A challenging climb for someone like me who isn't trained, but it was totally worth it. The refuge is a breathtaking gem, both for the care and for the peace and quiet and the view. Elena was super kind, welcoming, and smiling. Considering she does everything herself, I really appreciate it. For convenience, I recommend letting us know if you're going up for both lunches and overnight stays. The food is excellent, and all the dishes are authentic. A 10 for the effort and simplicity.
Fantastic. Elena and Simone were super welcoming. Two friends and I made the climb using the "pertica." The effort was worth it: magnificent views and moments of true connection.
We stayed at Rifugio Elisa for a night and had the best time! Even though it is not tipically open during the week Elena came and opened it just for us. We were so touched! She cooked us a delicious evening meal and breakfast and helped us plan our hike the next day. She is such a great host and an amazing person. It's such a cute rustic rifugio with a fascinating history, and the views are breathtaking. Thank you so much Elena!
Fantastic little refuge. As soon as I arrived, my first feeling was total relaxation, away from it all. I didn't want to go home. Climbing 1,100 meters of altitude is truly worth it.
The food is delicious. I had pizzoccheri and apple pie made by Elena. She's a fantastic cook, thank you so much.
A small pearl of the Grigna, nestled at the foot of Sasso Cavallo, Sasso di Sengg, and Carbonari.
An excellent base for repeating the pure, satisfying climbing routes on the rocks just mentioned. The view from the refuge is also superb, and above all, the legendary Elena, who with strength and tenacity manages to master this little gem.
