05/08/2025: Ended up here after the market (Tuesdays only). Locals come here for a glass of wine or lunch. We had a wonderful meal here, a lovely quiet street, cozy and cool thanks to the location, honest and delicious food. Two wines (small glasses) for €2.60... simply delicious!!!
Definitely recommended for honest, simple Italian food. You get a taste of Italy! 🥰
04/08/2025: A typical restaurant in the heart of Varese Ligure
A very original appetizer that I recommend, consisting of various tarts, crostini, chestnut flour fritters, and cured meats.
I tried the homemade croxetti "au tuccu," whose seasoning was very light (perhaps too light).
A good roast with side dishes, tender and flavorful, all accompanied by an excellent house red wine.

25/08/2025: We stopped a few nights in Varese Ligure and stayed at the historic Albergo Amici. An excellent experience. The atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by, yet offers all the modern comforts. The hotel and restaurant staff are extremely friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and fully equipped. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes, prepared with care and an innovative touch. The breakfast is generous and suitable for everyone. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?
24/08/2025: Clean room. The furnishings were a bit dated. The quick and complete breakfast was excellent, and they serve it early so those traveling don't have to wait.

25/04/2025: Cibo, servizio e location ok, note negative: l'attesa tra il primo e il secondo, ma ad alcuni tavoli è andata decisamente peggio, e secondo me un po' troppo caro, almeno 10€ di troppo a testa...
30/03/2025: Cibo buono...attesa un po' lunga.. ma alla fine al momento del conto la cameriera biondina con coda sbaglia a prendere il foglio della comanda e voleva farci pagare altro ...avvisata che nn era il nostro si è allontanata stizzita dicendo ahh non lo fatto io!!! Ma perché....sbagli tu? Mah ! Ci ritornerò? Non so.

09/06/2024: Cibo buono e curato. Porzioni giuste e prezzo adeguato. Ci dobbiamo tornare con più calma a cena. Vino non provato perchè dovevo guidare. Cortesia e velocità nel servizio.
01/04/2024: Strepitosa la carne, ottimi i ravioli, buono il vino della casa e delizia del palato l'assaggio di dolci fatti dallo chef.

21/07/2025: Nell' insieme positivo, pur con qualche ombra.
Il locale è carino, e molto tranquillo.
Si mangia a menù fisso, al momento a 30,00 euro.
Pulizia e ordine. Non molto affollato.
Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto composto da tre salumi, gonfiotti al formaggio e frittelline di pasta sfoglia, poi insalata russa, bruschetta e baciocca.
Salumi discreti (più buono il salame) baciocca ottima, insalata russa dimenticabile, piena di piselli, anche troppo.
Poi ravioli fatti in casa e buoni, tacchinella al forno con patate buona, macedonia con gelato.
Nei lati negativi:
ho chiesto un bianco fermo e mi è stato portato un Ortrugo mosso, tuttavia non male. La prima bottiglia fredda, le due seguenti non molto.
Poi una prima dimenticanza delle frittelline di pasta sfoglia, che con i salumi sarebbero state perfette.
La tendenza a servire i tavoli senza considerare l'ordine di arrivo.
Dulcis in fundo, la lunghezza del servizio: entrare alle 13 e uscire alle 16 mi sembra eccessivo.
Tutto sommato però, mi sento di assegnare le 5 stelle.
22/02/2025: Abbiamo soggiornato al boschetto 10 giorni e siamo stati molto bene. I titolari sono due persone molto disponibili e gentili abbiamo anche mangiato lì una sera e abbiamo mangiato molto bene. La posizione è strategica se si vuole andare sia in montagna che al mare, ovviamente facendo un po’ di strada.
