24/12/2024: We had lunch in the "bubble"... a spherical tensile structure with transparent walls. The atmosphere inside is also excellent. Excellent and adequately fast service. Original dishes and excellent both in taste and in plating. Paccheri with venison ragù with berries, grilled octopus on a bed of pumpkin cream, buckwheat cake and raspberry ice cream. Fair price for the overall quality. Recommended.

22/12/2024: Excellent interpretation of the local cuisine, adding a touch of sophistication to traditional recipes (mainly based on fresh lake fish). The service was wonderful and our hosts spoke impeccable English. We enjoyed the romantic view by the lake while feeling cuddled by the delightful food and the warmest service. As a local who has now been living abroad for about 8 years, I highly recommend this place to any tourist who’s curious to explore authentic recipes from our territory and indulge in the dream-like view of The Lake. ♥️ Grazie!

23/08/2024: Very disappointing experience, plastic tables and chairs, white lights that were so strong it was hard to see any view, we would’ve turned away but we did want to try the food seeing the good reviews but it was just another disappointment.. the service was pretty nice, I would maybe go there for a drink in day time

16/09/2024: I have been going to this pastry shop for 30 years, my parents made my baptism cake here and I bought my 30th birthday cake here. Excellent, fresh products, exceptional cream. Both the owner and everyone behind the counter are super friendly. Which is no small feat, excellent value for money. It's not in the town center, but it's absolutely worth it!!!

03/11/2024: A noi è piaciuto. Un tagliere di salumi e formaggi, tagliolini ai mirtilli con ragù di cervo e un risotto al sassello con fonduta di formaggio e due calici di vino. Prezzo nella norma, personale gentile (ci hanno accolto nonostante fosse tardi e non avessimo prenotato) e bellissima location fronte lago. Attenzione al parcheggio vicino, sulla curva per entrare c’è un marciapiede alto che abbiamo preso in pieno (e non solo noi).

We left the chef free to choose with the 8-course menu, the result: great quality, variety and attention to detail. Obviously also super full.

25/11/2023: Sicuramente la cucina è degna di nota…alcuni piatti emergono su altri ma nessuno negativo…il servizio è cordiale e accorto…la maîtresse è sola e si deve occupare sia del consiglio del vino, che dell’accoglienza, che del servizio e spiegazioni piatti in sala. Il mio modesto consiglio da esperto del settore è di inserire una persona esperta di vino che possa aiutare la maîtresse durante la serata soprattutto quando il ristorante è pieno, visto la qualità e le aspettative richieste. Carta vino sicuramente da rivedere perché non in linea con la qualità del locale e della cucina. Chi ama il vino come me si aspetta in questa tipologia di ristoranti gourmet di ritrovare etichette ricercate e anche qualche vecchia annata e non solo poche bottiglie e commerciali. Aiuterebbe la voglia di ritornarci. Lascio comunque 5 stelle perché la serata è stata molto gradevole e non mi piace denigrare chi si impegna nel nostro settore.

20/05/2024: Small refuge among the Grigne peaks. Very beautiful panorama of the Sasso Cavallo, the Sasso dei Carbonari, and the Val Meria up to the lake. The path to get there from Rongio (Mandello) is always clear, but with a good slope for a long stretch. 02/05/2024: Everything you expect from a refuge experience
I stayed at the Elisa on a Saturday in early April, the manager (Elena) was very kind and even though I had given her a few hours' notice she didn't let me miss anything. I recommend that you always give notice in advance of any desire to stay overnight in the refuge, to allow the manager to organize the supplies (here the supplies are transported by helicopter or carried on the shoulders).
The shelter is well looked after, the dormitory clean, the food excellent as are the people I found.
