13/07/2024: Quando ho visto che non c’erano gelati esposti in bella vista ma ognuno racchiuso nel proprio scrigno (pozzetto in acciaio), ho capito che il gelato era buono. Questo segno non sbaglia mai: dalla Sicilia alla Toscana alla Campania al Lazio… e adesso anche in Lombardia! Ottimo anche il ghiacciolo.

All topped off with an excellent price/quality ratio! The icing on the cake? The landlady, Sara, is a fantastic person... I felt at home: pampered and part of the family! 02/01/2025: I truly hope this restaurant reopens soon. It’s not just any restaurant – it’s the place where so many memories of my childhood were made, and even the childhoods of my mother. Whenever friends visit us at Lake Como, this is the spot they always want to go to. It’s the most nostalgic and cherished place for all of us. The thought of not being able to go there anymore genuinely breaks my heart. It’s a family-run gem, and the food has always been fantastic. It’s irreplaceable.

02/12/2024: We reserved for a family lunch: nice place but in the winter season the restaurant is very cold. Staff is not warm indifferent, The dishes are well served but nothing extraordinary from a 3 star I expected much more.

04/12/2024: Siamo ritornati alla Locanda dopo il cambio di gestione ma abbiamo ritrovato la qualità di sempre. Rimane un ristorante ( tra i pochi ) dove si mangia ancora bene con piatti particolari e molto curati. L’ambiente è raccolto, intimo e piacevole. Il servizio non è impeccabile ma non rovina un’esperienza comunque piacevole. Il conto è assolutamente onesto ( noi abbiamo speso 55€ a testa ) giusto per un ristorante con piatti non convenzionali.

03/01/2025: Unfortunately today 3 January 2025 our experience at Kanto was not as always... Unfortunately the staff and the orders were really slow, we arrived at 12.45pm and we started eating more than an hour later... I understand that there may be an influx of customers but it doesn't seem very fair to me to wait so long... Unfortunately the food wasn't the best either... The tuna was not at all inviting with a faded color and a not at all good flavour, the salmon had strange green streaks and strange spots (never seen in all these years that I've been going to Kanto) the soup nauseating tasting miso. (unfortunately I don't have any photos to attach). Plus they brought us unsolicited dishes several times! I only ask you to be more careful about these things! I hope it's just a little post-holiday imbalance🙏🏻. I'll try again next time!
