20/11/2024: What can I say, a typical restaurant, typical cuisine, a unique place to taste true traditional dishes. THE LEGEND OF "EL GATT" A long fishing tradition, a cat and an old nickname. The history of this restaurant, located right in front of the sea along the Adriatic coast, has its roots in the most authentic Marotta, that of a family of fishermen who decided to open the doors of their home, and above all of their kitchen, to friends and relatives as a place of waiting and refreshment: this is why conviviality is one of the values ​​that distinguish us. There is a story of a faithful cat who waited for his owner on the beach every evening to enjoy the flavors of the sea. After the death of the previous owner, the restaurant was taken over by two young sisters who continued the tradition and understood and carried forward its most characteristic features by offering genuine cuisine, foods and drinks from the rich Marche region and the generous Adriatic sea. When entering "El Gatt" don't expect large anonymous rooms and sterile tables but rather an old Trattoria del Pesce setting with vats, anchors, the blue of the sea and the brown of the wood, an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy your food in company. The value of waiting is fueled by the knowledge that each food is freshly prepared and cooked for you. The menu that awaits you contains typical dishes of our Marche tradition expertly combined with a touch of originality. 29/03/2025: We ate very well. However, the service was perhaps a little too fast even though it wasn't crowded and therefore there was no need to rush (and there were enough waiters). For the rest, everything was very good.

18/03/2025: I have been to this restaurant on more than one occasion, each time finding confirmation of the excellent quality. The location on the sea is exceptional, the outdoor tables are literally "on the shore" and eating with the sound of the waves in the background and looking at the horizon is beautiful. Excellent cold appetizers, tagliatelle with seafood, not to mention grilled and fried dishes. Very friendly and fast service, fair prices and in line with the quality offered. For us a fixed stop every time we pass through those parts. The last time, a few days ago, we had dinner in a separate part of the place, very quiet and peaceful, an excellent solution with two children considering that it was a Saturday evening and the rest of the place was packed and even in that case we had a great time. 02/03/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo .. ottimo la degustazione di antipasti.. ma l'esperienza migliore sono stati i primi un vero delirio di gusto tra una carbonara di pesce e dei gnocchi che ricordano il sapere di casa della nonna.. e poi che dire il polpo non ha parole...grandi Andrea al servizio un vero gentleman.. ti accoglie con professionalità e fa sentire le signore principesse ma più di tutto ha un occhio anzi due di riguardo ai piccoli di casa.. e Alessio il cuoco top quality in cucina.. consigliatissimo!!!!!

18/03/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. Excellent advice because we ate really well. To start we tried the complete appetizer, a combination of flavors and expertly presented. For the main course we chose: fillet of sea bass with vegetables and cream of potatoes with clams and grilled calamari with puntarelle and anchovy sauce, very tasty. A side dish of sautéed herbs, wine and a dessert with a bottle of bubbles from the Marche region complete the lunch for a cost of €50. The staff was friendly and attentive, always available to explain the dishes. The restaurant is well-kept and relaxing. Now all that remains is to return to try the first courses too.
