10/08/2025: 6-star hotel with 3-star service The Hotel LeFay in Pinzolo was recommended to us by our daughter, who described it as a "paradise in the Dolomites," a place where she could forget all the worldly worries (which the world has showered upon us in abundance in recent years) and dedicate herself to meditation and eternity. Our daughter is never wrong, so we decided to stay at the LeFay for a week to escape the unbearable heat of Roman August. Our first impression, when we were shown our room, could be described as something between ecstasy and amazement: an unusually beautiful designer room, tastefully furnished and designed down to the smallest detail, combining breathtaking views of the Alpine peaks from the windows with traditional Northern Italian motifs in the decorations, giving the room a welcoming atmosphere and an inexhaustible desire to never leave. It must be said that this welcoming atmosphere, refined taste, and understated creativity characterize the design of the entire hotel, from the reception to the spa and gym. I think I'm right in saying that this was the most artistically designed hotel we've ever stayed in. Kudos and admiration to the architects, designers, and builders of this hotel: it has become a dominant feature of all of Pinzolo. But, trying to be honest in my assessments, I can't help but mention the flaws. While the hotel is commendable in terms of architecture, design, and attention to detail, it is truly mediocre in its level of service. It seems that during the high season (we were there in early August), the hotel management hastily hired non-professionals to "fill the gaps" in customer service. In order: 1. Dear hotel management, please make navigation between the hotel buildings more or less clear. Not to mention that the floor numbers in one building don't match those in another (you have to take an elevator to floor 3 only to, to your surprise, find yourself on floor 0 in another elevator), there are no signs indicating how to get to reception. As a result, on our first day, we got lost among the buildings and had to ask a hotel employee we'd met for directions. When we finally figured out how to get to the right floor, we saw two other guests calling on the phone, trying to figure out where they were, so they could get directions to reception. 2. Dear hotel management, please send your most disheartened employees to courses where they can explain that nothing is as cheap and doesn't cost as much as a smile to a guest. The expression on some waiters' faces when they bring you coffee is something more than "these annoying guests still want something from us" that I can't describe. 3. For the first time in my life, probably in a 5-star hotel, every time I needed to ask for something at the front desk, I had to stand in line with 2-3 people and wait 10-15 minutes. It seems to me that a hotel that charges up to €1,000 a night for a room should be able to hire 2-3 more employees to solve this problem. 3. Speaking of coffee. I understand that coffee isn't as obsessive in northern Italy as it is in central or southern Italy, but upgrading the coffee machine and purchasing regular beans isn't a huge expense compared to the disappointment low-quality coffee brings to your guests. Believe me, a hotel of your caliber deserves better coffee than the one you currently serve. Overall, I hope the management manages to raise the bar on service to match the design and furnishings, and then, without a doubt, the Lefay will become the best hotel in Trentino, and perhaps in all of Italy. 02/08/2025: We stayed at Lefay for one night as we were making our way into South Tyrol to see some of the epic Dolomites. The views are of surrounding mountains and a valley overlooking a town. Pretty. The architecture and vibe of the resort is very nice and impressive. Staff were wonderful, Julia the concierge was friendly and helped us get acquainted with the resort. Great restaurant and food! We enjoyed our stay but were looking forward to moving on to getting into the higher peaks and more quintessential Dolomites.

17/03/2025: Hotel in the center of Campiglio with a view of the famous 3/tre slope. Clean rooms, welcoming common areas and excellent and varied food, but above all the kindness and availability of the owners make the difference. Spa large and complete with a beautiful hot tub with a view. What can I say, I hope to return soon!

07/09/2025: After a week trekking the via ferrata of the Dolomiti Brenta Group, my husband and I spent a day relaxing in Madonna di Compiglio. Due to my special diet, we searched restaurants out of the tourist area for menus that catered to my Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) diet. We liked the menu of Ristorante Pizzeria al Pappagallo, and it was within walking distance of our hotel. The second we walked in, we were greeted like family by Sarah, who shared a hearty hello and a warm, welcoming smile. She offered us a cozy corner table and was an absolute delight to converse with. The food was outstanding! The wine was perfect! And the atmosphere was local Italian. We met Sandra, the owner, who shared that she opened the establishment in 1977. Don't miss this place when you visit Madonna di Campiglio! It's worth the uphill walk! Thank you, Sarah and Sandra, we will be back! Ciao

06/09/2025: It was our first time here, and I must say they welcomed us with a smile and a unique sense of warmth. Compliments to pizza chef Beppe, the pizza was soft, super-topped, and delicious. Not to mention the fabulous staff, especially the super-friendly Sara, who served us cheerfully and professionally. I recommend it to everyone.

10/06/2025: We stayed in March 2025 in this beautiful family-run hotel and we were thrilled in every aspect. The services are impeccable, the room was spacious and offered a breathtaking view of the Dolomites, completely immersed in nature. The cuisine is truly special, with carefully prepared and genuine dishes, and the shuttle service is always available and very convenient for every need. We went with our 15-month-old baby and he also had a great time: all the staff was welcoming and attentive, and there was a playroom perfect for the little ones. The SPA is another strong point of the hotel, with a spectacular view of the mountains that makes every moment of relaxation even more magical. A stay that we will carry in our hearts and that we truly recommend to those looking for a holiday dedicated to comfort, nature and genuine hospitality.

18/03/2025: Beautiful place a little outside the center but wonderfully served by the shuttle driven by the friendly Andrea. The room, perhaps room 305, was beautiful, the spa managed by a very kind and knowledgeable lady, the wonderful cuisine. Overall, a 10 and praise. Well done! However, never forget the key 😅

15/06/2025: Classic mountain refuge at 2120 m. Very nice, all in wood with large windows. Beautiful view from the tables outside. Normal prices. Friendly staff. The road that reaches it from the underlying Nambrone refuge, to be traveled by car, is very narrow. Difficulty parking on arrival, moments of crowds. From the refuge, possibility of various walks.

26/08/2025: Always a guarantee, there's no better gelato in all of Pinzolo. Excellent location, right in the center, and the girls at the counter are extremely friendly.

24/08/2025: Five-star gelato, smooth and incredibly good. It's addictive, especially the Linzer Torte flavor. ❤️❤️❤️If you're passing through Pinzolo, treat yourself to a moment of ecstasy.

24/08/2025: The location alone is worth the trip! It's located on the side of the road from Sant'Antonio di Mavignola to Madonna di Campiglio, with a view of the Brenta Dolomites, which is breathtaking, especially at sunset. The well-maintained stone and wood structure, nestled on a slope at the edge of the forest, looks like a fairytale house. There's also a large parking lot, also in a scenic location. It offers a very extensive menu, with many local dishes (I especially loved the venison shanks). The staff is attentive and courteous, and the prices are fair. It's best to book in advance, as it's very popular.

23/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant. The food was decent, but the service was terrible. The two young waiters circulated like vultures, and as soon as the dish was finished, they came to the table to take it away. Twice, I was still chewing, and they took my plate away without even asking. When it came to the bill (€120), although the customers before and after us were offered a digestive grappa, we were not offered anything. The food was okay, but it definitely needs improvement. We won't be returning.
