My partner and I visited Trattoria Le Scalette in Nemi, and we can say without a doubt that it was one of the most pleasant experiences of recent times.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness and professionalism, making us feel immediately at ease. The restaurant is truly quaint, with attention to detail and a warm, family atmosphere that makes lunch even more enjoyable.
The dishes were simply exceptional: top-quality ingredients, generous portions, and authentic, traditional flavors. Each course was carefully prepared, and you could sense the passion the kitchen puts into its offerings. From appetizers to dessert, everything was impeccable, without a single flaw.
The service also deserves a special mention: the staff is always smiling, attentive, and helpful, without ever being intrusive. It's wonderful to find people who work with such passion and make every customer feel at home.
The value for money is truly excellent, and considering the quality of the food and service, it's definitely worth a try.
We thank all the staff for the wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back soon and will happily recommend it to friends and family. If you're looking for a true trattoria where you can enjoy excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a perfect day, Trattoria Le Scalette is a great choice.

If you're looking for a place that perfectly blends extraordinary food, a welcoming atmosphere, and impeccable service, you absolutely must try Le Scalette Nemi.
I was there recently with friends and we were all absolutely blown away.
Here's why I highly recommend it:
The dishes: The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. We ordered pappardelle with wild boar, and it was simply perfect, cooked with a care rarely found elsewhere. The desserts also deserve special mention, all homemade and sublime.
The atmosphere: The restaurant is meticulously designed, intimate yet vibrant. It's perfect for both a romantic dinner and a convivial evening with friends.
The staff: This is the real added value. The staff are incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and always smiling, ready to recommend the perfect wine to pair with your dish without ever being intrusive.
The verdict: Excellent value for the quality of the experience offered. It's now officially on my list of favorite places in the city.
I'll definitely be back, and you should book a table as soon as possible. Trust me!

12/05/2026: I went with my boyfriend for lunch and we had a great time! The restaurant is small but cozy. The food is excellent, especially the house antipasto with special cured meats and cheeses. The wild boar pappardelle and mixed grill were also excellent. The prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly.
We'll be back!

The concept of a "albergo diffuso" (a widespread hotel) was delightfully applied here: the renovated and super-clean accommodation retains features of the original house. The owners' courtesy and attention to detail complete the picture. The accommodation is centrally located, overlooking the enchanting lake, known as Diana's Mirror! We'll be back.
26/05/2026: An excellent experience at the Albergo Diffuso Lo Specchio di Diana. Our accommodation was spacious, with a large, functional bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The double bedroom balcony offers a partial lake view. The location is ideal for exploring Nemi on foot and enjoying the local restaurants. The staff were hospitable and provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing. Ideal for a truly relaxing stay. Paid parking is available along the main road, but it's not always available on the first try. In the evening, we dined at their restaurant, which offered excellent quality food, along with Giada's kindness.

31/03/2026: Unfortunately, it was an experience to forget. The food wasn't bad, at least not what they forgot to bring. The kitchen was completely out of sorts, with dishes forgotten and never brought, and the waiter who served us had inappropriate attitudes and jokes. No comments.
29/03/2026: The waiter was incredibly rude. They didn't bring us part of the food we ordered. Avoid.

14/05/2026: The shop gets its name from its authentic "grottino" (small cave) style structure.
The famous wild strawberries, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Nemi, are a must-try here, the strawberry tart.
The owner of the shop Antonietta (a very nice person) and her team are extraordinary.
It is a must to visit the shop if you are in Nemi. I strongly recommend her products. Strawberry tart @ coffee, DONT MISS THEM

30/06/2026: A lovely and welcoming place; we had lunch on the veranda and appreciated the location. The food was good, but the selection was limited. It's also a shame that the restaurant's location doesn't offer direct access to the lake or the surrounding areas.
06/06/2026: A location with a splendid view of the lake, today we ate well in the well-kept outdoor garden.
Attentive and friendly, they prepared a tasty and carefully prepared meal for us.
Quiet and welcoming, we lingered chatting with friends without anyone rushing us.
Highly recommended, we'll be back!

21/05/2026: The place is beautiful, the waiters were attentive and friendly. We sat outside overlooking the lake, but there are also indoor seats and restrooms. The crepes are delicious, I also recommend the tarts, which even after eating them the next day were as good. The desserts are reasonably priced.
17/05/2026: Expensive, expensive, expensive. Very average quality. Terrible cappuccino (bitter!!) for only €3.00!! Oh well!

The worst restaurant experience I've had so far!
My partner and I, seeing the panoramic room with a lake view, decided to stay for lunch at 1:30 PM after reserving a table.
Unfortunately, we began to see a couple of pseudo-waiters without uniforms, lacking a minimum of courtesy, bordering on arrogance, serving other tables that had arrived after us.
When we complained, we were gestured from afar to stay relaxed because today was Sunday, so there were no rules. 🤔 After more than an hour, the first courses arrived... given the delay, we canceled our order for the second course, but the chef came from the kitchen, threateningly demanding that we accept the second course because it was already being cooked.
At that point, we asked to take back the leftovers of the first courses because we were no longer hungry and also because my partner's carbonara was very salty. You won't believe it, but at this point, one of the pseudo-waiters takes the carbonara plate and, using my partner's fork, stuffs himself with a mouthful, drooling, and declares it's delicious!
I would have reacted differently, but I paid the bill and we left, hoping to meet some traffic policeman to report the experience, but unfortunately, they were probably on their lunch break too.
Anyway, it's a nightmare! These people should be wasting away somewhere else...not in restaurants!

22/06/2025: Ristorante collocato all' interno di un hotel posizionato sulla via dei Laghi. Sala interna elegante e sala esterna più informale. Si mangia sia pizza che carne e anche pesce. Cibo nella norma ma i funghi porcini sono ottimi. Personale gentile. Prezzi onesti.
