What a shame
22/09/2025: Valtellina cuisine isn't suited to Mediterranean stomachs. The venison was well-cooked, the wine drinkable, the service friendly, and the pine forest all around. Aurelio, the innkeeper, even lent us the key to Don Guanella's house, now a museum, so we could visit. Very kind people, a wonderful experience. It's a shame it will all be over in a few days...

15/08/2026: The place is truly lovely, and the staff was kind and welcoming from the start. I also have nothing to complain about the food: I admit, everything is very good and well-cooked. The real weak point, unfortunately, is the quality-price ratio. The portions are decidedly small compared to the cost of the dishes. Paying more than €20 for a half chicken or just 5 or 6 pieces of ribs seemed excessive, as did the €18 per person for an appetizer for four people, which was decidedly poor. A real shame, because the quality of the food is good, but the prices are too high for the quantities served.
In any case, recommended and dog-friendly.

I'll just point out that I was served on a €3 paper napkin, not even a placemat.
The other diners were served on placemats.
The food was edible, but the portions were very small.
The pizza was barely edible.
Not to mention their filtered and sparkling water, which costs €3.50 per liter.
I'll never go back.

The aunt should be fired immediately and is rude. She made two people wait for a full 20 minutes when they had free tables.
The service was friendly, but slow and inattentive. 🤷🏼♂️

14/07/2026: It's a very nice place. For two summers, my partner and I stayed at the campsite, staying in a truly unique wood-paneled room with a window overlooking the mountains. The place is charming and quiet, popular with tourists and mountain lovers. The manager, Damian, and his father before him, is a very nice guy, always looking for activities to entertain his guests. The bar and restaurant are always open...the food is amazing! Recommended for short breaks or longer stays...but don't be fooled by all the flags displayed outside...for him, there's only one flag: Argentina!!!
10/07/2026: I've always stayed in a tent, but the welcome, friendliness, and helpfulness of the people who run this campsite always leaves me speechless. We left blankets and pillows at home, and they lent them to us without batting an eyelid and without charging us anything for the "rental."

31/08/2026: Terrible experience, I took my daughter with a friend of hers to play in their tub, my daughter fell into the tub and almost hit her head on the edge of the tub, this tub is not safe, absolutely not at all. , but even the sand should be taken care of, at most they should change it every now and then, we have the second home in Campodolcino and after this episode we were very upset and worried, because it is absolutely not right to leave a tub like this without any protection and care, the children can really get hurt, it is true that one thinks about making money but it is also true that safety comes first, after everything else
24/08/2026: One of my favorite places: in a beautiful playground, delicious sandwiches, quality platters, ice creams with delicious berries, very kind staff and energy. A guarantee.

28/06/2026: The staff is very young and may seem inexperienced, but the sports center bar remains a point of reference for an aperitif or a break during the days in Campodolcino.
