The shop gets its name from its authentic "grottino" (small cave) style structure. The famous wild strawberries, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Nemi, are a must-try here, the strawberry tart. The owner of the shop Antonietta (a very nice person) and her team are extraordinary. It is a must to visit the shop if you are in Nemi. I strongly recommend her products. Strawberry tart @ coffee, DONT MISS THEM

The best breakfast in Nemi! Having breakfast in a cave is an incredible experience. The cappuccino was perfect, and the cakes were incredibly fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the staff were incredibly kind. ​As a tour guide, I've tried the cakes at almost every place in the village, and these are definitely the best! I highly recommend it. Try it once, and you'll never want to go back to the nearby cafés.

This is one of the few places open (in the morning) while exploring Nemi Village. You can enjoy a strawberry tart and coffee at the tables in front of it while strolling around. The strawberry tart costs 2.5 euros. The only thing I deducted a point for is that they don't accept credit cards for amounts under ten euros.

03/05/2026: We ate à la carte; we can't comment on the buffet. The food was excellent! Delicious, authentic, and fresh. The drinks selection was good, the wine was very good, and of course, Peroni—one of the few Italian beers you can actually drink. The service was very friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. We ate there three times and were extremely satisfied each time.
03/05/2026: The place you don't expect in Rome! It has a very well-maintained outdoor area, a small dining room, and a larger one. The buffet is very well priced for these times, but it's a shame it's all about carbs.
