08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms. The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables. The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition. Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi. 02/11/2025: Terrible lunch... we ordered a caprese, gnocchi with wild boar, and an amatriciana, plus a lemon veal scallops... what can I say? The gnocchi couldn't be called gnocchi, they tasted awful, the broth was unsightly, and there were some wild boar spittle; the amatriciana was a tomato pasta dish. The lemon veal scallops were made with cream... oh my god, with cream... at least write that on the menu! Terrible experience.

28/10/2025: Today, October 28, 2025, we chose this restaurant to celebrate my 68th birthday. It was a great choice. The atmosphere was beautiful, very comfortable, and the staff were very kind. Chiara, the server, and Giada, the owner, pampered us. We almost felt like family. We ordered 4 pizzas, as shown on the receipt, but they weren't the usual round pizzas; they were long as in the photo. 1 Diavola, 1 Napoli, 1 Boscaiola with porcini mushrooms, and a Pizza Diana. Egg tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were delicious for those who ate them. We also had water and 2 beers, one 66cl Peroni and one 33cl Paulaner, plus the service charge. All served by Miss Chiara. Naturally, we brought the dessert ourselves from the pastry shop, along with the required receipts, as requested. In addition to the pleasant company, we also had the kindness of these two ladies who, when cutting the cake, offered us a bottle of Prosecco to toast and a liqueur of our choice. We paid €81.00 for a pleasant meal. The evening was a fair price in my opinion for what we ate, but the greatest pleasure was having Chiara and Gisda as staff. Thank you for the work you do.

05/11/2025: We were very lucky to book a table for Sunday lunch. The pappardelle with hare was amazing, and they have a huge antipasti platter for two...all game-based, cooked with mountain flavors. Service was quick, with two shifts, and few tables in Nemi have experience.

04/11/2025: The manager was very rude to us. She barely paid attention to us, and even before we sat down, she shouted from a distance that certain dishes were unavailable. She treated tourists unpleasantly, while speaking politely and nicely only to those who spoke Italian. In addition, we asked for a glass of white wine, but she poured us red wine and refused to replace it. And finally, she brought us only three slices of bread (which felt very stingy and insulting), and when we asked for some olive oil and balsamic vinegar with it, she refused. A very disappointing place — I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists, or to anyone in general. It’s sad to write this, but it’s the truth.

08/10/2025: Fantastic location, friendly and professional staff, and superb food. Homemade fettuccine with wild boar is addictive. I've never had a better restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

07/10/2025: A very nice restaurant with a breathtaking lake view terrace. Of course, the most important thing is that the food is very, very good. The fettuccine with porcini mushrooms is delicious, the chicory is second to none, and the grilled pork shoulder is amazing. Special mention goes to the maître d', whose name I don't know, but I must say, he's a character from another era, with a quick wit. Just to enjoy his mimicry and his gestures, this restaurant is worth a visit. Highly recommended.

26/07/2025: Questo locale che ho utilizzato per una festa di laurea risulta molto curato nella location con un bel prato e vista lago,buona la cortesia ed il servizio,meno per il cibo abbastanza ordinario e scontato.

27/05/2025: Abbiamo festeggiato qui la comunione di nostra figlia. Che dire, un sogno! La location la conoscevamo già, ma è stata una piacevole sorpresa anche per tutti gli altri invitati. E il cibo è semplicemente fantastico. Buono, genuino, fresco e del territorio. La torta bella e buonissima, meglio delle pasticcerie! Barbara poi è veramente una persona di una squisitezza unica. Lo consiglio e straconsiglio a tutti.

08/09/2025: The strawberry pie was a hit. The marmalade was also good, but the chestnut honey was really high quality. You might prefer chestnut honey.

22/06/2025: Ristorante collocato all' interno di un hotel posizionato sulla via dei Laghi. Sala interna elegante e sala esterna più informale. Si mangia sia pizza che carne e anche pesce. Cibo nella norma ma i funghi porcini sono ottimi. Personale gentile. Prezzi onesti.

02/06/2025: Abbiamo prenotato in questo hotel per il fine settimana della sagra delle fragole. Era tutto pieno e qui abbiamo trovato posto. Non è comodissimo perché, anche se dista 1 km dal centro di Nemi, andare a piedi è faticoso e pericoloso perché il marciapiede è piccolo ed è in discesa/salita. Sono stati molto carini, la camera grande, con balcone che ha una bella vista peccato però in comune con le altre stanze. Il bagno datato ma pulito. La colazione molto molto buona con tanta scelta e dolci fatti in casa.
