26/05/2025: We celebrated our son Christian's communion at the Manfredi restaurant. My husband and I were looking for a private place for an intimate ceremony: it wasn't easy, but here it was possible to achieve exactly what we wanted. The room was very well-kept and refined, creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The service was fast and efficient, with excellent food and course quality: special praise to chef Mazzei for his impeccable cuisine. Special thanks go to the owner Angela, who took care of the organization with great cordiality, precision and was present throughout the banquet, making us feel welcomed and looked after at all times. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to celebrate a special event in a private setting, with excellent service from every point of view.

13/04/2025: Eravamo alla ricerca di un ristorante tipico del posto che facesse pietanze senza glutine e senza rischio di contaminazione, abbiamo trovato questa locanda molto accogliente con una sala molto riservata. Abbiamo visionato il menù della casa e la proprietaria con tanta gentilezza, ci ha consigliato dei vini per le portate che avevamo scelto. Cucina e a dir poco eccezionale, portate preparate al momento con attenzione ai dettagli e all’occhio. Alimenti e materie prime di qualità e personale favoloso, cortese e disponibile preparati anche alle esigenze senza glutine. Consiglio vivamente, ci ritorneremo presto!!

29/01/2025: Locale piccolo ed accogliente. La signora che ci ha servito è stata gentilissima, presente e discreta. I piatti davvero superbi, i prodotti di ottima qualità sono stati sapientemente fatti esaltare in preparazioni di tradizione rivisitata in modo eccellente. I prezzi per come e quanto mangiato sono più che corretti. Non possiamo che consigliare questa perla.

03/05/2025: Serata tranquilla con la famiglia, è vero che le attese siano un po' lunghe ma ne vale la pena. I prodotti di qualità assoluta sono un piacere per il palato. Ideale per chi vuole stare tranquillo e chiacchierare con chi è a tavola cob lui. È una perla da visitare.

The appetizer is worth all its reputation, offering various typical Calabrian products and is very very rich.. as is the mixed second course.. The first courses are also excellent but not in large quantities.. Highly recommended

30/05/2025: Ci si ritorna sempre con immenso piacere in questo posto del cuore per ristorare anima e palato. Si raggiunge comodamente, a sette chilometri dall’uscita A2 di Altilia, salendo verso Martirano. L’accoglienza è affidata a Massimiliano che ci fa sentire subito a casa, in cucina invece la moglie a la mamma, instancabile cuoca di questa osteria sin dagli anni 60. I piatti proposti seguono la stagione, raccontano il territorio e sono preparati con passione usando per lo più verdure, ortaggi e carni allevate in azienda. Dopo il ricco antipasto casereccio pieno di leccornie, consiglio le pappardelle con funghi porcini e salsiccia o condite con sugo di soppressata e olive o, ancora, con il ragù di maiale ed a seguire le ottime carni, dal pollo arrosto con patate, al coniglio alla cacciatora, agnello al forno o trippa. In questo periodo anche le fave fresche con la cotica. Si finisce con i dolcetti della casa e si innaffia con un gradevolissimo rosso sfuso delle loro vigne (gaglioppo e greco nero). Nella nella stagione si può gustare il pranzo nella veranda con affaccio sulla valle. Per un pranzo completo non si superano i 25/30 euro. Tappa che vale il viaggio!

01/06/2025: Following the recommendation of the Calabria travel guide, we read the current reviews. We arrived there on a Saturday evening, somewhat unprepared, luckily very early, as the online information about opening at 7:30 p.m. is incorrect. But that doesn't bother anyone here. We drank two Prosecco glasses until it opened at 8:00 p.m., which we received without hesitation, along with a small appetizer on the house. The restaurant was completely booked that evening. It's a pure fish and seafood restaurant, and most guests knew what they wanted anyway; they didn't even get a menu. The food was excellent, and the value for money was decent. Contrary to what the guidebook described, the interior is now stylish and appealing. The staff was attentive and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit.

21/06/2025: Ritornati dopo qualche mese Al Pirata… che dire esperienza ancora una volta SUPERLATIVA , vista mare da togliere il fiato, cibo strepitoso, personale gentile e i proprietari dolcissimi. CONSIGLIATISSIMO.

Il tutto avvolto da una vista mozzafiato...., tramonto sul mare! Personale gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio.
