Well-kept and warm family environment, the food was 10 out of 10 and all the ingredients were top-quality and everything was from our country.

Passing through Laveno and returning to the Aosta Valley, we stopped for lunch at Calianna, even though we weren't familiar with it. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the location, and the genuine friendliness of the chef/owner. The saffron risotto with ossobuco was probably the best I've ever eaten in my 62 years. Highly recommended, and a must-visit when we miss the wonders of Lake Maggiore.

A pleasant surprise! We arrived at 1:30 PM and asked if we could have lunch. We were told: "Welcome, sit wherever you like." Kindness is the order of the day. Seasonal cuisine allows you to sample fresh and delicious dishes. If you see the Neapolitan Pastiera on the menu, try it; it's out of this world.

An unplanned outing turned into a pleasant day in Laveno Mombello. While trying to park, we stumbled upon this restaurant and, given the time, decided to go in. The restaurant isn't modern; you feel like you're walking into your grandmother's dining room, but the dishes are exceptional. Prepared with care and love. Given the low season and the unpredictable weather, the restaurant was unfortunately empty, but we enjoyed a delicious, uncluttered lunch. I'd like to thank the two owners for letting us experience the warmth and commitment of those who work with heart and professionalism. Congratulations again for your dishes; we'll long remember your gnocchi and maltagliati. We'll definitely be back just to eat at your place.

Good morning, arriving from a weekend in Domodossola, we searched on Google for lunch in Laveno Mombello. Looking at reviews of the Locanda Calianna we decided to stop. Mrs. Brigida and her husband are very nice, kind, helpful people, excellent hospitality. The menu has a lot of choice, our lunch was excellent and quality, the prices fair. The welcome was incredibly friendly and empathetic. The food and service were excellent. The prices were reasonable.

It was truly a pleasure. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something similar. I'll definitely be back.
