25/10/2024: We stayed in this little mountain top village where in truth there were few places to eat . So we ate here three times in a month (we cooked at home a lot). Twice we had pizza which were delicious. I’m not exaggerating to say they were the best I’ve ever had. Home made stuffed crust base one time and one star shaped another. Perfectly cooked with delicious toppings and certainly not like anything available in the uk,in my experience. The last time was on the eve of our departure from Sicily and this time we had pasta. There was no choice just what the chef proposed which was fresh locally grown porcini mushrooms,which had just come into season with tagliatelle. Delicious 👌. Each time they made us a different kind of salad,at our request to nibble at asa starter and to accompany our main course. The service was efficient and as friendly as is possible where there is no common language. Local wine is cheap,decent and available in a jug. A large glass of Prosecco seemed a good way to start the meal. It’s open all day so if in San Mauro pop in for a snack,something more substantial or a glass of bubbly.

11/02/2025: Ci siamo trovati a Palermo e con una voglia di pizza ci siamo imbattuti sulla ricerca di una pizzeria d’asporto, non conoscevamo questa Pizzeria, l’abbiamo trovata su Deliveroo e siamo rimasti veramente soddisfatti dall’impasto delle pizze molto leggero, condimento abbondante e super fresco, arrivate belle calde nei tempi previsti e bibite fresche. Unica pecca ma non importante, avevo richiesto le posate e non c’erano. Per il resto tutto ok

19/11/2024: Io ci vado sempre e lo consiglio perché i lavoratori sono educati e la pizza è buonaaaaaaaaa!! E non fanno solo la pizza ma anche pezzi di rosticceria:sarà la tua prossima destinazione fidati!!!

26/09/2024: Superb wines. Delicious olive oil and bruschetta and saffron-infused cheese - they prepared some simple food to accompany a tasting of Etna wines. Really friendly and generous.

16/08/2024: My wife and I did the Discovering Tascante wine tasting experience at their Tascante Estate on Mt. Etna. If you are in the Mt. Etna area, like wine and a great tasting experience, you must do this experience! It was one of the highlights of our trip to this area, and one of the best wine tasting experiences we have had anywhere in the world. Vittoria and Emilio (hope I got that right!) were amazing hosts. They were fun, knowledgeable, and treated us to a great time. The wines we tasted were amazing, and the food was too. And then we also enjoyed the olive oil. I can't think of a better way to spend a couple hours in Sicily!
