20/08/2025: We went on a safe bet, having been there several times before, but unfortunately we noticed a marked decline in the quality of the dishes. Potato rosti were actually mashed boiled potatoes, burnt bacon and cheese, and an overcooked egg. The fried gnocchi were cold, the cured meats were so-so, and the swordfish burger was forgettable. A negative experience.

06/09/2025: The service was only moderately friendly. The mushrooms in the pizza (calzone) were obviously canned. I don't know if that's common in Italy, but I would have expected fresh mushrooms. The service charge was reasonable, and the atmosphere with the racing bikes was great.

03/09/2025: Hello, We are currently at the hotel. Great location, extraordinary view, exceptional and wonderfully maintained gardens.... however this hotel has a renowned restaurant and this evening it was impossible to park our car. Everything was full with the restaurant, unacceptable...... This afternoon I asked for 1 glass of wine for the room, impossible because there is no bar. Everything is reserved for the restaurant. The person kindly offered to bring it to me outside the restaurant.... I am still waiting. Let's not talk about the breakfast, white and gray sandwich bread, small croissant, yogurt and scrambled eggs (very good by the way) but all this is not worthy of a hotel with such a reputation for its restaurant. Mixed results for this hotel which could nevertheless excel if less focused on its restaurant.

21/09/2025: Home cooking with quality ingredients. The legendary Brigida (owner and cook) truly knows how to live the life of a traditional innkeeper. So, in addition to her divine cooking, she also manages to entertain and delight her guests with stories and tales! 👏💪 Highly recommended!

16/09/2025: The food was not so overwhelming! The perch fillet was fried and quite bland. The only reason to visit, is the old couple who run it and they give you a bit of an italian experience.

13/09/2025: They recently renovated the restaurant and menu. There's plenty of seating available, on the covered veranda (the windows open in the summer to let in the cool breeze), inside, and two other smaller rooms. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Service is fast, aided by the presence of tablets. You can also recently download the app to reserve your nearest Amy Sushi. You can also create a loyalty card and earn points every time you dine, based on your spending. The one in Laveno is highly recommended, also due to its location on the lake. So a post-lunch or post-dinner walk is a must, in any season! ☺️
