La Taverna dell'Artista

24/02/2026: "The Artist's Tavern is a treasure chest hiding enchanting treasures."
In the center of Montelupone, a village that perfectly preserves its medieval origins and is meticulously cared for by its residents, there is a restaurant (also a B&B, Escape Room, and gourmet shop) run by Leonardo, a host and multifaceted artist of exceptional creativity mixed with pragmatism.
Specializing in risottos, we tried three types: beetroot and Taleggio DOP; saffron, cod, and chives; and black truffle and porcini mushrooms. All truly excellent!!! We were also impressed by the appetizer, a generous selection of local cured meats and typical fried foods from the Marche region.
We were hosted in a splendid frescoed room, but each room holds surprises that evoke the ancient history of those who inhabited those spaces.
The menu is extensive, and we will definitely return to try new dishes, preceded by a game session with a mysterious backstory in the Escape Room.
Last but not least, a word of praise goes to the kind and professional staff.
24/02/2026: Highly recommended! A place you absolutely must try and enjoy; we ate wonderfully and introduced our guests to the best of Marche cuisine. Plus, the risottos are fantastic and unique! The owner, Leonardo, is a veritable whirlwind of ideas and suggestions: we'll be back to try the escape room.

For a quick lunch.
I highly recommend it. Good selection of quick dishes and very friendly waitresses.

25/08/2024: Pizza nella norma, non cattive ma senza infamia e senza lode, costi decisamente troppo alti per quelle che sono le pizze. Se non erro la più economica è la marinara, 9€..
Tovaglie di carta, posate di legno e bicchieri di plastica per un coperto di 2€.
Il locale si affaccia sulla piazza, si vede la torre che è molto bella, ma per il resto per noi non vale la pena tornare!
I nostri complimenti vanno ai camerieri in due a fronte di tutti i tavoli occupati!
17/08/2024: Tolta la location, paese incantevole, a malincuore la pizza non vale i soldi spesi. Personale educato, ma mangiare con posate di legno (o green) e pizza che sembra quella surgelata, il prezzo è esagerato. Personalmente non ci tornerò più.

02/06/2024: Abbiamo organizzato una cena aziendale. Sabato a pranzo situazione molto tranquilla 12 persone tutti lo stesso menù.
Il locale era deserto eravamo solo noi, abbiamo evitato il menù alla carta per non creare troppo disagi. Antipasto freddo, un primo, fritto e arrosto. 2 bottiglie di prosecco 2 fermo. Non stiamo parlando di gourmet stiamo parlando della classica osteria senza infamia ne lode. Pesce congelato fiamminga di spaghetti anni 70 e fritto unto a più non posso.
Ma il problema non è stato tanto la qualità,
Ammetto di non aver concordato prima il prezzo ma per tutto questo abbiamo speso 70 euro a testa. Nei quali un bambino di 9 anni. 70 euro a testa!!!! Praticamente una truffa autorizzata. Credo che il locale sia agli ultimi stenti e provi a tirare avanti così però devo ammette che ci sente proprio derubati.
Io lo sconsiglio vivamente! State alla larga
