19/01/2025: Being without our son busy with the oratory for lunch we decided to return to eat in this restaurant after some time and we found a changed place inside (spectacular), but with the same quality of food and service!! ! We won't let the same period pass to return...
12/01/2025: Beautiful lunch regarding the food and the friendliness of the service from Emanuele which made our experience very pleasant. The negative note was the two bottles of wine sent back from the same cellar, but not so much for the bottles themselves, but for the way in which the situation was managed, or rather, not managed. I'm really sorry for how things went, especially because we hadn't seen our friends for two years and it was supposed to be a lunch to celebrate and experience a special moment with them. The way we were treated was unprecedented, especially regarding the lack of professionalism on the part of the sommelier. I would like to point out that we understand perfectly that some bottles can often be "ruined" by certain factors, but it does not mean that if they are sent back then no one has to take care of the service. When we finally attracted the sommelier's attention, we were immediately told that we would still have to pay for the second bottle because it had already been poured into the glasses (the latter obviously also sent back full because they were undrinkable) and that she couldn't do anything about it. Honestly speaking, we weren't very interested in whether or not to pay for that bottle, but rather in buying another one and continuing with our lunch and culinary experience. This struck us more than anything: talking about the bill even before understanding how to fix the situation. I'm not here to dwell on the arrogance, behavior and rudeness with which everything was dealt with, but that's not how you treat people, especially customers who are spending money on the business you work for. We felt like we were causing a problem when, in fact, it was our lunch that was ruined. I expect a restaurant of this level to have more attentive and courteous service. If you want to offer a high-quality experience to your customers, you should work on training your staff and managing criticism. After all, I believe this is your job: to take care of those who come to eat with you, with care, passion and maybe even a smile, as long as it's not too much to ask. We were ready to book again with our families and friends but after this unpleasant experience I must say that in addition to not returning at all, we will strongly advise against it.

05/01/2025: We must give credit to these guys who in an almost deserted Salsomaggiore still believe in it... these activities must be helped and encouraged to keep open! Flavors of unique tradition... zero km products whose love can be felt in every single bite... homemade desserts and passion for one's profession! A girl with a degree in Art (I hope I'm not wrong) who leaves everything to dedicate herself to cooking, putting her heart into every dish! Guests of the Grand Hotel in Salsomaggiore, it's worth going out and taking a few steps to visit these guys! WELL DONE! Keep it up! 04/12/2024: The first impression of elegant building can be misleading, when you expect communication with staff and quality food. If you are foreigner you can eat somewhere else. I wouldn’t call the food I received there as “typical Italian” and the lack of communication skills is gross. The restaurant and possibility of eating outside in nice surroundings is definitely an advantage but it’s not everything. The first pizza I received was fatty but at least the ingredients were spread steadily. The second one looks like the cook took some ingredients and placed them wherever he wants. The number of artichokes is enormous compared to black olives. Besides that the young waitress, who came to us didn’t know any word in English and the menu wasn’t as well available in English. The waitress who couldn’t recommend you any dishes and what they include (at even basic level), because she doesn’t know English is NOT a waitress.
