15/05/2026: New review in May 2026. Excellent food, and the pizza is good again. Congratulations, I can finally give you a good review. Unlike a year ago, the pizza has become inedible. And the problem is the mozzarella, completely acidic. We visited three times remotely to see if these were just isolated incidents or if the problem was our taste, but we felt sick all three times. We will never eat or order pizza at this restaurant again.

15/02/2026: Friendly and welcoming, we ate excellent first and second courses of fish... it felt like we were on the docks of Lampedusa, but upon opening our eyes, we realized we were in Campagnano. What more can I say? Absolutely not to be missed.

23/01/2026: We searched for a last-minute restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday with our family (and our children). We found this place on The Fork, located in the historic center of Campagnano di Roma, and we went there at 8:00 PM. There were only two customers inside, but that was understandable given it was a weekday evening. We sat at a table for four, a bit cramped (with the place empty, the space could have been better managed). We were offered the "menus," specifically separate sheets of paper inserted in transparent folders: not easy to consult, impractical, and definitely in poor taste. At first glance, we immediately noticed the prices, decidedly above average considering the location (the place is decorated in a haphazard manner, with no clear style and decidedly cheap furnishings), not to mention the heating: they used a gas heater, placed behind us, the kind used to heat basements. Not to mention the background music playlist, which ranged from Venditti (which I loved), to trap music (which I found terrifying, but that's a matter of taste), and even to Metallica ("Nothing Else Matters"), which I also loved, but lacked any logical thread. Confident (even though the first doubts were starting to arise), we ordered: two mixed seafood platters (30 euros each, total 60 euros), a mixed grill of fish (30 euros), a tuna steak (22 euros), spaghetti with clams, and seafood pasta (I don't remember the price, but I think it was just under 20 euros). To drink, we ordered water and a bottle of Falanghina for 20 euros (unknown winery and low quality). Wait time: about 10 minutes for the seafood appetizers, which we discovered consisted of chickpea puree with two prawns (thawed), bruschetta with tomato and anchovies in oil, a small portion of octopus salad, and a small "coccio" with n. 2 (!) baby octopus (remember: 30 euros per dish). Definitely expensive, but the quality is adequate. Then we get to the first and second courses: my wife had grilled fish, I had tuna steak, the boys had spaghetti with clams and seafood pasta. The grill was truly improvised, with products clearly defrosted and not fresh; the tuna steak was average; the clam pasta was adequate, and the seafood pasta was decidedly below average. Now we get to the bill, which is why I'm writing this today. The receipt presented to us: just over 180 euros, with a 20% discount on The Fork. And here's the best part: as another patron of the restaurant already pointed out, the owner, before paying, says to me: "What are you doing, points with The Fork? Can I cancel your reservation? I'll give you the discount anyway..." Caught off guard and especially eager to get home, I agree and we leave. We left the restaurant definitely disappointed: for that price, I could have easily gone to the "Le Due Lune" restaurant in the Cesano area, which offers consistently fresh fish and top-notch service, and probably spent the same amount. The only thing that cheers me up is the company and the fact that it was my wife's birthday. Of course, I'm not saying the food was dive-worthy, but for €180, I expected a very different experience. Furthermore, without trying to teach anyone my trade, I know how to eat well, and I'm amazed by the positive reviews I find around, not just for this restaurant but also for others, which consistently disappoint me. I've lived in Formello for three years, but in Rome for 42: at that price, you can afford much higher-quality restaurants. I realize that running a restaurant is expensive, but a good restaurateur should always balance the price with the service offered and essential factors like location and position. When dishes are offered at these prices, you're not just paying for the food, but also for the entire setting and service. If you can't offer an experience consistent with the prices charged, something's wrong. I expect a harsh response from the owner, but I hope this review can offer some ideas for improvement. 19/05/2026: Stay away from crowded days, such as weekends when the village market is held. The service is terrible when the restaurant is busy. Although the dining room staff is friendly, the owner is unfortunately very rude, especially if, after an interminable wait with a 3-year-old child and an 85-year-old mother, you ask for the bill because after an hour and a half only one appetizer has arrived. Customers should be valued; here they are treated poorly.
