31/03/2025: Per me il rifugio migliore di Abetone-Val di Luce. Location bellissima una "terrazza al sole" con vista su tutto il comprensorio della Val di Luce. Cibo buonissimo dalle schiacciate, ai panini, alle tigelle, alle torte, per non parlare del self service dove gustare un'ottima polenta tradizionale o taragna con vari condimenti, dal cervo ai funghi locali, pasta al mirtillo e tante altre prelibatezze che cambiano ogni giorno. Lo staff è simpaticissimo. Per me è tappa fissa quando vado a sciare o a camminare l'estate.

21/01/2026: We went here for dinner tonight and I was absolutely devastated. The food was poor, and the service was equally as bad. We ordered an appetizer to share, three first courses, and a second course. No small plates were brought to share; they were only brought after requesting one. The portions were small, the food tasted bland (there was no salt anywhere), and the wait was endless, over 40 minutes between the appetizer and the first course. The hare ragù tasted like sour tomato and not much meat, and the blueberry and stracciatella risotto tasted only of sugar and butter. I'm disappointed because I remember coming here three or four years ago and the food was stellar, and the service, which I remember as very attentive and friendly, was excellent. It's not my style to write negative reviews, but honestly, a paltry, tasteless steak with pan-fried pickled vegetables sold as "veal fillet accompanied by soft polenta" for €30 seemed like a huge joke. We had to ask for the accompanying polenta, for some reason. We had to get the oil, salt, and pepper ourselves from the next table. Terrible, and we'll never return. The only positive note: the twin waiter, who at least brought a few smiles to our faces.
