07/02/2026: Soulfood in Merano is one of my favourite dinner spots in town 🍕✨ A place that feels effortlessly cool, consistently delivers excellent pizza and has become a must‑reserve restaurant because it fills up fast.
The pizzas here are genuinely great, with a beautifully matured dough and high quality toppings that make every slice satisfying and flavourful 🍅🧀. One of my favourites is a trio of pizzas with mortadella, anchovies, and tomatoes with basil — each bite a delightful balance of savoury, salty and fresh ingredients. You can feel the attention in the dough, the bakes and the crust every time you dig in. 
I ordered the pizza with mortadella and tomatoes topped with a whole mozzarella, and it was soooo good. The cheese was creamy, the base chewy in all the right ways, and it hit that spot between rustic Italian and playful modern pizza.
Despite being completely stuffed after the starters and pizza, I couldn’t resist ordering tiramisu to finish the meal 🍰. Best decision ever. Creamy, well balanced and just sweet enough to round everything off perfectly.
This is one of the hottest restaurants in Merano, reservations are definitely required if you want a seat. Worth every moment for the great pizzas, cosy atmosphere and memorable meal. Highly recommend ❤️🍷👏
31/01/2026: Not the first place to turn pizza into a special experience with dedication and creativity.
For me, the standout feature is the dough/crust; it's the best I've ever eaten. No wonder, given their connection to Backificio.
However, there are a few minor criticisms: Do they use particularly high-quality ingredients? In our opinion, there was far too much cheese. And considering the premium prices I'm willing to pay for high-quality products, the description of the ingredients is too brief. I didn't see anything about organic ingredients or anything like that.
But: it remains excellent pizza, definitely a good recommendation.

29/09/2025: My girlfriend and I unfortunately only stayed one night in your cozy Ortlerblick suite on our return trip from Milan.
We were overwhelmed by the beautiful 180-degree view of the Alps from our balcony and our accommodation. Our suite was very modern and absolutely clean.
The Illmer family owns a very well-maintained, comfortable, and tastefully furnished property, which they make available to their guests along with friendly and courteous staff.
Not only the very friendly hotelier, but also the service team took great care of our well-being.
The 5-course dinner menu was exceptionally varied, a feast for the eyes, and very digestible. For a vegetarian like me, there was a huge selection of delicacies.
The service came to our table regularly and discreetly to provide us with the best culinary delights. The selection of drinks, both at dinner and breakfast, left nothing to be desired. The breakfast offerings were very extensive. There were a variety of fresh juices, fruit, rolls, bread, cheeses, etc.
We are very sorry we only booked for one night. Next time, we will definitely stay longer to have more time for the luxurious wellness area. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her massage in the afternoon. The masseuse was very competent and pleasantly warm.
We wish the Illmer family all the best and thank you for the enchanting stay.

They take your plates away while you're eating even though the place is empty.
We had to ask for bread!

24/07/2025: Die Hütte ist toll , Preisilch sehr gehoben aber dafür sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.die einen tollen Job machen .
Was gar nicht geht ist das Tartar. Das war wirklich das schlimmste was ich jemals serviert bekommen habe . Leider , da ich weis das man in Südtirol echt leckeres bekommen kann.
Serviert wurde, in eine Form gequetschtes Hackfleisch, ohne Salz,Pfeffer,Eigelb Senf . Dafür mit ausgetrocknetem Salat der nicht abgemacht war und eine Scheibe Brot . Sehr schade !!
Der Rest war sehr lecker , der Kaiserschmarren, das Gulasch und die Ravioli waren vorzüglich .
18/07/2025: Questo luogo è davvero speciale, non solo per gli scenari circostanti ma anche per l'impostazione culinaria. Il percorso a piedi per arrivarci è molto bello, tra ruscelletti ed abeti ed il cibo fantastico ed esteticamente bello. Un piacere per gli occhi ed il palato assieme.
Luca lo chef ci ha accolto con calore familiare ed anche il nostro cagnolino Artù ha fatto salti di gioia per gli ottimi canederli che ha potuto gustare!
Il posto è molto curato, con amache e chaises longues ed angoli gioco per bambini, ragazzi ed adulti che sembrano sculture artistiche.
Location assolutamente consigliata!

04/08/2024: Meiner Meinung nach: die Stafellalm hat ihren Namen nicht gestohlen, das Essen kam schön gestaffelt. Aber das Essen war sehr fein und die Bedienung war freundlich, ein Minuspunkt war das andere Gäste laut einen Schnaps angeboten bekommen haben, aber uns wurde nichts angeboten

03/11/2023: Wir hatten wie alle 6-8 Wochen wieder einen Besuch bei Karolina am Hasshof. Wie immer wurden wir herzlichst empfangen und bewirtet. Wir durften wieder Ihre selbstgemachten Schmankerl probieren! Wie alles was Karolina zubereitet oder selbst herstellt ein absoluter Genuss. Herzlichen Dank und wieder ein großes Lob von uns Allen!
