22/08/2024: Al ristorante Acquadelferro del Best Western Santa Caterina di Acireale, la cena di pesce è un viaggio tra sapori autentici e panorami indimenticabili. Ho degustato un trancio di cernia in guazzetto di pomodorini datterino e basilico che mi ha davvero conquistata. La selezione dei vini completa un’esperienza di gusto unica. Se cerchi il connubio perfetto tra cucina siciliana e panorama da sogno, questo è il posto giusto.

15/08/2024: Mediocre experience. 3 stars, thanks to the terrace overlooking the sea and the ice cream that I enjoyed. I don't know if I'll go back. I ordered two varieties of hot table, including: the spring onion, (nothing wrong with the raw material, but,...) the dough is not exceptional, the enveloping covering of crunchy pastry is missing, the result, a sort of cartocciata with onion, tomato and mozzarella. Then the arancino with ragù... the rice a little overcooked, the ragù not very tasty, the cooking of the fried food was fair. Surprisingly, the pistachio and chocolate ice cream was good, I'll probably come back for this!... The service penalizes everything, there is a lack of experience and perhaps little motivated enthusiasm!... Too many errors, first of all, it is not acceptable to serve a one liter bottle of water at room temperature on a hot summer day, and charge 2 euros, or bring a drink after the food arrives at the table, or provide only a plastic glass per person to drink both the drink and the water, or not bring a few more napkins to the table in addition to the already greasy ones used to wrap the food. The place needs some care, but the veranda has a sea view which raises my final opinion!...

13/08/2024: For me it is an experience to forget. For pizza we are absolutely not there. Cooked as if it were biscuits, the bresaola seemed old, the crust, as well as being hard, was dry and there wasn't even a drizzle of oil to make it softer. The seasoning all thrown on the center. Service, I'm sorry to say it but as you can see from my reviews I always praise the people who work even if there are some flaws, but it was very rude. I had to sit at a table of four people and I was the first to arrive. I asked which table was booked over and over again and the same answer was "go over there, my colleague is there" when in fact there was absolutely no one in the room to welcome us. I brought this up but apparently no one was interested. I waited for my friends to come and that was it (very annoyed honestly). We sit on the terrace, beautiful with the sea of ​​Santa Tecla as a backdrop. Too bad there were a lot of people on that terrace and there was barely room to move, in defiance of safety. I spent 15 euros for pizza, a beer, cover charge and a bottle of water divided into 4. When they tell me to go to the Gorgona pizzeria I will certainly have a more important pressing commitment....

05/08/2024: Every time we come here to Sicily we stop by for breakfast at this place and as usual it never disappoints! Creamy granita accompanied by the classic brioche with a nice hot cap, modern and expanded place compared to 2 years ago, low prices, with little you can have a nice hearty breakfast, there are 2 sizes of granita, the almond, chocolate and pistachio flavors are recommended 💥💥🔝

07/07/2024: Assolutamente una garanzia nell’acese . Una pizzeria d’asporto davvero buona. Per diversi anni io e mio marito abbiamo cambiato e cercato una pizzeria d’asporto come quella dell Sig. Calabretta . Attento alle richieste del cliente ( anche di sabato sera e non è da poco) impasto pizza e condimenti buoni.

22/07/2024: Delightful little place in the center of Acireale, in Piazza Garibaldi. Perfect for an aperitif with friends: we took 2 platters and several drinks. The Negroni and B52 are excellent, the mojitos are good but a little light (not much rum!) 🤣 Quality cutting boards thanks to an excellent choice of raw materials. Very good quality/price ratio, friendly and unobtrusive service. Super recommended.

26/08/2024: Excellent location for visiting the Scapa dei Turchi, camper area close to the sea and served by a shuttle to the centre, kind managers and very helpful

24/08/2024: Small camper parking area but has every service. We were in the front row with a sea view, little shade but very windy. Staircase to get to the beach a stone's throw from the Scala dei Turchi or free shuttle. Polite and friendly staff, we also took advantage of the paid shuttle to the Valley of the Temples. €35 with loading/unloading, electricity and hot showers in the middle of August seems like a fair price to me. The Scala dei Turchi has been reopened and you can buy the ticket online (pity that there is little control and so everyone goes up)
