11/06/2025: I came back after several years and I don't regret it because the location is the same...characteristic and welcoming.
An excellent "host" made us sit with a lot of respect and sympathy.
An excellent service attentive to details.
The quality of the food is really very high and the abundance is homely.
From the cured meats, the cooked and flavored broad beans, the scrambled eggs with mushrooms, the Marche tripe, all exquisite. Continue with the polenta made with wholemeal flour and seasoned with an excellent sauce with ribs and sausage that remains sweet thanks to the tomato used (not acidic).
Not to mention the veal shank that is cut directly at the table accompanied by baked potatoes.
The grand finale is a maritozzo with Nutella and an excellent mistra that helps the digestion of all that poop.
I don't forget to mention the red wine that is not too full-bodied and goes well with the dishes.
Congratulations for your Marche excellence!
We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

03/05/2025: Trattoria furnished in a bizarre way like the owner. A spaghetti x 2, a fried dish x 2, 3 sorbets….paid FULL MENU FOR €3.90 making me pay for a complete menu even for a 7 year old girl who took two tufts of pasta from our plate. Spaghetti and fried food as good as in other restaurants in the area. We will not return…to the owner's delight.

11/06/2025: On the way back from Vieste we decided, near Pedaso, to exit the highway for lunch, restaurant found on the internet, the Faro restaurant on the sea, staff and professional, exceptional food, large portions.

31/05/2025: Non aspettatevi un locale lussuoso, con bicchieri e posate cambiati ad ogni portata o un cameriere che versa vino nei vs bicchieri appena si vuotano.
Però si può trovare cortesia, dei piatti semplici,abbondanti e gustosi, dei prezzi equi. Siamo venuti due sere consecutive e siamo rimasti soddisfatti entrambe le volte.
Ottimi i primi piatti, le cozze ed il fritto ; non eccezzionale l' insalata di mare.
29/05/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale per la fama dei ravioli di Italo. Aspettativa all'altezza delle aspettative. È una trattoria, non un locale chic, ma ci torneremo.

06/09/2024: Posto che all'inizio sembra ok ma con il tempo ti rendi conto dello squallore del locale la falsità del proprietario il menù sempre uguale, pesce super congelato e anche di cattiva qualità, con gli antipasti sono stata male una settimana
02/09/2024: Servizio curato e preciso, c erano solo il Capo e la Figlia eppure le sale sono state servite in modo impeccabile. Le cozze buonissime, materie prime Freschissime e di prima qualità. La Carbonara di pesce, il fritto , l antipasto, niente da eccepire. La cameriera sempre sorridente e Marco sa metterti a proprio agio e farti sentire subito a casa... Cosa aspettate? Prenotate al Matepaya!!!! Ci abbiamo messo molto a trovare un tavolo e già qui ho capito che sarei stata benissimo! Ottimo connubio gusto e qualità 💛

24/07/2023: A hidden gem in a lovely building in the old part of Pedaso next to the Villa Ricci hotel. The food is freshly prepared and local. We enjoyed meats and cheese of very high quality, an incredible caponata followed by a Amatriciana pasta and finally a slowed cooked chicken with roast potatoes and salad. It was one of the best meals during our stay this year. The price and quality are exceptional. Staff are lovely there is a large choice of wine in a beautiful cellar. Inside, it is beautifully air conditioned and the outside terrace is lovely too. English is spoken if needed. A must visit. We are going back before we leave!
