08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms. The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables. The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition. Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi. 05/11/2025: We were very lucky to book a table for Sunday lunch. The pappardelle with hare was amazing, and they have a huge antipasti platter for two...all game-based, cooked with mountain flavors. Service was quick, with two shifts, and few tables in Nemi have experience.

04/11/2025: The manager was very rude to us. She barely paid attention to us, and even before we sat down, she shouted from a distance that certain dishes were unavailable. She treated tourists unpleasantly, while speaking politely and nicely only to those who spoke Italian. In addition, we asked for a glass of white wine, but she poured us red wine and refused to replace it. And finally, she brought us only three slices of bread (which felt very stingy and insulting), and when we asked for some olive oil and balsamic vinegar with it, she refused. A very disappointing place — I wouldn’t recommend it to tourists, or to anyone in general. It’s sad to write this, but it’s the truth.

18/11/2025: I ate here for the first time – a strawberry tart – and it was awful! The pastry was crumbly and soggy! The view is unusable!!! Instead, you just see houses... It's meant to be nice, but no thanks!!! I hope it changes! It's just not done right! On the plus side, the food arrived quickly, which is the only positive thing here...

02/11/2025: Terrible lunch... we ordered a caprese, gnocchi with wild boar, and an amatriciana, plus a lemon veal scallops... what can I say? The gnocchi couldn't be called gnocchi, they tasted awful, the broth was unsightly, and there were some wild boar spittle; the amatriciana was a tomato pasta dish. The lemon veal scallops were made with cream... oh my god, with cream... at least write that on the menu! Terrible experience.

04/12/2025: We were drawn to the charming location, a heated room with a fireplace and a beautiful view. Even the Christmas decorations were impressive. Unfortunately, the waiter's service didn't reflect the atmosphere, as we felt patronized. I found two hairs on two different plates, and my boyfriend found a spider in the bread basket. I also noticed dust on my plate as soon as we sat down, a sign of general disrepair. The home cooking was good, but heavy, with lots of oil, garlic, and butter. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms wasn't easy to digest. The housekeeper was kind and friendly.

02/12/2025: The service was top-notch; they even found us a seat without a reservation. The atmosphere was pleasant. The menu was distinctive.

26/07/2025: Questo locale che ho utilizzato per una festa di laurea risulta molto curato nella location con un bel prato e vista lago,buona la cortesia ed il servizio,meno per il cibo abbastanza ordinario e scontato.

27/05/2025: Abbiamo festeggiato qui la comunione di nostra figlia. Che dire, un sogno! La location la conoscevamo già, ma è stata una piacevole sorpresa anche per tutti gli altri invitati. E il cibo è semplicemente fantastico. Buono, genuino, fresco e del territorio. La torta bella e buonissima, meglio delle pasticcerie! Barbara poi è veramente una persona di una squisitezza unica. Lo consiglio e straconsiglio a tutti.
