05/04/2025: Friendliness and professionalism at the right price. Fresh food and well-prepared dishes. The view is fantastic. A good glass of Barolo in this context is priceless. Usually, I always do an improvisation during a motorbike tour and despite this, they have always welcomed me looking for the best accommodation. Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations! I would highly recommend it.

20/04/2025: Unfortunately a negative experience that we will not easily forget.
I have been in the restaurant sector for years and, for this very reason, I always try to approach those who work in this world with respect and understanding.
My family and I were treated with rudeness and arrogance, for no reason. In fact there is a reason: the moment we decided to take a glass of wine instead of the whole bottle, the owner completely changed his attitude by continuing to make jokes and be intrusive with my father even from a physical point of view, it was almost surreal to experience such a rude situation.
Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED with every fiber of my body!!!!!
15/04/2025: Great food at reasonable prices. The chef is giving traditional Piemonte e dishes a very modern twist. The service was impeccable. Our second visit to Locanda Fontanazza was very worth it. We will certainly come back. Keep up the good work.

22/04/2025: Went on Easter Monday, terrible service, waited a long time to eat, people who went away fed up with not being served, saw absurd things... like the owner gave money to the chef to go get food from the supermarket next door, the menu wasn't à la carte as booked by us 2 days before, it was set by them, total 2 first courses and 2 second courses of your choice, I asked for fries which didn't even have those, it's a shame because the location is nice and clean, the staff was terrible, thank goodness they made pizza, of which we asked the pizza chef for marinara without garlic, he almost insulted us by saying that marinara without garlic is not marinara...
I strongly advise against it...
21/04/2025: SLOW service… 1,5h and we had only been served the starter. 3 out of 4 dishes were nice, however the meat was chewy Seems to be no plan in the serving area or kitchen. Room for improvement.

30/12/2024: Il locale è una via di mezzo tra una tabaccheria, un bar ed una tavola calda, piccolo ma piacevole nel suo complesso, con accostamenti rustico antico e moderno a volte un po' stridenti (come i muri in pietre a vista verniciati di bianco...)
C'è posto (non molto) sia nei tavoli classici che ad un bancone con sgabelli.
Menu da trattoria con piatti tipici ma anche aperitivi, taglieri e panini.
Servizio cortese, tovagliette di carta, tempi nella norma.
Abbiamo preso, complessivamente in due, un primo, un secondo, due dolci, un bicchiere di dolcetto ed un'acqua minerale, totale circa 60 euro.
Tutto buono, i dolci in particolare (pere cotte nel vino con gelato alla crema e torta di nocciole con zabaglione) erano spettacolari ed abbondanti.
Unico neo il prezzo: pagare una zuppa di ceci 14 euro ed un'insalata di cappone 18 euro (ci sono stati entrambi proposti come fuori menù, ed ingenuamente non abbiamo chiesto prima il prezzo...), 2 euro e 50 per 1/2 litro di acqua nella bottiglietta di plastica, mi sembra davvero esagerato. (coperto 2.5 euro)
In un posto come questo si va a cercare un pasto veloce ma di qualità ad un prezzo ragionevole, ma alla fine si spende come al ristorante.....
Purtroppo anche qui sulle Langhe "ricche", ovvero nei dintorni di Alba, come in Riviera ligure ed in altre zone dove il turismo ha creato un certo afflusso di visitatori, i prezzi sono saliti notevolmente, a volte in modo non proporzionato al servizio offerto.
Tiro un po' acqua al mio mulino, ma consiglio chi vuole mangiare bene e spendere il giusto di orientarsi verso l'Alta Langa (quella "povera"). Bisogna però affrettarsi, anche qui il vento sta cambiando rapidamente.....
23/11/2024: Abbiamo chiesto disponibilità per uno spuntino veloce e abbiamo atteso 1 ora in piedi . Le focacce e i piatti sono buoni; peccato per le risposte sgarbate dal titolare del tutto gratuite. Se il locale si è ingolfato non è colpa dei clienti ma della tua organizzazione; una maggior serenità ed empatia avrebbe sicuramente lasciato un miglior ricordo. Peccato perché sul territorio abbiamo solo avuto accoglienze fantastiche
