31/10/2025: A truly wonderful experience at the Cavallini Restaurant in San Severino! As soon as you enter, you immediately sense the care and attention to every detail: an elegant yet welcoming space, a warm and relaxed atmosphere, and extremely kind staff, always available with a smile.
The cuisine is simply extraordinary: carefully crafted, beautifully presented, and prepared with the freshest ingredients. Each course speaks to the chef's passion and expertise. The fish cappellacci are truly unique—delicate, balanced, and bursting with flavor… truly a dish worthy of applause, a small masterpiece that alone is worth the visit. The other dishes also stand out for their flavor and originality, with always spot-on pairings.
My only personal complaint concerns the champagne risotto, which I found a bit too intense in flavor: for my taste, the champagne slightly overpowered the other aromas. That said, it's still a well-executed dish and a testament to the kitchen's desire to experiment.
Service is fast, attentive, but never intrusive. The portions are just right, the timing between courses is perfect, and the prices are absolutely in line with the quality. It's one of those places where you eat truly well and leave feeling completely satisfied, wanting to return.
Highly recommended for those seeking high-end cuisine, without too much formality but with lots of passion and authentic flavor.

05/11/2025: Award-winning owner and long-time chef. The ravioli were excellent, the cod was delicious. Excellent service, with a waiter who spoke Gambia. Highly recommended for a quality lunch or dinner.
Returning after 11 months, this time I had the polenta. I can honestly say I hadn't tasted polenta this good in three years; it was just like my mother used to make, in fact, much better. I also found the nervetti (veal nerves) for those who like them, which I absolutely love. I encourage all tourists to stop by this restaurant and try some F A B U L E dishes.

29/06/2025: Un giro in moto, una sosta veloce a san Severino e dopo un aperitivo in piazza (bellissima), ci consigliano il posticino. Troviamo cortesia, familiarità e buon cibo a buon prezzo.

22/06/2025: Really very tasty food. They serve delicious artisan pizzas (at least the pizza 'Il Posticino' and the somewhat spicy 'Giorgio+') in a nice atmospheric garden. Attentive service.

03/11/2025: We returned after a while with great anticipation. The appetizer was very good and varied, especially the salads, with excellent cured meats as well. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed by the gnocchi with chicory and pecorino cheese, due to the cream, which wasn't specified on the menu. Please, no cream, at least not for us, and not just for the inconvenience it can cause. We were only able to partially enjoy the dish, and not so much with the bill.
13/10/2025: A little out of the way, but worth a visit. Everything is excellent and reasonably priced.

02/11/2025: A small restaurant, inside you'll find any member of the family who runs it, ready to welcome you with serenity and friendliness.
There's a counter where you can order food, which you can then enjoy at one of the tables set up in the restaurant's garden, immersed in the peace and tranquility that a mountain village like Elcito can offer.
The menu offers several options for your sandwich, focaccia, or crescenza, using fresh, local products (something on the attached menu may not be available at the moment, as their offerings are based on availability). Absolutely inviting prices.
To enrich the experience, you can take a tour of the village, known as the "Little Tibet of the Marche," and channel all the positive energy that only the mountains can provide.
Furthermore, the famous Canfaito beech forest is 4 km away.

It's always a pleasure to return to these genuine and authentic places!
The crescia, the cured meats, the wild herbs, the cheeses—everything is truly delicious.
Even though it's the only restaurant in the Borgo di Elcito, the line moves quickly and there are tables available for outdoor dining.
They also have a website for online purchases!

15/08/2025: A gelateria (because that's the service I often frequent) that has few equals in the hinterland. Variety of flavors, creativity, and quality ingredients. Gelato always creamy and served at just the right temperature. The staff is dynamic and courteous.
19/04/2025: Very polite staff and quite fast. The room is nice, the outside is in a small area but a lot of people still come in. If you want to relax and divert your mind, highly recommended

21/08/2025: Truly a beautiful agriturismo. We went for lunch and everything was delicious. The location is beautiful, surrounded by a splendid view. We had the house appetizer, which was truly delicious, and then for our first course we had the truffle gnocchi, sublime, and the sausage and zucchini flower gnocchi, which were also enchanting. Everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly. A truly local gem, I recommend it to everyone.

27/10/2025: I took a menu for €18.00. The first course was inedible spaghetti carbonara. For the second course, I had baked pork shoulder (it seemed recycled). I found a splinter of bone in the salad. I think it's something to avoid.
15/10/2025: Excellent restaurant for quick and affordable lunches. €18 daily menu with a first course, second course, and side dish. You'll feel right at home.

27/10/2025: A decent restaurant, but with several areas for improvement.
The entrance is unclear and can be confusing. The €40 Sunday fixed menu didn't seem appropriate for the quality, quantity, and presentation of the dishes.
The staff lacks professionalism and empathy: the owner (or whoever acts as her representative) has a rigid and sometimes argumentative attitude, which makes the experience less pleasant.
There's potential, but greater attention to detail and a better balance between price, quality, and service are needed.
I would have given it a 2.5-star rating.
I'm giving it a third star out of encouragement, but I'm sorry, I won't be back...
25/10/2025: We booked at the last minute, we arrived the place is a country house.. we sat down the menu was on the blackboard, but it was from the day before.. he told us that the menu was fixed and there was no option to do the à la carte menu.. we spent €40 each, a real blow, the food was good for goodness sake but not abundant.. we took the meat away, because we don't eat much.. it would have been better if we had gotten up and gone to eat somewhere else.. I'll say only one thing but why didn't he say on the phone that they had the fixed menu?.. payment in cash and that's all I say..

01/07/2024: Ritornato dopo parecchi anni, ma ho ritrovato una delusione. Primo ristorante di media qualità dove il coperto si fa pagare € 3,00. Eravamo in 3 e abbiamo mangiato uno per volta alternati ad intervalli di 15 minuti tra una pietanza e un altra
Prezzi molto lievitati con servizio scadente.
Pizza molto lievitata solo per chi piace…
