09/11/2025: If you find yourself in the area around charming San Colombano, you absolutely must stop at Trattoria Carelli! A genuine trattoria with simple, delicious dishes, delicious cured meats, and an amazing caseula! Prices are more than fair, and the owner and staff are friendly and approachable. It'll be a great excuse to return to the area!

15/10/2025: We felt welcomed and had a wonderful meal. It's a down-to-earth place, but in the best possible sense of the word. A wide selection of dishes to suit every need (from salads and sandwiches to risottos and roasts), all very good, and the staff were truly friendly. If I were in the area again, I'd definitely return!

14/09/2025: A welcome return to this little spot just a short distance from the castle. The menu features daily specials but offers a good selection, almost always three first courses and three second courses. The dishes and pies (tarts) are homemade. I had pasta with ragù and beans, and you could tell the pasta was homemade, as was the ragù, hand-made. San Colombano wine, of course. It's a frugal alternative to a traditional restaurant. Since it's primarily a takeout place, service is with paper plates and plastic cups, which you may or may not like, but by law they're not allowed to do otherwise.

27/04/2025: L' aperitivo da Gelatomania è stato il degno coronamento di una bella giornata trascorsa al castello di Chignolo Po. Devo dire che l'idea di concludere una visita ricca di storia e bellezza con un momento di convivialità e gusto come quello offerto da Gelatomania è stata davvero azzeccata. Il fatto che abbiano pensato anche ai nostri amici celiaci è stato davvero un bel gesto. Non è sempre scontato trovare locali così attenti, e poter condividere un aperitivo in serenità, senza che nessuno si senta escluso, ha reso l'esperienza ancora più speciale. Un bel punto a favore di Gelatomania! Grazie

03/08/2025: Places close to my heart. I grew up in this restaurant. It's a piece of my heart and my childhood. Sentimentality aside, it's still the best pizza I've ever eaten. A must...the pan toast. One shame: they don't do home delivery.

28/07/2025: I understand why they moved, considering the city has been working on the roads for two years... Ancient Romans would have fled. But they just opened the new place. I arrive at 2:10 PM and first order a kebab, but less than a minute later I change my mind and want to ask for a pizza. But it's technically impossible for a human being over 25 to read the writing. It looks like little books from the "Divine Comedy" all on a single piece of paper. Anyway, I ask if he has a piece of paper I can read. He mutters and throws things under the counter... then asks if I want something or not because he has to mop the floor (all this in the two minutes since I walked in). This one's open non-stop until 1 AM... If he wants to mop... I didn't stop him... He can mop and maybe he'll sell something between mops. Who knows. We'll see how long they stay where they are... Traders should be...
