03/03/2026: My favorite restaurant in Finale. All the food is excellent, seasonal, and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and fast. However, I haven't eaten there since December because it's temporarily closed. When will you reopen?
03/01/2026: We ate here twice during our vacation. Despite the long wait (New Year's Eve week) and since reservations aren't possible, I highly recommend it!
The waiter, who takes care of the wait list and seats you, is very quick, attentive, lively, efficient, and professional! He keeps an eye on everything and everyone and makes sure your experience is excellent.
The food is very good, both the pizza and the fish dishes! The portions are excellent and the prices are fair! The tiramisu is also very delicious!
We'll definitely be back :)

20/03/2026: A restaurant that lives up to its name. Dreamy fried fish, baked catch of the day, excellent tagliolini with scorpion fish, and spectacular desserts. All this was accompanied by the kindness and expertise of the young woman who professionally explained each dish to us and made us feel pampered and at home! Thank you! We will definitely be back on our next vacation with friends.

There were five of us at the table, each with different dishes, and it was a real treat.

19/10/2025: High-quality food prepared impeccably, friendly and professional staff, a location chosen by these fantastic guys who have tastefully revived it, and a wide and refined selection of natural wines.
Don't be put off by the 10-minute drive from the center of Finale Ligure (a good stretch of which is on dirt road), once you've visited Valleponci, you'll understand it was worth it.
We return AT LEAST once a year because we can't live without it.
09/10/2025: A beautiful and peaceful spot near the coast – easily accessible by car bike. The place has a wonderful authentic atmosphere, and we met some amazing people there. We only had the apero, but it was excellent. I was a bit surprised that olives weren’t included, but it seems to be common in all the places we visited.

02/01/2026: We had a delicious meal. We only ordered vegetarian dishes (spaghetti and ravioli, salad, and dessert), which were very fresh and authentically Italian. The service was friendly but reserved; it was admirable how the owner managed everything single-handedly. Excellent value for money! The only downside was the ambiance, as it was quite chilly in the restaurant (in January). The background music was also interesting – hard rock! 😆👍
13/10/2025: A well-known restaurant with consistently delicious, well-crafted dishes. Reasonable value for money. Excellent dinner sitting outside in the small alleyway. It's a shame that, since the tables aren't covered, a pigeon didn't try to ruin my dinner, just my shirt! First course with squid ink and fried seafood with a few vegetables.

08/11/2025: I've been going to Vecchio Mercato for almost twenty years, and it's become a trusted name in my opinion. Probably the best pizza you'll find within a radius of several kilometers. Service is basic but courteous and fast, and the place is traditional and welcoming. I highly recommend the French fries, a must for any diner!

18/02/2026: A wonderful Valentine's Day celebration with friends: we ate delicious pizza, drank well, and sang all evening with the karaoke they organized for the evening.
The venue is very central, near the main square in Finale Ligure, and very comfortable and welcoming.
Fabulous hospitality, with owners and staff always smiling.
We'll definitely be back very soon.

06/01/2026: Last day of our weekend in Finale Ligure and I must say a pleasant surprise for this place, Friendliness, friendliness, but above all excellent dishes and careful attention to the choice of raw materials. Coming from Turin we returned home with full bellies, but above all with the right balance, quality/price. I recommend this place to everyone and congratulations again to the owners for their friendliness and kindness towards us.

24/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale visitando Finalborgo, pranzato all'aperto in piazza e trovato ottima la soluzione di poter scegliere tipo di pasta e sughi. Servizio veloce e personale cortese. Qualità buona, consigliato se ci passate.
16/04/2025: Tourist Trap. Personale scortese, abbiamo trovato un sasso nel piatto e quando lo abbiamo reclamato, il proprietario ci ha risposto che è normale trovare sassi nel piatto perché il pesce che propongono è fresco. Ancora non capiamo il nesso tra le due cose. Il piatto era stato mandato indietro e alla mia amica non è stato proposto di rifare la portata. Alla cassa ci hanno fatto comunque pagare anche il piatto con il sasso nonostante fosse per almeno la metà pieno. Inoltre il proprietario ci ha accusate di aver sottolineato il problema perché non volevamo pagare, mettendo in dubbio la nostra onestà.
A livello di qualità del cibo mi dispiace ma nessuno dei piatti 3 piatti a base di pesce aveva un ottimo sapore ( nonostante le allusioni alla freschezza), inoltre le vongole erano piene di sabbia. Il pesto ordinato dalla 4a persona era leggermente acido. Rispecchia perfettamente gli stereotipi sulla ristorazione italiana con core business i turisti.

Abbiamo prenotato in mattinata un tavolo per le 20. Alle 20 ci siamo presentati e ci sono stati indicati successivamente 2 tavoli prenotati ad altro nome. Alla fine il tavolo c'è lo siamo cercati da soli. Abbiamo aspettato seduti 30 minuti senza neanche ricevere il menù. A questo punto abbiamo lasciato il locale. Il titolare ci ha salutati senza neanche accorgersi che non avevamo consumato alcunché.

11/04/2025: Abbiamo mangiato solo una pizza , buona e ben farcita, buona lievitazione della pasta, nessun disturbo di digestione ( mia moglie e' molto sensibile), prezzo buono ,anzi mi sembra nettamente inferiore alla media di Finale Ligure. Per dare un'idea 5 pizze ( 2margerita 2 4stagioni, 1 salame piccante ) 1 L.vino e 2L acqua tot 64 euro.

2 antipasti 2 secondi vino pigato (hanno portato secchiello con ghiaccio), piatti molto belli alla vista e ottimo pesce. Prezzo giusto per il contesto (100 euro)
