23/12/2025: A very nice restaurant with a lovely tavern atmosphere, but with more refined dishes. It goes without saying that the meat is the star here, cooked very well and using premium cuts. As an appetizer, we had a crostone (a slice of bread) split in two, which was quite good, although we expected it to be more flavorful. In any case, the crostone was excellently cooked and presented. Then: - mutton skewers, excellent, well-cooked and beautifully presented, excellent flavor and tender meat. - fillet with porcini mushrooms, good, with tender meat, although the cooking made it slightly stringy. Very kind, cheerful, fast, and never oppressive service: perfect! A very, very interesting place, definitely worth trying.

16/12/2025: We ate at this osteria for the first time, and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful in the historic center of Tarquinia, and the service is excellent, with professional and friendly staff. We ordered the cured meats and cheese platter: delicious!! Then we had two tagliata (sliced ​​steaks): one with caramelized onion and pecorino, and another with rosemary. They were truly delicious and perfectly cooked. As a side, we had two sautéed chicory leaves. The house desserts were also excellent, including tiramisu and torta terra. The house red wine by the glass is highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

02/01/2026: High prices compared to the local average and lack of transparency in communication. Several of us ordered a half chicken with a side dish of our choice for €15. Before ordering, we asked for clarification, and the owner told us we could freely choose a side dish from the menu, clearly implying it was included. When we got the bill, however, a €7 side dish was added for each chicken, something never indicated on the menu. We paid without question, but this approach is misleading and leaves an unpleasant feeling. I've attached a photo of the menu: the words "chicken with herbs and a side dish of your choice" legitimately suggest the side dish is included. Finding out only on the bill that each side dish costs €7 is perplexing, to say the least. It's a real shame, because the atmosphere is beautiful, the waitress was very kind, and the food was good, but we felt cheated.

19/12/2025: We went out for dinner one evening in December. We ordered a wagyu burger, inedible; it wasn't wagyu, it smelled terrible, and it didn't even come with a side dish. €19... The cube roll was as hard as a cobblestone... Very good service.

The restaurant wouldn't take much to achieve greater satisfaction. The rooms are mediocre if you settle for less, which is a shame because they are certainly spacious. 01/03/2026: A mixed experience at this CAPFUN (even though we're used to this chain). The only positive points: - Restaurant with gluten-free options and a fairly good menu. - Grocery store with reasonable prices considering the location. - Spacious bungalow. - Beach access. Now for the negative and disappointing points: - Campsite located in the middle of nowhere (the nearest town is Tarquinia, a 15-20 minute drive away). - No cars allowed (except on arrival and departure days). Okay, that's the rule, and in the end, it's not so bad. However, some vacationers (always the same ones...) disregard the rule and don't hesitate to park their cars for several days in front of your accommodation. The only action taken by the campsite: putting "Don't Park Here" signs under the windshield wipers. - There's a significant security presence, but they don't intervene when there are altercations between vacationers, despite being warned several times. - The pool is overcrowded, with children running everywhere, and the lifeguard is completely overwhelmed, constantly whistling and being ignored. - The beach is open to the public, or rather, to street vendors who harass you trying to sell you AliExpress products. - The entertainment team (an external provider) has only one goal: to get a 5-star rating. Therefore, they only cater to the ratings of the teenagers and don't care about anyone else. Their professionalism leaves much to be desired. - At night, from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., there's a very unpleasant, intermittent, muffled noise (like a large diesel engine in the distance). - Our air conditioning wasn't working. A repairman came, fixed it, and then left without even letting us know. He left all the dirt and debris from the repair in the accommodation, which wasn't great. - Strangers from outside the campsite can come and go as they please. - The garbage management could be criticized, although it seems to be the case pretty much everywhere else in Italy, so I'll remain neutral on that point. - The technical team (meals, bike rental, pool, etc.) is inexperienced (just an 18-year-old kid) and speaks neither French nor English. - The same music is played on a loop all the time, and to please the French, they play Stromae (Papaoutai), a perfect choice for giving you the blues.

24/10/2025: The place has both advantages and disadvantages. Advantages: 1- It’s close to Rome. 2- There’s a large market that has everything you might need. 3. There’s a restaurant with delicious food and reasonable prices. 4. The chalet has a TV, and there’s internet access everywhere. Disadvantages: 1. The sound of insects (cicadas) is extremely annoying throughout the day; they never stop and can cause stress and headaches — though some people might be able to tolerate it. 2. Parking in front of the chalet is not allowed; you must leave your car outside the premises. 3. There are no barbecue tools or grills — you need to bring your own equipment. 4. The animation/entertainment shows aren’t always enjoyable, and the staff are unenthusiastic and don’t interact much. 5. The kitchen isn’t equipped with an oven and doesn’t have all the necessary cooking utensils. 6. The rooms don’t have wardrobes for clothes, only very small spaces for hanging items. 7. The beach isn’t very inviting for swimming — the water is cold, and it’s full of seaweed and driftwood. I do not recommend it and wouldn’t go back, but others might be able to tolerate these issues.
