26/05/2026: The food and atmosphere were good, but unfortunately the service felt cold and unfriendly. I understand this place probably sees many tourists every day, and I have no hard feelings, but a warmer attitude and a simple smile can really change the customer experience. I’m writing this with respect and hope it’s taken constructively. I usually don’t mind cultural differences in service, but the older lady’s attitude at the bar felt unnecessarily cold distant and super unfriendly (after 3 days being frequent at the bar) especially considering I tipped super well.

05/06/2026: Я еще нахожусь в отеле. У меня был странный номер ( как я думала сначала) : одноместный, без балкона, с одним окном в санузле. Я долго думала, соглашаться или нет. Что это за номер без окна в комнате. Но все оказалось не так страшно, а даже понравилось! Номер небольшой, но все необходимое есть: холодильник, кондиционер, шкаф, вентилятор, телевизор, фен, стол. Мне хватило! Номер уютный, чистый, новая сантехника, душевая кабина. Все миленько и приятно! Убирают и меняют полотенца, постель ежедневно и качественно! Месторасположение классное: на улице, где находятся все магазины и кафе, до моря 3 минуты. На пляже все культурно: души, туалеты. Отдельно хочу рассказать о питании: вкусно, сытно, большой выбор продуктов, ресторанная подача. Мне понравился и сам город: тенистые улицы, которые благоухают цветами, множество магазинов и супермаркетов. Я влюбилась, жалко расставаться. But now I know where I want to come again and again!

27/03/2026: This hotel is home to me. We've been coming here every summer for at least a week for years. It's a great family-run hotel. They're very kind and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, the welcome is excellent, and the location is excellent. I recommend this hotel as a relaxing place to spend a holiday, a weekend, as a couple or family. They also accept dogs. My favourite place.

27/04/2026: The place is practically deserted, the drinks are almost all non-alcoholic and it is never empty after 11pm. Absolute disappointment.

05/01/2026: Friendly and helpful staff. Clean place. We had lunch and the food was good. Service was quick. It's a shame we were at a table near the door, and I was cold because the door was constantly being opened due to the crowds.

17/05/2026: I'm a teacher passing through Bergamo for a supply job, and since I discovered this bar, I've been thrilled to have discovered this business, where courtesy, professionalism, and quality are Startup's hallmarks. I recommend it because the warm welcome makes you feel at home. Final rating: 30 with honors.

05/06/2026: A terrible experience, to say the least. I ordered sea bass with steamed vegetables, but the waiter told me to ask the kitchen if it was available. Two minutes later, I was told no, so I decided to order pasta with asparagus and pancetta. Everything else at the table arrived except mine. While everyone else had finished eating, half an hour later, we asked what had happened to my dish and were told it was on its way. Another 15 minutes passed, so I told the waiter he couldn't bring it to me, but he told me it would be out in two minutes. We waited another 15 minutes and then decided to get up and leave. The dish arrived, and I politely asked him to put it away so I could take it home. I didn't even receive an apology or a discount after the incident. At least they didn't charge me €1 for takeout. Terrible.

05/05/2026: I went for dinner last week. There were eight of us, including a young man with lactose intolerance, who immediately informed the waiter of the situation. He was confirmed that a pizza with rice mozzarella was available, which he ordered. After an hour or so of waiting, we received the pizzas, and the man immediately noticed that the mozzarella on his pizza wasn't rice mozzarella. After a few complaints and confirmation that it was indeed rice mozzarella, he was convinced, ending up having an allergy attack an hour later. I don't recommend it, especially for those with dietary restrictions that can lead to unpleasant incidents. Furthermore, once at the register, we asked to pay separately and were refused. Despite it being clear we were having difficulty, they didn't help us.

20/05/2026: We have been coming to this restaurant regularly for several years, and during our stay we repeatedly spent around €200 per evening for four people. We are not the kind of customers who write negative reviews after one small mistake. Quite the opposite — we kept returning because the service used to be friendly and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, even though the quality of the food sometimes depended on the shift and the kitchen staff on duty. Unfortunately, this time we reached the point where we decided we will never come back again. It was obvious that the kitchen staff had changed compared to previous days. The food quality suddenly dropped noticeably and everything felt careless and uninspired — for example, the prosciutto e melone was served with absolutely no attention to presentation or detail. That alone we could still tolerate. However, there were several other problems during the same visit. At the beginning, no bread was brought to the table, even though this had always been standard during our previous visits, and we had to ask for it ourselves. The same happened with Parmesan cheese for the pasta — my wife had to specifically ask for it, even though it was a pasta dish where Parmesan would normally be served automatically. These may seem like small details, but details are exactly what separates a good restaurant from an average one. What became completely unacceptable, however, was the behavior of a new young waiter we had never seen there before. After the starter, he removed the plates and literally dumped the used cutlery back onto the table for us to reuse with the main course. Honestly, we have never experienced something like this even in cheap tourist restaurants. We had to ask for clean cutlery ourselves. And then came the final moment that completely ruined the restaurant for us. The next morning, around 11 AM, we were walking past the restaurant. It was almost empty, and our friend simply wanted to quickly use the restroom. The same waiter aggressively stopped him with his hand and categorically refused to let him in — despite the fact that during the previous several days we had been eating lunches and dinners there regularly and spending a significant amount of money in the restaurant. At that moment, we realized we no longer wanted to return. Our usual long-time waiter was not there at the time, so perhaps the management is not even aware of what is happening. But that makes it even more unfortunate that one unprofessional employee can destroy a relationship and reputation that took years to build. Fortunately, there are many restaurants nearby with better food, more professional service, and staff who actually understand what hospitality and respect for customers mean. Sadly, we will not be returning again.

02/06/2026: Reservation confirmed, but the table wasn't available. The owner decided to cancel the reservation without warning, claiming we hadn't received confirmation. Worst of all, he didn't even change his attitude when we received the email confirming the reservation, failing, as befits a "character," to apologize for what happened. This is a place and person to absolutely avoid.

05/05/2026: Returning after years, but completely disappointed. Unfortunately, I only have to give 2 stars to this restaurant, which I remembered as being very good. The pasta with clams was terrible quality, sent back and charged half the price when it came to the bill.

04/05/2026: We went for lunch today. The food was truly awful. We had the pasta with salmon and zucchini, and it was inedible, like glue. We also had a Margherita pizza, and honestly, just looking at it, we immediately thought it wasn't a real pizza. It looked like a reheated crust with tomato and mozzarella on top, with no edges and undercooked. We definitely won't be back; I don't recommend it.

31/05/2026: Tried for an aperitif. FOOD: Average-to-low quality of ingredients. Poor chips. Water and mint served in a sad little plastic bottle with little mint, paired with a glass of ice. Poor presentation. SERVICE: Rushed and unprofessional staff. TABLE SERVICE IS NOT PROVIDED, canteen-style, terrible. ATMOSPHERE: Closely spaced tables, factory farm-style, with cheap furnishings. VALUE FOR MONEY: Prices are decidedly high for what's on offer. Poor value for money. Not recommended.
