09/06/2026: We visited this place for an aperitivo. During our stay, by pure accident, one of us, while sitting at a table chatting, accidentally knocked over a (nearly empty) glass of Spritz, which unfortunately broke. Since it wasn't intentional and because we're civilized people, we immediately began cleaning the table and picking up the broken glass with our tissues. We called the waitress to apologize and let her know what had happened. The waitress, who hadn't been particularly friendly from the start, not only looked visibly annoyed, but also didn't offer us a rag or tell us to leave it alone. Meanwhile, we continued cleaning in front of her, who said nothing. Shortly thereafter, she sent us to the owner of the place to discuss the incident. Although the person who made the mistake was clearly sorry and sincerely apologized, the owner, in a less than courteous manner, demanded payment for the damage: a whopping six euros for a glass of bar wine. We paid without a fuss and left, but the reaction of the staff and management was quite cold, rude, and unprofessional. In any establishment, accidentally breaking a glass is a business risk, especially if the customer is polite and courteous and even cleans the table. Courtesy should be the top priority, especially when faced with an honest and spontaneous confession. Demanding that money after we'd even cleaned the table ourselves... losing customers for six euros is a terrible business move. Obviously, we'll never return.
