What a shame
22/09/2025: Valtellina cuisine isn't suited to Mediterranean stomachs. The venison was well-cooked, the wine drinkable, the service friendly, and the pine forest all around. Aurelio, the innkeeper, even lent us the key to Don Guanella's house, now a museum, so we could visit. Very kind people, a wonderful experience. It's a shame it will all be over in a few days...

12/03/2026: It's very unassuming from the outside. You enter the restaurant via stairs to a former basement. The music is our 80s, Rod Stewart, California, etc.
Fantastic atmosphere - 5.
The service is friendly, attentive, and patient with those who don't speak Italian - 5.
The dishes are out of this world. My wife ordered the pumpkin soup with chestnuts, an incredible experience and fantastic flavors.
I had the capriciosa pizza. We've been wandering around Italy for a while, from Sicily to Lombardy, but I've never had pizza like this anywhere. Something fantastic - 5.
We're coming here tomorrow for the rooster.
28/02/2026: Typical local restaurant. The place is very rustic and charming. It's located in the basement, but the lack of windows isn't a problem because the place is very welcoming. The food is very good, and the service is quick and friendly. Prices are fair! Reservations are recommended...
They also have car seats for small children. Parking is convenient and right in front of the restaurant. There's only a flight of steps leading down to the restaurant, which might be a bit inconvenient for strollers.
Recommended; we'll be back when we're in town!

14/09/2025: Roberto is incredibly cool, it's a pleasure to listen to his explanations about herbs and their world, truly bitter, in the sense of the quality of the botanicals, a small but clean and welcoming place, I will definitely be back to get two bottles, the herbal tea is highly recommended☕

10/02/2026: Very Alpine and characteristic atmosphere. Service from the exceptional waitress, very good, kind and courteous. Food was good and plentiful. It's a shame about the very brusque and annoyed welcome given that we had an extra child and therefore created problems, as the owner said. An extra seat is a problem and then we're talking about Genoese hospitality.... prices are normal.

The staff were incredibly friendly. The blueberry ice cream was truly excellent. A charming place, surrounded by greenery!

04/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve here. Everything was great, some excellent dishes, especially the risotto with red cabbage and hazelnuts, mandarin sorbet, and beef tartare. The atmosphere was intimate, simple, and family-friendly, perfect for those seeking tranquility.

13/12/2025: After the change in weather, I was super happy to snag a spot here 😄 It's more of a campsite than a parking area – but perfect for motorcyclists: the pizza is amazing, the beer even better! 🍕🍺 Highly recommended if you can get a spot!

16/10/2025: We always come here on our way over the Splügen Pass, and this restaurant has become a must-stop. Our Italian is limited to Italian dish names, but the service has always been excellent. The food is truly delicious, and the prices are fair. We'd love to go back!

17/08/2025: Nice place to grab a drink. On busy days, the service isn't great. With almost all the tables full, the service was nonexistent; we found a table by ourselves, went to the bar to get drinks, and the table we were sitting at wasn't cleaned.
13/08/2025: Returned after about 3 years for a family breakfast. Much improved. Congratulations!

13/08/2025: We found it by chance for a lunch break during a motorcycle tour in the Alps.
And we stumbled upon a cozy bar where simplicity still combines with authenticity and quality...we had a sandwich, but one of those tasty and rich ones.
Just what you look for when you need a bite to eat between hairpin bends.
The food and service at the counter are spectacular.
Highly recommended.
