Ristorante Pizzeria " Le Scalette "

07/08/2026: First time at this trattoria in Nemi...and I think it will be the first of many! We had a wonderful meal. Authentic and very tasty cuisine, a typical trattoria atmosphere, very efficient and friendly service. Truly excellent!
19/07/2026: We ate at this small but cozy trattoria last night for the first time, along with my partner and another couple of friends. We stumbled upon it by chance and found the owner, Stefano, to be warm and friendly. He's a fantastic person, but even more fantastic were their exquisite, unique dishes made with excellent ingredients. I felt like I was transported back 40 years, both in terms of the location and the atmosphere created by the owner. We'll be back very soon. From 1 to 10, score 11.

09/08/2026: A terrace overlooking Lake Nemi. Excellent food, we tried several traditional Roman dishes. Despite the scorching day, we enjoyed a light breeze on the open terrace, which made the experience pleasant.
08/08/2026: We dined as a group inside, and honestly, we suffered from the heat because there was no air conditioning. Service was very slow, taking about an hour for the first course to be served in installments to each diner. The food, however, was excellent.

01/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at this property. The concept of a "albergo diffuso" (a widespread hotel) was delightfully applied here: the renovated and super-clean accommodation retains features of the original house. The owners' courtesy and attention to detail complete the picture. The accommodation is centrally located, overlooking the enchanting lake, known as Diana's Mirror! We'll be back.
26/05/2026: An excellent experience at the Albergo Diffuso Lo Specchio di Diana. Our accommodation was spacious, with a large, functional bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The double bedroom balcony offers a partial lake view. The location is ideal for exploring Nemi on foot and enjoying the local restaurants. The staff were hospitable and provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing. Ideal for a truly relaxing stay. Paid parking is available along the main road, but it's not always available on the first try. In the evening, we dined at their restaurant, which offered excellent quality food, along with Giada's kindness.

14/05/2026: The shop gets its name from its authentic "grottino" (small cave) style structure.
The famous wild strawberries, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Nemi, are a must-try here, the strawberry tart.
The owner of the shop Antonietta (a very nice person) and her team are extraordinary.
It is a must to visit the shop if you are in Nemi. I strongly recommend her products. Strawberry tart @ coffee, DONT MISS THEM

12/05/2026: The food is excellent, the portions are just right, and the game is top-quality. The owner is very kind.
12/05/2026: I went with my boyfriend for lunch and we had a great time! The restaurant is small but cozy. The food is excellent, especially the house antipasto with special cured meats and cheeses. The wild boar pappardelle and mixed grill were also excellent. The prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly.
We'll be back!

27/07/2026: The place is wonderful and the girl who served us was very sweet and polite... But the quality and price were terrible. We were two people and we paid €140 for a fettuccia with porcini mushrooms "with completely frozen products both the fettuccine and the porcini mushrooms", a grilled steak, swordfish with olives "also frozen" and two side dishes. (I ate fresh seafood for the same price) Secondly, very important thing: there is no chef, it is always the owner who cooks for you. "Lack of staff" then they have a wood-fired oven but since they don't have a pizza chef, they frozen the pizzas 😔. "Little pizzas, as the girl calls them". Highly not recommended. It's a shame because it's truly a very cute and romantic place.
30/06/2026: A lovely and welcoming place; we had lunch on the veranda and appreciated the location. The food was good, but the selection was limited. It's also a shame that the restaurant's location doesn't offer direct access to the lake or the surrounding areas.

21/05/2026: The place is beautiful, the waiters were attentive and friendly. We sat outside overlooking the lake, but there are also indoor seats and restrooms. The crepes are delicious, I also recommend the tarts, which even after eating them the next day were as good. The desserts are reasonably priced.
17/05/2026: Expensive, expensive, expensive. Very average quality. Terrible cappuccino (bitter!!) for only €3.00!! Oh well!

A spectacular wine and spirits cellar, along with many other excellent and quality products, await. Young and friendly staff. A top-notch experience for me.

27/07/2026: Breakfast on August 26th was poor value for money: three cappuccinos, a croissant, and two slices of tart (pretty to look at, but raw underneath, inedible) cost €15.50.
I've never had such a terrible breakfast.
03/06/2026: Super cute, family-run place, which perhaps makes the service a bit chaotic, but that enhances the visitor experience, in my opinion. Waiting together for the freshly baked croissants to come out of the oven was an experience in itself. The coffee and desserts are also good.

The worst restaurant experience I've had so far!
My partner and I, seeing the panoramic room with a lake view, decided to stay for lunch at 1:30 PM after reserving a table.
Unfortunately, we began to see a couple of pseudo-waiters without uniforms, lacking a minimum of courtesy, bordering on arrogance, serving other tables that had arrived after us.
When we complained, we were gestured from afar to stay relaxed because today was Sunday, so there were no rules. 🤔 After more than an hour, the first courses arrived... given the delay, we canceled our order for the second course, but the chef came from the kitchen, threateningly demanding that we accept the second course because it was already being cooked.
At that point, we asked to take back the leftovers of the first courses because we were no longer hungry and also because my partner's carbonara was very salty. You won't believe it, but at this point, one of the pseudo-waiters takes the carbonara plate and, using my partner's fork, stuffs himself with a mouthful, drooling, and declares it's delicious!
I would have reacted differently, but I paid the bill and we left, hoping to meet some traffic policeman to report the experience, but unfortunately, they were probably on their lunch break too.
Anyway, it's a nightmare! These people should be wasting away somewhere else...not in restaurants!

22/06/2025: Ristorante collocato all' interno di un hotel posizionato sulla via dei Laghi. Sala interna elegante e sala esterna più informale. Si mangia sia pizza che carne e anche pesce. Cibo nella norma ma i funghi porcini sono ottimi. Personale gentile. Prezzi onesti.
