands out for the quality of the ingredients and the attention to traditional recipes. The sea bream with Vernaccia turned out to be the real highlight of the evening: one of the best I've ever tasted, juicy, tasty and cooked to perfection. However, there were some problems with the temperatures of other dishes: the octopus salad was served a little too cold and the dessert was still partially frozen. The restaurant is comfortable and well-kept, ideal for a relaxing dinner, and the staff were kind and helpful, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere. With a bill of 75 euros for two, the quality-price ratio is normal, but greater attention to detail would have improved the experience. However, Mondo & Luca remains an interesting restaurant, perfect for those looking for a taste of Sardinian cuisine, with the potential to take a further step forward.

01/12/2024: Trip out of town and we booked at this nice restaurant (not very convincing from the outside, then we changed our minds). We took both land and sea menus. Compliments to the chef, fresh food, generous portions and delicious. The waitress was very professional and courteous.....excellent value for money! We recommend it and if another trip to the area happens we will return
