26/12/2024: Ate schnitzel with chips: rather greasy and with not particularly good chips, baked ones are better. It looked more like a reheated dish than a freshly made one. Too bad: beautiful setting!

13/12/2024: Fast service, Slovak boys, excellent food, prepared to us before the kitchen was supposed to officially cook it. The prices are a bit higher, but presto I recommend visiting this establishment. Year 2024: again nothing to complain about, everything is luxurious. Attention - the soups are huge. Beautifully warm inside.

19/09/2024: Pampered! I think this is the word that best describes the feeling you get when staying here. The service is fast and courteous, the rooms are not only beautiful but also truly comfortable and equipped with much more than is necessary. The relaxation area with swimming pool and various saunas (plus other services which I unfortunately did not have time to try) is pleasant.

02/11/2024: Pork belly very generous portion size though a bit fatty as you expect with pork belly. Whilst pork had flavour but there was nothing notable on sauce or seasoning. Relaxed friendly service and nice atmosphere. Not open at lunch time despite saying so on Google - FRUSTRATING (we visited another evening)

04/10/2024: Best stop in town after a long day on the bike! Great to sit outside or cozy inside. Prompt and attentive service, they admire my appetite year after year :D The steak platter with shaved Parmeggiano & Balsamic is a work of art!

And after reading a couple of reviews that comment on the prices, deeming them high, it should be explained to these gentlemen that there, as in many mountain places, obtaining raw materials has on average higher costs. Ps the staff was very courteous

10/09/2024: We stay in Penia just 2 nights, it is sugested to make reservation,we dine here both evenings 4 people.....as we were very happy with food....traditional pasta and pizza were top👍...simple restaurant with excelent friendly,kind,profesional service....speaking deutch,english...I can definitly sugest and I would for sure come back....♥️💯

16/09/2024: Very nice wellness hotel. A few relaxation rooms in the sauna area. It's harder to get a permanent spot after a sauna or swimming pool session. Otherwise very good food and friendly staff. Location nice.

25/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in questo bellissimo locale lungo il percorso che da Canazei porta alle cascate basaltiche di Mortic. Menù davvero tipico della vallata, qualità davvero ottima. Abbiamo preso un piatto con salsiccia, polenta e funghi e dei ravioli ai porcini davvero squisiti, ed infine un dolce tra i molti fatti in casa disponibili. Una nota di merito allo Staff molto cordiale e disponibile, una bella sorpresa, consigliato!

18/08/2024: Incuriositi dalle recensioni abbiamo pranzato qui, e le aspettative non sono rimaste deluse! La baita è raggiungibile tramite una breve ma ripida salita, al di sotto del quale c'è un ampio parcheggio. In alternativa vi è una cabinovia che vi porta al passo sella e si può raggiungere la baita in discesa e ritornare al parcheggio. In questa piccola ma efficiente baita abbiamo apprezzato la presenza di piatti diversi rispetto a quelli presenti in molti ristori del luogo. Abbiamo scelto due uova speck e patate presentate in due padelline che erano veramente buone e abbondanti, si trattava di un rostel con sopra le uova dal tuorlo fondente e fette di speck. Buono il caffè, così come la presenza di sdraii per prendere il sole. Ovviamente data la fama è sempre piuttosto affollato quindi consigliamo di armarsi di pazienza e di scegliere orari non di punta visto che la cucina chiude alle 17. Prezzi nella media per la zona. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

05/12/2024: .. I had already been there this summer and I was already happy .. in winter however it's a completely different thing .. warm and welcoming place, good service, fabulous pizza .. I decided to choose the "bomba" pizza according to the taste of the pizza chef, I must say that a masterpiece has come out... the only thing that makes me turn up my nose a little are the prices, but I come from a small provincial town in the middle of the mountains, it's logical that if say you're in Canazei during Christmas, it's fine..

24/11/2024: Excellent food in a family restaurant. Not having booked, we ate on the veranda with the heating off. Fast but not very attentive service

05/11/2024: Barettino in a fantastic position between the Marmolada, the Dam and Lake Fedaia. In summer there is a terrace with umbrellas, while when it is cold there are few tables inside the small place. The choice is limited, but the place should be taken for what it is: a small bar where you can stop for a sandwich, a glass of wine, a beer or... cake & cappuccino. Inside, however, there is also a large choice of souvenirs or beautiful t-shirts dedicated to the Alps, the Marmolada and the Dolomites. Fast and kind service.

30/07/2024: It is a sale of typical products that has a space for consuming breakfasts, snacks, lunches and snacks. The service is carried out by very young but very kind and fast girls. The strong point are the sandwiches and platters, but also the yogurt-based dessert and the almond biscuit.

23/07/2024: Everything excellent!!! The cured meats, especially the speck, are spectacular. The craft beers are really good. Kindness and professionalism.

17/10/2024: I have been frequenting that area for many years. It is well known that the managers of the Ciampac Refuge are not among the nicest (let's put it that way). I have entered the refuge several times and this reputation has always been confirmed. Everything is confirmed even more after speaking on the phone with the main manager of the hut. Great apathy, extreme cynicism and strong arrogance shine through from the tone used and the words expressed. All just for trying to ask if they had free periods between February and March to be able to book rooms for a group of 10 people. The "big problem" that made the person I was talking to nervous was that I wasn't specific in the required time frame. This is simply because as a group we could organize ourselves on any weekend in those two months, also based on the availability of the cabin. Well this great "anomaly" greatly upset the manager who accused me of even making fun of him. The call went very badly and the phone ended up being hung up on. I was just a potential customer who wanted information about staying there, but you can see that they work so well that they don't care about listening to new people and not loyal ones. Blessed are they! As far as I'm concerned, the human relationship will always come before money. Happy season at Rifugio Ciampac... Who knows, however, if they were to change one day, if they needed to retain new ones... well.
